There are so many choices of icecream and gelati at the Augustus Gelatery ranging from the staple to the atypical. The customer area has an inside eating area and an outdoor courtyard with plenty of COVID safe distance between tables. Chocolate flavour is incredible, as is the lemon. Mint chocolate was a little disappointing.

The crowds dont lie 🚶🏼‍♀️🚶🏻🚶🏽‍♂️🏃🏼‍♀️ This mecca of indulgence is strategically located at the foot of the Dandies and on the way to Thousand Steps. Tons of flavours, the usual classics and some too intriguing to resist (I went for the Carrot Cake 🤤👍). Eldest says its the best Green Apple sorbet that he’s ever had. Younger 2 made a beeline for Cotton Candy and Bubble Gum. Prices are reasonable and the service was fantastic. Lovely and clean family-run shop with junior and princess manning the counter on weekends. Tons of space inside and out back. Great find - can’t wait to return!

I’ve given it five starts as it’s normally five stars but if tonight was my first time there I’m not sure I would go back. The chocolate ice cream had way to much cocoa in it and ruined my other two flavours when I had them all together, all I could taste was cocoa and unfortunately had to throw away the chocolate ice cream. I normally swap between chocolate and cookies and cream, as they had no cookies and cream I went for chocolate and completely regret it. Won’t be getting chocolate ever again. Can still taste the cocoa now about an hour later and after water

Really good gelato and allowed to taste test. Can’t fault it and the price isn’t too expensive. A good selection of sorbet and also 4 vegan varieties that don’t taste like coconut cream. Lots of space to sit including an outdoor area.

Honestly the best staff I've ever accounted with this lockdown mess. Had to order a birthday cake for my partner and the staff went above and beyond to make that happen. Couldn't be more thankful and yes the cake was so gorgeous and delicious! Thank you Rachel for all your help and understanding.

Great Baci and Lemon. A nice cool vibe. A huge range of gelato and sorbet, as well as milkshakes. You can go either with a cup or waffle cone with 1,2 or 3 scoops; and they also offer 1/2 litre & 1 litre take home packs. They have a cabinet with amazing looking full-sized cakes which are $45 each, but they look worth it. This is a really nicely designed space, and feels more at home in Richmond than Upper Ferntree Gully, and that is a good thing because this place was previously an empty ex-ANZ bank. So the owners should be commended for having the verve to inject a bit of inner city design into the area. Check out the ceiling once inside of you need any more proof.

Great range of Ice Cream, around 36 flavours on offer as seen on the menu. I had the green apple. Service from staff was mediocre on Sunday evening 10th Jan, maybe it was the hot weather, who knows. Will def visit again and hopefully we will have a more friendly experience from the staff, if not, there are a few other gelati cafes to choose in the area.

We went to Augustus last night. One word AMAZING! First of all the place itself looks so clean & modern. It really stands out. I bought 2 scoops with cookies & cream and salted caramel. Beautiful ice creams, warm and friendly service even when busy, and a stylish cool fit out and vibe that is just what our lovely yet dated neighbourhood needs. Flavour options are interesting and innovative, along with tried and tested reliable we all know well. Deserving of every success we hope is on its way.

Slightly frustrated at the fact we thought we would support local and not visit ColdRock but with prices like Augustus Gelatery we could have driven to the other side of town for ice cream. The fad will wear off soon and when it does they will be forced to drop the prices or face extinction.
