Was really excited to check this place out after reading all these positive reviews. I tried their gelato burger with the brioche but was unfortunately disappointed. It was still delicious but didn’t live up to the hype.

A cute little italian Cafe to sit and have a quiet coffee in the morning sun. Away from the main, busier areas of Great North Road, Cremeria Giuseppina really brings Italy home. Extremely friendly staff who make superb coffee and mouth watering pastries And gelato is what makes this Cafe stand out from the rest. The desert there is amazing! The gelato was very flavoursome and tastes fresh. The Brioche bun with gelato took the gelato to a higher level. I had it with the cream was well which is a mandatory addition I think. The donut filled with custard was amazing, it was unlike any other donut I had. Highly recommend this joint.

The staff are friendly and helpful. Hot chocolate this will change how you think when it comes to hot chocolate. This hot choc is served with panna (cream) on top. this is a italian thick hot chocolate. It had great consistency just like pudding and texture it definitely hits the spot for my sweet tooth. For the gelato burger. Traditional Sicilian sweet bun filled with panna, nutella 2 scoops of ice cream, broken cannoli and strawberry. This was delicious the combination of the chosen ice creams and recommended toppings balanced well together not too sweet.

This coffee shop has special interior design and also in the strategic location right after the bus stop. You can also park your car nearby which is public car park available.

Amazing and authentic Italian Gelato bar with great history and rustic decor. Worth the visit as they have an interesting selection of flavours. All the gelato is made in house and by hand. The shop has been part of the local history and landscape for a while. Also the cannoli is freshly made!

This is a temporary review, I’ll give another go, when I’ll be able to spend more than 30minutes, and don’t feel like I’m in a rush. I didn’t like that much the way they served the gelato, it’s not a cup, it’s a Korean plate for sauces, which is pretty weird in a southern-italian style gelateria.

Very sweet, Rose flavour was very artificial. Italian hot choc was nice. We went late night, so the brioche was dry. Would probably be better in the morning (hopefully fresh) Server dropped my gelato burger on the table, then picked it up with her hands and flipped it back onto the plate. I came here on a Saturday and was served by a young Asian girl. She was friendly and gave me good suggestions on what to eat. Due to the time that I came (~2pm), there weren’t too many people in, so the service was extremely quick and efficient. I got the gelato burger with the Italian custard flavour and the cream! I didn’t get the Nutella because I thought it would be too sweet! It was actually really nice - the brioche bun was really soft and lightly dusted with icing sugar, the gelato was smooth and sweet but not too sweet, and the cream was a good addition too! Would recommend :)

Great coffee at this place. I always stop by to grab a coffee whenever I can. The only thing I don’t like is that when they ask ‘paying by card?’, that would be $4.50 and then when I check the receipt I’m charged $4.57. I understand that it’s merchant fee or whatever and it’s not a big deal but they why can’t they inform the customer about the right price they are gonna charge. Transparency is the key. 7 cents is not a lot but it is definitely a question of integrity.

Authentic Sicilian - yum! - from cakes, gelati to decor and music. Am impressed with new management especially on tasting just-out-oven warm cherry almond biscotti. Herculean long hours which may inpact staff reactions at times but have been lovely on recent visits during quiet hours. There are so few cafes open early as well as after 3pm - this one till 10pm! - and run by a small team. Well worth a try and to support.

I have been coming to this place for years and its sad to say tonight disappointed me greatly. I had a nutella brioche which was stale and a scoop of gelato which was literally a mouthful. These guys are just amazing. The first time I went there was 7 years ago when I moved to Sydney and I've loved it ever since. It's The place to go if you want to taste the best sicilian granita and gelato in Sydney. Let's not forget to mention the arancini and the brioche that you can have with a granita or as a gelato burger.

The only downside it is expensive and the gelati servings are small, but well worth the price for good quality

Rivareno is bar none the best gelato I’ve had in Sydney. I’ve tried most of the gelato/ice cream places in the east, city and inner west and out of all the places I’ve tried, is by far my favourite and the only I’m most regular too. All their flavours are rich and creamy and taste exactly how they’re described. If you haven’t tried their signature cremino rivareno, you are missing out on something truely special and I urge to get out and try it. However, only negative is their coffee is extremely sub par and would highly recommend going to anywhere else, but they’re not known for the coffee and they do use this tiny little consumer grade coffee machine so can’t hate too hard.

Probably the best Italian gelato in Sydney. Not recommended for those who like sugary bright coloured icecream. This place makes authentic Italian gelato flavours always served at the right creamy consistency. In each flavour you can clearly taste the base ingredients in it which tells me fresh ingredients have been used in the making. Zabaione is my favourite, a flavour you can hardly find anywhere else in Sydney and certainly not made to De Luca's standard.

I have popped in before but this morning I ‘travelled ‘ to Sicily and tried the traditional granita and brioche breakfast. Not only charming and local esp. in the morning, but wow, what a delicious way to start a weekend. I am usually not a fan of cream but theirs is otherworldly. Gelato in rustic decor setting. Portion sizes are small. Despite being artisanal, they don't seem to have unique flavours or unusual experimental gelatos that would have piqued my interest. I think it's important to let customers see as well as taste the gelato they are going to buy. That's why shops use glass display cabinets. This is a small shop. I guess you would call it cozy.
