Connies hits like no other. If I could offer any advice for life it’s this: get the don’t tell nonna and a 6 pack of high life. And settle in. It’s the stuff dreams are made of.

After messing up our original order, Connie’s totally owned their growing pains and were very quick to rectify the issue in a totally professional manner. I appreciate how they came through in the end and more importantly….how dam good the pizza was. If you want a classic square pie with some of the best pizza sauce I’ve had in Melbourne, can’t wait to eat there when lockdown ends

Melbourne’s take on the quintessential New York slice, huge, greasy, super hot and delicious.
Found it difficult to found as it is located inside The Heartbreak bar. You order at the bar counter and then pick up the pizza at the pizza kitchen counter/hole-in-the-wall which is further inside the bar.
Positive
+ Taste
+ Size
Better if
+ Less greasy
+ Lower price (you can get an entire pizza in Sweden for the same price)
+ The style of bar will not be too everyones’ liking

We had some pieces of pizza at the bar. After few days we ordered whole pizza on Uber Eats! I wanna eat more!!!!!

Heartbreaker hotel, and Connies Pizza. Nice place and nice music. A bit of a rock and roll bar. Has a pool table.

What a hidden gem! My boyfriend found this place because he loves New York style pizza, and let me tell you, this was such a drunk treat! It’s open late inside of the Heartbreaker Bar, which has such a vibe. You can find PBR tall boys which remind us of home (Canada).

Such a cool hidden pizza place inside a bar. We randomly were looking for pizza and found this place on Google maps and loved it. We almost gave up because we couldn't find it but reading the reviews on Google saw that it was actually inside the corner bar.
The pizzas are oily but really good. You order at the bar and get some custom guitar picks with the pizza flavour you ordered to pick it up at the back. It only takes 5 to 10 mins until you get your pizza which is great.
Overall a really cool experience, if I'm back in Melbourne, I'll return!

Delicious New York style pizza. An absolute comfort food. The cheese pizza is my fave. Even if it’s not hot anymore it still tasted ace. The pool table was a good way to fight the food coma after the pizza party.

This place is a life changer. Born and raised NYC, I hadn't had a real slice of pizza in years... until I stumbled upon the greatest thing to ever exist: a Brooklynesque pizzeria carved into the walls of an incredible bar, WHAT?? Yes, it's real.
It's like a wormhole to New York. If you're an expat, '4 Cheese' = 'White Slice'. Enjoy your new and improved life after eating.

Best pizza in town. Sauce is spot on, quality ingredients, crusty base and excellent crust. Would recommend anything on their menu! Tucked away inside Heartbreaker, a well worth it drive into the city to get Connie's.

Delivery was on time. Pizza was hot and delicious!

The Detroit style takeaway pizzas take up the entire box and are so deep and charred and chewy!

Nowhere for a better slice after midnight during the week. Pizza base had a nice bit of crunch to it and the Sicilian was a very welcome surprise for something a bit different. Generous portions, reasonable price, friendly staff and one heck of a slice.

Great pizza in the heart of Melbourne CBD! Nice to have the option of a slice or a full "pie". They have a great variety of toppings on offer, and the bases are nice and doughy without being too thick.

I'm originally from NYC and have moved to Melbourne and have been hunting for a decent NYC style pizza. My search is over. I don;t know how they did it but they are definitely making legit NYC style pizza.

Connie i love you please dont ever leave me, yourr the only one that makes the pizza. The real delicious, extra cheesy, adequately sauced, fold in half ALMOST like new york but not quite that big because honestly thats just TOO big. But youre not too big. Youre just right in every way. Youre full of magic and nostalgia and rock n roll. Please live on forever, you are needed here in straya where the pizza 9 outta 10 times is on a spongy substance with basically NO sauce. WHAT IS THE FEAR OF THE SAUCE PEOPLE. Come see Connies and let then show you the wayyyy.

Best New York style slice outside of the city! Excellent quality true 18" pies, served by the slice and pie. If Heartbreaker wasn't the best place to party in Melbourne already, it is now.

A hidden gem. Must try - mushroom pizza.

Love the pizza, wasn't expecting to find it inside a bar, though. It was a fun experience, nonetheless, and I would definitely go back for the pizza and the music.

Loved the pizza; they really are the best in Melbourne and very friendly bar staff; first time there, first of many no doubt.

This is proper! Willie Smith’s on tap, and a proper New York slice Sicilian pizza, like at weddings when I was a kid.

After a few days in Melbourne finally got some real pizza! Thank you for a moment of salvation.

Great slice of pie but rather pricy convenience is second to none though enjoy a cold pint whilst you wait for a delicious pizza

Love this spot. Tasty pizza and good beer at reasonable prices. Also it has a jukebox which is underrated.

Grunge pub with NY pizza. Not bad, not great.

Bit hard to find. Delicious! Enough sauce, almost too big. Would eat again.
