I went here for dessert with my partner. We shared some absolutely delicious ice cream and a chocolate milkshake. This place is fantastic. The ice cream was soo good, my thickshake was thick, creamy and it is suprisingly good given that everything in this shop is vegan and plant based. It doesn't get any better than this!! This place is a must visit. Previous review - June 2017 I have been trying to find a great chocolate thick shake for some time now. You know when you get something on your mind and you just can't get it out of your head? Haha Well today was the day to fix that craving! I called into Girls and Boys which is a vegan/vegetarian ice cream shop. OMGosh this place is amazing!!! I had a chocolate thick shake ($8) but it was worth it. It was definitely a meal in itself!! Perfect, no need for brekkie this morning haha This place is definitely worth a visit. If you want good heathy sustainable food this is definitely the place to go. Alternatively if you just want some yummy ice cream etc this is a great choice too haha. Enjoy 😋

Hold. The. Phone. This place is amazing!! A full vegan menu and plenty of gluten free options. I got a caramel sundae w/ chocolate macadamia gelato and it was AMAZING. 10/10, would definitely eat too much ice cream and suffer through the stomach ache again.

VEGAN MECCA - SO GOOD. I had the cookie butter which was yum, also tasted the peanut, tiramisu and coconut which were delish...was so hard to decide which to have. came here for dessert last night and was not let down! i chose a chocolate sundae with vanilla and snickers flavoured 'ice cream' and it was so delicious and filling. i really loved the fudge pieces that came on the top. my partner got the berry choc top and vanilla flavour and enjoyed them both. however there wasnt a very expansive range of flavours - and the thickshakes can sadly only be made with two specific flavours. id love to see this range grow! overall it was a good experience and i will be coming back

Delicious vegan ice cream in a funky place with an interactive LED wall. They rotate some of the flavours but I would recommend to try their chocolate ice cream, it's always rich and velvety. The service is in general good but not especially consistent.

Nice spot for vegan treats. 3 stars because the staff are quite rude here, especially to those suffering from conditions that prevent them from wearing a mask. I've had eye rolls and one of your staff even scoffed at me despite being legally exempt which dampens the mood and makes me want to spend my money elsewhere. Smoothies could also be a little thicker but other than that, generally good. Please train staff to be more open minded of diversity.

10/10 for ice cream as always! I have been here for 4 times now. Every time I visit Fitzroy, I come to boys and girls. The tiramisu is by far my favourite! However, I’ve never had a problem till today with customer service, the girl there seems condescending and has an attitude. All the other staff I’ve seen are always friendly and they offer to try flavours, so there’s the contrast. Otherwise, delicious ice cream but maybe this person can improve :)

Some of the best ice cream I’ve ever had. Vegan or not it is 100% the best ice cream in the area, and probably in melbourne. It’s creamy, delicate, subtle, and incredibly tasty. I love the hazelnut and cookie dough honey comb (beautifully balanced)

Great vegan desserts, icecream is good. The Mini icecreams (magnum Style) are a must try, pretty much the same or better than dairy ones. Prices are a bit higher but worth it.

💕A M A Z I N G 💕 I'm lactose intolerant and enjoy consuming vegan sweets but oh goodness this place has set the bar high for me! Upon entry it's a cozy little shop that shares the same for Vegie Bar's takeaway service. There isn't a lot of seating however there is a funky LED screen that captures your movement (kids LOVE it). The menu itself isn't overly complex however I wasn't sure what flavour to get with my sundae and the friendly staff members recommended me vanilla bean. I humbly devoured such an amazing product; the chocolate pieces were fudge and it blended well with the smoothness of the gelato, the chocolate sauce, and the little nut toppings. It wasn't overly sweet (which I was worried about) and was enough to fill you up but not in a gross "I overate and need a nap" way. Definitely give this place a go if you're in the area!

Amazing all vegan ice cream 😂 I ordered the espresso and choc hazelnut flavours and it's some of the best icecream I've had, vegan or otherwise. My non-vegan friend was flabbergasted and wondered how it was made. All I know is it's delicious!

Soooo good! I couldn't even tell this was vegan ice cream. It's super creamy and delicious. I got the mint choc chip and it's probably the best mint choc chip ice cream I've had (vegan and traditional). The mint flavor is strong without being too herby and the serving size is also huge. Total winner in my books!

This place has such good ice-cream, it's all really delicious. I'd say the salted caramel has been my favourite so far. Not so many places to sit, especially in winter, but you can usually get a seat inside. They also have a cool motion sensor screen, it's fun to play with while you're waiting in line.

All the dessert options are amazing. As you would expect, it is on the expensive side, however I am happy to pay for unrefined sugar free vegan options. However, the serving size of gelato varies, and when they are charging as much as they are, its inconsistent and a total rip off! Hopefully they can try and standardize a bit as well, ensuring the staff are also trained properly.

Divine vegan icecream with VEGAN WAFFLE CONES 😍 Other delicious desserts such as icecream cookie sandwich and smoothie bowls! I had the choc mint icecream and it was perfection. Very cool fit out, nicely decorated. They also have preprepared vegan salads and other lunch items for takeaway. Friendly service but not much seating, you may have to take your icecream away rather than sit and enjoy it there.

$5 for a scoop of ice cream is pricey but oh my is it worth it! Absolutely delish! The strawberry rose was not particularly strawberry flavoured but it packed a punch with the rose and reminded me of Turkish delight. The mini magnums were also very tasty, the icecream inside mine had liquified but the lady serving us double checked about it as she was serving my friend offered to replace it and when I decline because it was still great gave it to me half price. Hows that for service?

The 'greenhouse' smoothie was delicious. Only 4 stars because it was served in a single-user plastic container with plastic straw. Girls & Boys team, would you consider using reusable containers & paper straws for eat-in? And non-plastic options for takeaway? It would make the wonderfully earth-ethical choice of vegan food even more sustainable. I appreciate it might cost more, but I ask you to consider the overall cost for us all.

First of all, great food. Super friendly staff. One experience I had there was a guy coming in and harassing the staff and attempting to steal.
