If you haven’t been to Bico yet, you are missing out big time! Contrary to several other gelaterias that put way too much sugar in their gelato, Bico does it just right! The father-son team creates gelatos that should win prizes. Try the fortnightly specials. Follow their instagram to see the current specials. Order chocolate fondant and ricotta citrus - my favourite classic combo. Very friendly and fun neighborhood place. A must go.

Probably the best Gelato I have ever had in Melbourne. The customer service was fantastically friendly, and the atmosphere was both hip and family friendly. They having constantly updating specials that make you eager to come back often, whilst the staple traditional gelato flavours are reminiscent of the artisan gelato found in Italy. What is almost underrated are the good quality coffee; this place definitely knows a good Cappuccino. I can’t wait to be here all summer tasting their fresh new flavours and indulging in the beautiful sweets and refreshing granita, a true reflection of the best Italian sweet treats Melbourne has to offer.

Some of the nicest customer service I've ever experienced, and the guy serving me was pretty cute too. The atmosphere and the vibes were amazing, the Italian disco music really set the scene for an absolute flavour experience of the highest quality, will definitely be going back.

I’ve tried many gelato places in search for the best and I’ve came closest to what I think I perfection. You can’t go wrong with the usual Hazelnut and of course the pistachio. Amazingly smooth and creamy. Good consistency and not overpoweringly sweet. Love the texture and taste. I could go on. Good service too and friendly guy. Tells you a bit of his history. I’ll be back! It is also reasonably priced and sizeable portion. Overall a 9/10!

Melbourne behold, the one and only- Tartufo Di Pizzo! This is the pinnacle of gelato evolution. And let me tell you, this is no pre-prepared cheap inferior copy. Bico's are the hand made argtigianal real deal! No surprise since the owners are from the Pizzo locality and clearly tartuffi are in their DNA. The flavor of the gelato itself is second to none, but the particular combination of these ingredients is pure frozen joy. Grazie Bico!

Best gelato in Brunswick! So happy when these guys opened. Located conveniently next to woolies so I can get my gelato fix after a quick shopping run. The gelato is definitely made of the highest quality of ingredients and tastes so delicious. Interior is very neat and minimal with eclectic pink neon signs. Every time I visit it’s so tidy inside, never messy. Haven’t tried the coffee yet but would like to suggest they do chai lattes! Some people don’t have caffeine addictions and a chai latte goes down well with gelato ;)

Just a stone's throw away from Woolies and the Brunswick station lies @GelateriaBico a purveyor of gelato. Plenty to choose from I asked about the tartifu - an ice cream creation of different gelato and other ingredients. Bianco took my fancy, vanilla and coffee gelato with hazelnuts and the first bite had me hooked. Delicious vanilla ice cream, love the hazelnuts on the outside for a nutty flavour, and then you get the coffee. Certainly a lovely treat to savour. This one - I dare say TOPS that!!!! It's got a roasted flavour of pistachio that's super satisfying! I went to heaven today. I also tried the yoghurt berry, hazelnut and Chocolate which were all AMAZING! This gelataria is a hidden gem!!!!! Highly strongly recommend as a Must visit!

The gelato is so good here! Lots of different flavours and the texture is perfect. I tried the pistachio one and it really tasted like the real thing... and the hazelnut is hands down the best! Unfortunately they use plastic spoons, two thumbs down and a sad face for that.

Nice local gelato place. Had the key lime pie and coffee gelato. Don't know what key lime pie is, but it's yum. Coffee flavor was strong, not too sweet so delicious! Dropped one star because it wasn't busy and he only let us try 1 to 2 flavours.

Great place, older serving gentleman was quite patient while we looked at the menu & couldn't decide. I giggled at some names, the menu is a nice play on some words (i can only read minimal Italian) and it was $12 for a single scoop cone & 2 scoop cup which is less than what i've paid at big gelato chains so i can really appreciate that. Really enjoyed the fior di banana with the yoghurt and berry! My partner's chocolate almost tasted exactly like i was licking a cup of milo too :)

LOVE this place. My partner is Italian and we're always searching for Melbourne's best gelato.. We think this may be it. Beautiful flavours (GENUINE flavours, none of that Vanilla with nutella poured over the top nonsense), great service and great vibes! Hot tip: Get the tiramisu, it's AMAZING. I couldn't stop myself from leaning over the counter like a kid while it was being served!

This gelateria is well worth getting off Sydney Road for. The flavours that these guys put up are delicious, and there are enough unique flavours that make me want to come back to see what else they create! You can tell that they really know what they are doing here - the flavour combos and mouthfeel make you feel like you're on holiday in Italy. Bring on summer so that I have more excuses to visit!

The best ice cream in Melbourne. There are lots of great places in Melbourne like Miinot, Beku, Pidapipo and Messina for example but these guys take the cake for the best in Melbourne. A father and son team selling their family recipes along with some modern creations. Every single one of their flavours is a must try. Be sure to check out their Pistachio (the best pistachio ice cream I have ever tasted), Stracciatella and Ricotta & Citrus.

Being Italian, I’ve been looking for the perfect Gelato for ages. I tried all the most popular gelaterie in Melbourne, but nothing will ever beat Bico! They use fresh top quality ingredients and you can totally feel it. This ice-cream reminds me of my childhood summers and my nonna’s house; you can’t find anything similar in Melbourne! They have Granita, Tartufi and gelato Cannoli too, which is a treat for connoisseurs. Not only are Domenico and his son Davide two ice-cream masters, but they’re also very kind and friendly people.

My favourite pistachio gelato of all time! It's pretty hard to beat Melbourne's gelaterias but Bico has done it. The texture of the gelato is creamy, almost chewy and smooth. Worth travelling to for sure. Get the pistachio!
