✨MUST TRY HONEYDEW BINGSU✨
The Melon and mango cheese bingsu has such strong flavours and melts right in your mouth 🍨
And how can mango 🥭 and cheese 🧀 taste so well together?!
We also tried the injeolmi toast that has roasted soy bean powder and that was super yummy too especially topped with some ice cream 😋
Follow me on IG @eatwithmishy for more food reviews and adventures 😉

This is my favourite place to get Korean bingsu (shaved ice)!
Unlike another famous bingsu place in the CBD which has a long queue, the queue for this shop is not bad.
The bingsu has a taste in every bite even when you eat the ice only. The portion is quite generous too.
If you like bingsu, you should give this place a try.
L. Y. X.
the ice flake taste so fluffy and flavourful!!
make sure you get the Ice Kacang, it’s traditional Malaysian flavour, better ice quality. it’s not overly sweetened.
we also ordered the peanuts flake w mochi, taste so good and refreshing!!
S.
Go here! Best bingsoo in Melbourne! Full of flavour. So far had Watermelon, Strawberry, Ice Kacang and Matcha.
Perfect portion size. Bingsoo is nice and milky without being too milky. Toppings are perfectly matched. Flavours are strong without overpowering each other and never too sweet. 👌
Most other places can't compare.
D. N.
Standard shaved ice, nice variety of different toppings
M.
A pop up selling Korean bingsu (milk based shaved ice dessert).
We tried the injeolmi (roasted soy bean dust) with homemade mochi and the seasonal flavor of the day, which happens to be ice kacang (Malaysian style shaved ice topping)
The base of any bingsu, the milk-based ice, is extremely fine and fluffy here - very nice. The injeolmi (roasted soy bean dust) has a malty taste, and can be a little dry on the throat. The ice kacang flavour is there with crème corn, peanuts, palm seeds, grass jelly, red syrup, carnation milk, brown sugar, but for me, a little on the expensive side at $18.50.
Service is friendly and prompt.

The signature injeolmi and watermelon lychee rose were delicious! Unique flavours and great shaved ice. The best Bingus I have tried in the Melbourne CBD in a long while. It is difficult to find parking around the area but certainly worth a visit!
L. 6.
love the bingsu here so soft like snow and toppings of fresh fruits which kids just love it. Definitely a go to place for a quick dessert fix regardless of hot or cold weather.

#BMAfavourites || If you’re looking for authentic Korean bingsu in Melbourne @sulhwa_australia has changed the game !
This takes me back to Korea, where traditionally bingsu has a soft milky shaved ice texture with subtle flavour that doesn’t overdo the sweetness - perfectly balanced!
The honey dew flavour was a definitely a winner - flavours so beautiful and subtle and melt in your mouth, alongside their classic injeolmi (soybean) toast! Perfectly toasted bread, generously dusted with soy bean powder and almond flakes for texture, stuffed with chewy rice cakes and served with condensed milk poured over 🤤🤤🤤!!
Definitely worth a visit and will be my summer dessert hot spot!

This cafe is very homely with a kitchen style layout. The place is quite small and dim.
We ordered the honey dew melon which is limited in stock. Melon balls are topped on the bingsu with the most delicate melon bingsu shavings. The icecream pairs well for a more sweet taste.
The injeolmi toast is filled with the softest rice cake and topped with bean powder, rice syrup, condensed milk and almond flakes. The injeolmi icecream is placed on top. The flavour is savoury but also sweet with the icecream.
A great place for Korean dessert and the owners are so friendly.

