Our Second day back here. Talk about the perfect location. This gelato is unnnnnnnnbelievable. So many good staple flavors and on top of that some seasonal/specia flavors. Between our group tonight we did the: macadamia crunch, the hokey pokey, the milk chocolate with chocolate peanut fudge, the pannacotta fig jam, the coconut lychee, and the duke of Kent v2. All of the flavors were amazing. Creamy goodness. The cones were fresh and good too. No complaints. If you’re looking for a treat for any time of day, this is the place.

The ice-cream here is beyond reproach. The quality of every flavour and style is amazing. I've never had anything from Messina that wasn't absolute top notch! If you're unsure about getting a particular flavour, then you can ask the staff to try before you buy. They are happy to let you taste a few options. The only drawback regarding this store is that it can be very busy. The staff do their best, but sometimes you can be in for a bit of a wait. Its worth it though.

Tasty gelato, VERY limited seating and given the hot weather, you need to find shade to stay under or gelato will be melting at a good pace by the time you put the wallet away. Very friendly staff and the specials on the board are always worth checking out. You can sample as many flavours as you like given that there are just so many to choose from. Reasonably priced as a scoop will set you back $6 or so, cone or cup (I prefer the waffle cone). If you’re coming back from the beach or the ferry, it’s a super short walk from Circular Quay and probably one of the best ways to cap off a day in the summer.

Messina consistently has very delicious ice cream and gelato, and if you time it right there’s typically minimal wait at this Circular Quay store. They have a selection of flavours that are always there, but also cycle more daring, experimental flavours, so there’s always something exciting happening. It’d be nice for it to be a bit cheaper, but this is Sydney, it’s ice cream and it’s in Circular Quay, so it’s likely to stay the same (if not get more expensive). Staff are always polite too, serve you quickly and then move the line along.

Messina ice cream is the best! I tried a dozen different favours and they are all delicious. Particularly loved the salted coconut and mango salsa one. They also have specials. Portions are generous too. There can be a bit of a queue so you’ll need to be patient. Note: The map is currently incorrect. The store is located near Circular Quay in central Sydney.

The staff at the circular Messina were so thoughtful - my son accidentally ordered a dark chocolate milkshake and was disappointed at his mistake. The staff noticed his face from outside the restaurant and went to so much trouble to make another and insist on him choosing a flavour he loves. What incredible service and kindness. They made my sons day!

Gelato Messina is a must for delicious gelato. The variety of flavours is very good at this branch and great atmosphere. There is outdoor seating which is nice in the sun. Last time I visited, the seats were metal and it was a really hot day. So consider one of the street benches instead if you don't want to burn your backside.

Great service and simply delicious. The staff are extremely personable and are always juggling responsibilites to manage the crowd that always gathers around their store. Excellent ice cream, amazing service and mad tunes. I have a severe nut allergy so dessert is almost always off the menu. My friends went to Messina and I thought I'd give it a go with a very low nut risk ice cream so I went with rasberry. Upon telling the staff of my allergy they went above and beyond to make sure I could enjoy ice cream with my friends, something I usually can't do. They got spare spoons and took a scoop for me our of an unopened box to qvoide possible contamination and it was by far the best service I've ever got. Thanks Messina! I'll be back!

The best gelato/ice cream shop in Australia FULL STOP! I discovered Gelato Messina a couple of years ago and fell in love straightaway. And of course, I shared the love with my family :-) I love going to this store (Circular Quay) after a hard day’s work, and trying out the creative weekly special flavours. The changing special flavours encourage me to broaden my palate and be amazed by wacky flavour combinations that on paper should not work, but actually do! They also improve on fond childhood flavours such as Iced Vovo (Vovoroom) and Golden Gaytime (Have a Gay Old Time). The friendly staff are always happy to let you taste before you buy, and serve with a bright smile! And best of all, my wife who can only eat dairy-free food doesn’t get left out - Messina makes amazing sorbets! Hopefully Messina will one day make some dairy-free weekly special flavours to share even more love! Mi adoro Gelato Messina!

Love it that they create new flavours of ice cream every week! That's what I always look forward to discovering when I go to Gelato Messina. It's a regular place I go to whenever I crave for ice cream. Recently tried Mr Potato Head, which is peanut butter ice cream with white chocolate coated potato chips. Super intrigued by the flavour combination and the taste was quite interesting as well. But ultimately, my go-to flavour is always Pistachio and they do it so well at Gelato Messina. Yums!
