Always the BEST pizzas - topping choices are great, ingredients always super fresh and tasty. We love the live music Friday nights. Staff are friendly and attentive. Must visit this place - especially good for little ones with an enclosed playground or the chance to boogie to the live tunes.

amazing pizza! had the peperoni with extra peperoni, hands down the BEST peperoni pizza ive ever had. the dough puffy but not filling, so much cheese and the stringy too! 11/10 will go again. Cool vibe upstairs especially if you have tiny humans who like to run around in the play area.

A little suburban gem! We stumbled across this place for dinner. We went with our 2 year old and was pleasantly surprised there was an indoors playground, quality food, craft beers and live music! Something for everyone. We had the buffalo wings and Italiano pizza which were both devine. Live music outside which set the atmosphere beautifully. Thanks Funkateers! We will be back for sure!

I went to Funkateers for a job, but the food looked and smelt so amazing, I couldn't help but ordered a couple of pizzas to takeaway after. my. job. Unfortunately, I don't like locally to this amazing pizza store, or it would be my favourite pizza heaven. Not just a regular pizza store, they also have delicious tempting gelati, craft bears and wait for it... an indoor playground! How unexpected! The staff are so friendly and the place is very inviting. Tucked away amongst beautiful residential homes, it really is in such a beautiful setting, not amongst the hustle and bustle of traffic. Peaceful, beautiful surroundings. A nice place to come and support your local eatery. If you haven't tried this place, it is totally worth the drive to try it out. They have massive sized pizzas for the larger groups, or for those who just have.a massive appetite!

I really like this place. I have been twice now. Both times we ordered the buffalo wings. Once it came with blue cheese dipping sauce. Once not. Weird. The heat from the wings was just right, I think. Both times we ordered pizza and both times it was good. The wine was warm and not pleasant. Avoid. But the beer was excellent (we only had tap beer but they do have a lot of bottled beer). I cannot speak to the ice cream or dessert because sweet things are an abomination. Anyway, the highlight was probably the play area for children. It is large and caters well to small babies, toddlers, and older children. My daughter, who is almost one, loved it, though admittedly she mostly wanted to follow the big kids up to areas she Really Shouldn’t Go. Anyway, service is good, though the second time we were served by a very young woman who was clearly nervous, and let her nerves get the better of her. I am sympathetic, because we were all young once, and what seems so important and impactful then is hardly worth a nose scratching when older. And so like when I was sixteen I worked for a fast food company and my goodness I was constantly struggling with the words customers used and the tone and mannerisms they had. Not because they were doing anything devilish but because I saw awkwardness in all things, and wanted to be cool and calm when I was decidedly not. I had to chill. So yeah like 4 stars. Bit of screw tightening and it’d be 5 for sure.

My only worry with Funkateers is that it is too close to our house - could be dangerous! We've been working our way though the menu since Funkateers opened and have always been impressed with how flavoursome and fresh each pizza has been. Like anywhere, you need to find your favourite, but that's half the fun. It took me a couple of goes online to realise that the desserts are actually dessert pizzas - well worth a try also! Each time I come in to collect I've enjoyed the positive vibe from both he decor and the staff - looking forward to coming in and trying out upstairs dining with a beer or flurourescent-y milkshake

Update: I have been back, and the pizza was still very delicious. I tried the Caprese salad for $12 and was super disappointed. There was no basil as per the menu, quite a small amount of salad for the price and barely any tomato on top! We also didnt get given any napkins, i went up and ordered since we weren't given menus, and we had 1 set of cutlery between the 2 of us. Absolutely delicious pizza! The base was perfectly soft but crisp with plenty of toppings. All the staff were friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was lovely on the quiet corner street. Everything was reasonably priced, and the gelato was a great finish. Will recommend to friends, and will definitely be back.

Delicious pizza's served on beautiful wood boards! The gluten free base was also very nice, the staff were friendly and the beverage range is impressive. The vibe was ok, some parts I really loved like the graffiti wall and the disco vibes but the coloured plastic chairs make it seem a bit childish. Would be perfect for a kids party.

