Summer is coming and we are almost out of lockdown... nothing better than a social unless it is an Ice Cream Social. All dad jokes aside. They have cakes, coffee, snacks, pies and of course ice cream. Highly recommend. They keep changing the stock so you'll always be surprised.

We ordered an ice cream cake for our daughter’s second birthday. It was easily the best I’ve ever tasted. It went down extremely well, and the meringue topping was DIVINE. Thank you for bringing joy into our lives through your ice cream magic!

My partner and I got takeaway snacks from here the other day. He chose the chicken and leek pie which he said was good (but a bit too heavy on the mushroom and light on the chicken). I got a vegan sausage roll that tasted like it was made with nuts. It was very meat like (maybe thanks to fennel?) and overall had great flavour and richness. Keen to go back and try some sweet offerings.

I recently moved to Northcote and decided to try Icecream Social after smoking a large joint. THIS SHOP IS BONKERS!!! I ordered the Vegan Fudge Brownie, and my goodness, I've never experienced anything like it. Not sure what the last person was talking about; regardless of the serving, you're paying for quality and a high standard. My GF is vegan, and all their vegan selection is outstanding; they won me brownie points. Thank you for being you! I'll definitely recommend you to everyone :)

The best cheesecake and lamb pies. Don't be fooled from the exterior they look like a quiet store but have a bite of their food and you will be on cloud 9. My first visit and I am not disappointed

Probably the best ice-cream I've ever eaten to date. I'm very particular with ice-cream. I don't like those artificial colours. I like the real thing, hand made, with a few ingredients. I only eat raspberry, dark chocolate and coffee ice-cream. And Ice-cream Social Thornbury didn't disappoint. First of all, they had my 3 favourite flavours, which is good. The raspberry texture is light and airy like a chocolate mousse but it is a fruit sorbet. I even had a piece of raspberry stuck between my teeth all afternoon so they use real fruit. It was out of this world. Then the chocolate flavour was called chocolate brownie that day and given the beauty of their actual chocolate brownie, I trusted them and oh my... it was dark, rich, deep, complex, not overly milky or sweet. Perfection. I didn't get a 3rd flavour (because I can see you people judging me behind your screen) so the lovely lady at the counter offered to add a small spoon of coffee ice cream (spelt cawffee) so I could try it because you know, covid. It is made with Seven Seeds coffee. Splendid. I give it 5 stars altogether. I'll be back next week to try that chocolate brownie, and that basque. See you soon!

The Vegan Ice Cream Sanga from this place is a holy experience. I swear i ascend to another realm every time I order it. This review sounds sarcastic but I mean it 100% genuinely, it is the greatest vegan dessert i have tasted. Additionally, the staff are absolute sweeties, and every time I order online they write a heart on the bag, which makes me smile. An absolute fav of a place <3

Where do I start? I don't which is more delicious, the ice cream or the pies! I don't go anywhere since discovering Icecream Social. The pistachio ice cream is amazing, it tastes so much like real pistachios. The staff are so friendly and give great recommendations, they are obviously working through tough times yet always have a smile on their face. There are two lovely sisters in the staff that always brighten our day. I can never go past the pumpkin pie or choc pecan pie! Thank you Icecream Social!

Seriously,this place brings a sense of nostalgia to you and a little bit of home for some or I reckon, most(read: cherry pie, pumpkin pie, key lime pie 🇺🇸) The ice creams, good lord! You're gonna regret not tasting every single flavour because they are fresh, authentic, home made(like the pies) - I strongly suggest you try the chocolate brownie. This is the place that's gonna keep your heart and tummy warm(the irony of it, I know...) definitely not gonna regret a trip here.🦸🍦⭐

What a fabulous treasure we have in Thornbury, they never fail to satisfy! I love the ever changing ice cream selection, so far my favorite has been the chili chai ice cream. Soooo good!!! Also love their brownies and pies. The service here never disappoints either. Love your work guys!

Thank you so much for the delicious ricotta and choc orange ice cream. You could have just filled the 1L pot halfway, but instead you gave up a full L for the price of 1/2L and have forever won my heart. I did think the chocolate was orange flavoured though, like terry's chocolate orange type thing, but it was still lovely and smooth.

You should try this place. Their Ice cream is very delicious and they also have a lot of other delicious desserts, cakes, etc. There are a few seats inside and outside to dine in as well. Highly recommended!!!

I didn't think you could get addicted to icecream in the middle of winter. But you can! Icecream social has fantastic icecream (best in the area) with gluten and dairy free options. It has great flavours that change often - think apple crumble, cheesecake, rosemary creme brule. To top it off it is run by lovely and welcoming humans. Highly recommend.
