The vegan peanut butter special flavor is amazing. Two friends and I all loved it. Hope it becomes a regular flavor. The chocolate non dairy is also very good

Wooooow!!! Probably the tastiest ice cream I’ve had in Australia. Suuch yummy flavours I’ve had pistachio and salted macadamia. Also loved the orange infused ricotta and Dutch chocolate. Love that it’s all sustainably sourced and lovely staff. Definitely will be back lots this summer

Wow, wow, wow, I love it! So happen to stumble upon this place, after finishing dinner 2 minutes away. The service was great, friendly be genuine. The ice cream was amazing, so thick and creamy, the two scoops didn’t feel like enough. I like the fact that they don’t use preservatives, and mainly of their ingredients is sourced locally, that message is especially important in times like these. Standout flavours were the Dutch chocolate, coffee and fior di latte. I can’t wait to go back for me ice cream.

Delicious gelati, not too sweet. The service wasn't friendly though. I went on 28/11 around 3pm, my friend said Hi to the woman behind the counter who didn't acknowledge her. She then looked miserable while preparing our orders. If you don't enjoy your job, don't make it an unenjoyable experience for your customers too! RESPONSE: thanks for your reply but I'm not keen on seeing her miserable, unfriendly face again anytime soon! And the scoop she gave us was tiny for $5.90! I'm sure you're a nice person, she's not a good representative for your business.

Great atmosphere and seating! Fantastic vegan chocolate paired with blackberry sorbet!

I came here with a friend after shopping. This place feels very traditional - a great selection of classic and innovative flavours. Free nuts and chocolate drizzle which improves the value proposition. I love that they have vegan friendly options - which are on par flavour wise with their dairy based equivalents. Friendly service, cosy intimate interior. The gelato scene is highly competitive at the moment, but this one deserves to stay.

Yum! The gelato and flavours were different to the usual ones you see and also the idea of brioche and sponge layers. You could also get up to 3 flavours. The staff were also so friendly and there was free nuts and sauce.

Fabulous vegan & normal gelato, the best I've had for years. The chocolate, hazelnut and the blood berry were sensational. Andy the owner has superb customer service skills, he really wants to make sure you satisfy your taste buds and walk away happy. Love this place! I go here almost every week to get my vegan over cream fix. Best vegan ice cream in town. It actually tastes like the flavour it states and not the soy /coconut base it's made from. They recently added coffee salted caramel to their vegan flavours and it is amazing!

Nice gelato (I got cinnamon) but SO expensive at $6.50 for a single scoop! Not sure how this can be justified when to the customer it’s really the same quality as most gelato places in Melbourne and in my experience, they all charge $5 a scoop or less.

Amazing gelati, hand made on site, you know it's legit when it's stored out of sight in the metal tubs. You also know it's legit when the pistachio tastes like real pistachio. Loved the orange ricotta flavour too. And the coffee flavour tasted like actual good coffee! Double points for stuffing a cannoli with gelati, yum, winner.

Oh. My. God. The chocolate and orange is absolutely one of the best citrus infused gelato I have ever had! I’ll definitely be coming back to try some of the other flavors! Unfortunately they were sold out of a couple on Saturday night which was disappointing but I’m prepared to forgive provided they never run out of chocolate and orange! Yum! 🍫 🍊 🍨

Great place for vegan (and non-vegan) gelato! There's a lot of heart and soul in the food here, and their customer service is always tops. Marco is always experimenting with exciting new flavours, and I can't wait to try their turmeric and matcha gelato next time I'm here :) Thanks for bringing us so much joy – keep up the great work!

Stumbled across this place on the way to Gelato Messina and decided to try it out. Such a pleasant surprise! Loved the service - very patient, didn't feel rushed with tasters. Seems authentic Sicilian (my only reference point being the Chef's Table episode on Sicilian pastries and gelato) serving gelato in brioche buns or in cannelloni etc. I had the chocolate rosemary and pistachio. I would say it's refreshing and light in flavour compared to Messina and Pidapipo. Was a little jealous of those who ordered it in the brioche bun... Owned by the same people as Il Melograno in Northcote

I have been to Compa at least five times, and am constantly overwhelmed by the level of consistency and quality in both the gelato and the kind service. The vegan hazelnut gelato is among the best ice-cream that I have tasted in a over a decade. Compa's gelato always leaves me feeling happy!

Very nice gelati. Pistachio was great, as was the spiced nectarine special. Natural ingredients. Offers several Sicilian specialties (e.g. the breakfast of brioche with granita and espresso) and cannoli with gelati, so in an area with many excellent gelateria they're definitely worth a visit to try something different.

Great little place along Brunswick street near Vegie Bar. Went here for Vegan day out and was not that busy. Prices are a little expensive however the flavours of the icreams/sorbet or granita cannot be missed. They offer vegan options, where the photo shows the hazelnut option.
