Here we go. I was torn for options when at Scarborough beach one evening, to head to classic steady Cold Rock or try out the newer gelato place. I started here at Dumbo and had a few taste tests, I’m not a huge sweets fan so I like my ice cream/gelato to be a certain stage of flavour with the sweetness to warrant the sugar intake. There is flavour for real at Dumbo, though I would say not the flavours you’ve past tasted or images for the titles of the gelato. I then wasn’t impressed enough to order so I walked to Cold Rock but they weren’t doing taste tests because of Covid so I wandered back to Dumbo and kept tasting. I decided on Mint Choc. And the harmony of the string mint won me over. I had it on a cone which is how I like my creamy iced desserts, and it’s was perfectly crunchy and a good contrast to the gentle smooth mint. I would say this place is incredible and they have many options, of gelato and sorbet. My friends all had separate flavours and were all quite impressed. The lovely lady serving us was accomodating and generous. I shall return. Thanks Dumbo!!!!

I had the mint chocolate which was pretty good. Apparently their pistachio is really good. Would like to try their other flavours next time. Came back & it's even better in a cone! Had the chocolate peanut butter & the hazelnut this time. And again we were happy with our choices. This is definite our go to when in the area. Can't wait to try more flavours. The staff are really friendly. Service was great.

My 7-year-old daughter says "I'm thinking 5 stars: 4 stars for tastiness and 1 star for kindness." So there we have it. It's pretty delicious ice cream, and staff were good eggs.

The manager or owner I think ? Who served me while training a new staff , which is not a problem but he gave me a ridiculously small portion. And so focus on explaining the “scooping skills”instead customer service. The first photo is my three scoop for $10.5 Yeah three scoops three flavors and double the price but same amount as one. Ice cream was tasty , love the vegimite one. But Milk Barrel in Hillary’s still on my Perth’s best gelato list.

The best gelato I have had in Perth and outside of Italy! The shop is beautiful and a perfect spot to enjoy a scoop on the foreshore. The menu has your classics like Pistachio and some more interesting flavors which are all made fresh in the shop each day, which was great to watch while we sat down in the shop to enjoy our gelato! Highly recommend!

Lovely Gelato. Nice coffee, friendly efficient service. We sat on the cute little table on the side, listening to the music, eating our treats, drinking our coffee and watching the people coming and going. Great fun.

Been regularly visiting this place since opening. The team at Dumbo is great particularly Stevie, who is a star with her exceptional customer service skills. I overall like their service and they are prompt with getting the orders ready. They have great and unique flavours to choose from and the ice cream is fresh and on point with the sweetness. I'll definitely be updating my rating to 5 star if the team is consistent with the flavours as many flavours are not always available. It would be awesome if you could introduce a sugerfree flavour as well. Keep spreading love, happiness and wonderful flavours Dumbo. You folks are wonderful ❤️

It's a lovely spot for an ice cream shop, single scoop is $6.5, even though price board says $5.5. Perhaps it was a hot weather surcharge. Sorbet was delicious

Best gelato in Perth hands down. Salted caramel with vegemite was a game changer. Cool decor as well. I see a lot of fake reviews on here (likely from competitors, only done 3 reviews max). You can confidently ignore them. You will not be disappointed!

Tried the dark chocolate flavor and I have to say it was disappointing. It was too sweet and not really cacao rich as you would expect. Some competitors do it better.