Bingsu – the quintessential summery treat, or if you don’t mind the numbing cold, then just as invigorating during winter too. I visited with a few friends and we ordered 4 different flavours bingsu to share amongst ourselves. Super fine shaved ice mixed with condensed milk that melt-in-your-mouth, it was hard to choose a favourite as each excel in their own way.
The Classic Korean Injeolmi was without a doubt, a classic. The earthy and nutty flavour of the injeolmi (soybean powder) complemented the sweetness of the red bean, as was the case with the fusion between the pumpkin cream cheese with the red beans in the Honey Pumpkin bingsu. The Honey Melon was beautifully presented in a honey dew cut into half, and filled to the brim with shaved ice and melon balls. Lastly the Mixed Cheese Berries is one for those with a sweeter tooth, as the berry coulis made this the most indulgent out of the 4 that we tried, but the tanginess of the cream cheese definitely helped balanced out the richness.
We also tried the Injeolmi Toast, and this was by far one of the best I have had in Melbourne. Perfectly toasted white bread, generously dusted with soybean powder, drizzled with condensed milk, with a smattering of almond flakes for crunchy texture, and stuffed with chewy rice cake. If you haven’t tried this before, you are definitely missing out.
A cosy place with adequate amount of seating, but don’t worry if you can’t grab a table as they do takeaway too. Just make sure you consume them before they melt!
이.
Ordered 2 bingsu and one toast.
Mango one was very average but I loved melon one.
Service was good, place is tiny, tables were a bit too uncomfortable for me and my boyfriend.
A. H.
Best best besttttt place for bingsu! I think it’s gonna be my fav place from now on. Although we waited for like 35 mins and there was only two of time but quality and consistency is there. So refreshing! Watermelon and the melon one is a must to try! Finished it! Yumssss
Hopefully they have more helpers soon!
H. Y.
Sul Hwa Ice Flake Eatery has quite a variety for their menu. They serve this unique flavoured bingsu (similar to the Black Star Pastry watermelon cake)
- watermelon rose lychee bingsu. The texture of the bingsu is fluffy and smooth; the lychee and watermelon bits provide that freshness to the bowl; the rose-infused cream has a subtle taste that elevates the aroma of it; not to forget the pistachios that add the crunch to it. Nomsssss. Will definitely visit again to try their other flavours :)
R. O.
Great bingsu flavour combinations and friendly service. The texture of shaved ice is out of the world!
I had the Injeolmi & Melon at home which held up really well for hours after delivery. After restrictions lifted I dined in and tried their Mango Mac. So good!
Can’t wait to go back for more
M. K.
Accidentally came across this new place where you can have the famous Korean melon bingsu. It was absolutely delicious, reminiscing time when we were in Seoul. We ordered the melon bingsu and the pumpkin bingsu and highly recommend people to try it and support this small business.
C. T.
I love the flavours at Sulhwa, the ice is not too sweet. It is extremely light and refreshing, almost like eating sweet snow. I highly recommend the watermelon and ice kachang.
Y. E. B. C.
Tried out the Cheese Berry and Injeolmi Bingsoo - i was surprised that even the berry syrup and rice cake were all made in-house! Really reasonable prices as well. Would recommend👍👍
T. W.
The person behind all those ice flake definitely knows what is she doing, it was a lovely ice flake will be back soon
S. C. T.
Ordered the Melon Bingsu and was so good. Not too overly sweet and lots of melon pieces! Definitely coming back to try the others on the menu.
J. L.
Incredible service and delicious shaved ice. The employees here are so lovely and accommodating- they deserve a pay rise! The melon milk is highly recommended ❤️ Awesome how much melon there is and the shaved ice is so so soft! The almond flakes also give it extra crisp. Definitely lived up to the hype and will definitely come again soon. Thank you sulhwa!!!! :)