High 4, close 5 for me. Pizza had great presentation and tasted really good too. I like my pizza bases thin, so when this one came out the dough looked quite thick, but I surprised to enjoy it so much. It was crispy at the bottom but light and fluffy on top. We also had excellent service from the staff, and it’s one of the few places that do a real party size pizza these days. I’d definitely recommend them.

Tried this place for the first time. It's casual and easy going, but I feel that the dine in section is more suited towards families as they have a playground inside, unless of course you enjoy screaming children! The food was lovely, really nice pizzas and it is evident they use good quality ingredients. However I still feel the pizza is slightly overpriced. Customer service was mostly good, especially the young female waitress. The manager or owner (not sure what she was) seemed a bit annoyed as she plonked our pizza down on our table... maybe she was having a bad day or it slipped, not sure. The pizzas took a long time to arrive, it was really slow and we were getting hungry.. they weren't what I would consider overly busy as well. All up would consider coming back but for takeaway only.

Funkateers recently fed 50 of our family at friends for our children's birthday party (at home) and there were 50 happy, and full, humans at the end of the night. Jen was wonderful in providing options for how much pizza we would need to order and offered helpful suggestions so that I was confident we would have enough food. Honestly, the kids were happy- the adults were happy, and the pizzas were all delicious. Thank you for your excellent pizza and awesome customer service.

I live 40 minutes from this pizza joint. The pizzas are worth the 40 minute drive. Crust is good, toppings are plenty and the flavours between the different pizzas are actually distinct. I'll be coming back. However, this place needs to play 70, 80s Japanese Funk, then it will be worth at least an hour's drive.

Have been to Funkateers a couple to times, sometimes for drinks and nibbles and then also for dinner of their wood fired pizza. This place is great for a casual dinner and the food is delicious. Pizza and bases are awesome and they have a great range of beers (tap and bottle) and wines to chose from to compliment the great food. Service is fantastic and it is clearly a family run business with high standards all round. Would highly recommend.

Loved being able to enjoy a meal while our daughter was entertained in the playground. Pizza was amazing, though wouldn’t order the wings again. Only thing that really let down the experience was the amount of flies, it was really unpleasant having to constantly shoo them away and one even landed in our daughter’s milkshake which was upsetting for her.

My wife and I have been here twice now and each time the pizzas were absolutely delicious. If you've only ever tried pizzas from Dominoes, Pizza Capers etc. please try something from Funkateers as it's a bit different to what you might be used to, but in a very very good way. The only thing i could suggest which could have made our experience any better would be to pay slightly closer attention to the distribution and quantity of the topping ingredients. Personally, i like as even a distribution of the topping over the pizza and if greater care is taken this is easily achievable. I say this only to try to find something constructive to offer as we loved the pizzas the way they were! We sincerely hope you succeed at Ainsdale Street because we love knowing that we can find amazing pizza just around the corner! Peter and Courtney

This is my new favourite place for pizza on the North side, they have a fantastic range of pizzas, beers and wines all served by the friendliest people you're ever likely to meet. They have a children's play area out the back which doesn't disturb you when eat at the front and the gelato is amazing! Give it a go you won't be disappointed.

Reading the previous reviews I can not help but to think what happened to me may have been a one time occurrence, but one is enough (considering the cost of the pizzas) to stop me from ordering from Funkateers again. I ordered three different Pizzas in three different sizes and to my surprise they all were overly cooked and burnt on the sides and almost all of the toppings. I ended up dumping more than half of the toppings as it was unconsumable. Not recommended.

Enjoyed one of the best pizzas we've ever eaten here last night at Funkateers Pizzeria. This quaint little store in the back streets of Chermside West is holding a neighborhood gem. We had a large Supreme and a large bacon and egg and they were both delicious with a light crispy base and generous toppings to the edge. We drove from Banyo to try this pizza, craft beer on tap and gellato and was worth the trip. We'll be back!

The lady who served us was not friendly and provided us small serves of food, yet we notice she was friendly and provided larger serves to everyone else.