There is definitely room for improvement for what seems to be a pop-up style dessert store in what was originally a Vietnamese restaurant. Service was very friendly by both the FOH and the chef and bingsus were also on point.
However, it would definitely be beneficial for them to improve overall customer experience by hiring an extra staff if it meant customers get served faster, tables don't feel as sticky and be sanitised/cleaned more often as one front staff would only have time to prioritise one table at a time and other tables will just have to be patient.
Overall, looking forward to seeing where they will expand to next!
T.
The injeolmi toast was a nice combination of warm and cold, savoury and sweet. It had rice cake in between the two pieces of toast, with some syrup and condensed milk over it and injeolmi ice cream on top. It was definitely unique and delicious but it was a bit on the sweet side, not exactly something I would order again unless I'm craving something sweet.
The watermelon shaved ice is a seasonal one. It had rose and lychee flavors in it too, but I didn't like it the combination of flavors and it tasted quite odd. The portion size is good though, small enough so it's not too much but big enough for a few to share. I think if we had ordered a different flavor it might have been better.
The service was pretty slow because there were about 6 other customers at the time but only two workers between taking orders and preparing the food. Would have been be better if they had more workers so that service could be quicker.
The environment wasn't amazing, compared to a place like Sulbing, because it was quite hidden away and dim. I might come back again if I'm craving the injeolmi toast, but would probably go somewhere else to eat shaved ice.
C. T.
Delicious Korean-Like Bingsu Ice-Cream held in a little Vietnamese cafe 😍😋 I think the business rents out the commericial kitchen in the evenings judging from their venue's surroundings for their start-up. Appreciate the healthy aspect of the natural flavors using fresh fruit embodied into the milky snow-ice (which taste like Condense Milk), not filled with artificial colouring or high-sugar flavors.
Its a very young University Crowd in their 20s hangout place so you will get a line in the late evenings. Not sure if it's suited to young families/Kids as there isn't alot of space for prams or large groups but definately nice to check out if your on a date after dinner or a get together with friends.
Y. Q.
The Signature Injeolmi was good, and they were very nice. I needed to use the bathroom and they gave me the spatula key. They don't take card, so bring cash, or don't pay.
W. W.
Very good price for the bingsu, equally Instagram-able compare to other places.
M. A.
Omg it was amazing. The food was delicious, the atmosphere and customer service was one of the best I've ever seen. Would definitely go again.
Y. J.
The best dessert for Summer! Fabulous presentation and great taste! We really enjoyed.
J. A. L.
Let me tell you about the Injeolmi toast I experienced here. I’ve never been a fan of it until now. The subtitle aroma of roasted mung bean coupled with the fresh melting mochi in the middle of the toast, topped with house made Injeolmi ice cream, I am sold. Imagine a nutty, sweet and savoury dessert pizza and you have a pretty good picture. Finish your night with the mango bingsu with honeyed macadamia cream cheese, or if you’re feeling elegant, try the watermelon bingsu with rose water cream! You won’t be disappointed.
B.
I came here only because my girlfriend wanted to. I expected it to be amazing but it turned out to be finely shaved ice with ice cream from Coles (seriously, no joke) served with fresh fruit in small to medium sized bowls but they called it regular and large. The taste was very average. Nothing special at all. The service was quick and friendly. The menu size is tiny but suitable for the size of the place. I wouldn't come here again simply because there are places in the city that has bigger portions for a cheaper price.
L. E.
Just found another bingsu place in Melbourne. Honestly, I had high expectation for this place and turned out it wasn’t as good as I thought. Nevertheless, the portion was generous and worth the price. I will give this place 5 star only for the customer service as the two guys who served my friend and I were very friendly. Overall, good experience but still expecting more in terms of flavour.
b.
Serving sizes are decent and toppings taste nice
R. T.
I love sulhwa since they started back in late 2019 by my lovely friends Jack and TaeBin. The softest ice milk base I’ve ever had and now all their incredible toppings are all home made. Fruits are handpicked and cut to order by the owner which is my lovely cousin Erin. This review might be biased but you’ll regret if you don’t give this place a go!
J. L.
We've been to many korean bingsu places in melbourne, yet this is a place that we really enjoy! BEST bingsu in melbourne!! We ordered the watermelon bingsu and that was very refreshing and delicious! The highlight of our meal was definitely the INJEOLMI toast!! Friendly and amazing staff, quick service too! Highly recommend this place!
K. L.
Fine and creamy bingsu that will definitely satisfy your shaved ice cravings. Located at Banoi, it's the new home to Sulhwa Melbourne that was originally located at little collins.
Strawberry Watermelon Lychee - Well balanced and refreshing. Hand picked organic watermelons so they would fit into the house bowls. Light touch of rosewater so it doesn't overpower everything else and finished with pistachio crumbs.
Injeolmi Redbean - Using a home-roasted soy bean powder, it has much more depth in flavours compared to any other korean bingsu places out there that does this classic flavour. Mochi was generous, soft and chewy.
Chocolate Brownie - can't go wrong with Chocolate and some peanuts.
Melon - Doesn't need condensed milk to go with it because the melon was quite sweet itself. I'd say this is a tough choice between watermelon and melon. Got to try it yourself!
K. B.
Absolutely delicious. Service was great and not a long wait for our Bingsu :)
M. C.
Favourite shaved ice shop in Melbourne. Best watermelon lychee shaved ice ‘!!!
S. S.
My boyfriend and I tried the strawberry and melon bing-su. Both were really nice but I highly recommend the melon one. That was the sweetest melon I’ve ever tried in my life. Seriously delicious!

S. J.
(Translated) I thought it was ok, but not the cafe brothers. I don't have to buy bingsu.
Brothers just don't have much toppings. The shaved ice itself was frozen as it was frozen, but it felt good.

(Translated) Mixed cheese berries large size three are enough! It's so delicious with cotton candy! Of course, other menus will be delicious as well.

I think it's easy to pick up! 🙃🙃
I want to go often

한국 빙수 먹고싶었는데 진짜 맛있어요 ㅠ3ㅠ
