The pizza is very good, although the restaurant is small, it has a nice atmosphere both in the lights and in the background music. The staff were very kind and attentive.

The wood-fired pizzas and garlic foccacia are delicious but their table service even though friendly could be better. We had a dinner booking on a very hot day and was hoping to be seated indoors. Unfortunately, when we arrived, we were informed that we will be seating outdoors without any fans because the floors were being mopped. At the end of the meal, we also had to wait almost 10 minutes just to pay the bill because there were no staff at the counter. We did still enjoy our meals and would love to return for takeaways but perhaps not dining in at this stage.

Somewhat unassuming from the outside, we were blown away by how good our pizza was. Opted for the simple Margherita and Melanzane pizzas, they were just like what you would find in Italy. Can’t go wrong with $15 pizzas on Wednesday too!

One of the best experiences I have had at an Italian Restaurant. The pizza and the pasta we ordered were delicious! And probably some of the freshest and flavourful pasta I have had. I usually find cheese gnocchi quite sickening, but this gnocchi was very well balanced. Just from looking around, you can definitely tell that this family owned business puts in a lot of work to make sure every person is well catered to. The staff were also so friendly and accommodating and the overall ambiance is unmatched. I have never been to a restaurant, and felt so cozy and 'at home' while enjoying my meal. Do yourself a favour, and try this place! You won't be disappointed!

You will GNOCCHI be disappointed! Here on a Wednesday for $15 woodfired pizza! Regina Bianca my absolute favourite, pears on a pizza just works when it's made by these guys. Gnocchi were small servings, but absolutely delicious. Chilli oil and extra cheese also brought in without asking. Service was friendly and attentive, kudos to the chef who let me place one last order to go!

The people who work here are some of the nicest people in hospitality. They make the best fresh gnocchi you could imagine, and the seafood spaghetti is brilliant- one of our favourite Italian eateries with real Italian flavour, passion and care. Great to eat in but also the food travels well for take away. Overall fantastic value and great food and service all round. Will continue to keep coming back.

Fantastic little restaurant off Lygon. This place serves authentic Italian food which is pretty much the same as that you find in Italy. This place is leaps and bounds above anything else you find in the Lygon/Italian restaurant Precinct. We have never been able to find Italian food this authentic anywhere in Melbourne. The gnocchi we had was homemade and perfectly cooked. The pizza was floppy and the dough was amazing. I don't think I've ever eaten the crust of a pizza so quickly before! Highly recommended place to eat if you want truely authentic Italian food.

So delicious! Everything was on point. Lovely, warm service. The rocket salad was perfectly dressed and the pizza was a real stand out, normally I leave the crusts but the dough was so springy and fresh. Plenty of umami truffle flavour in the mushroom pappardelle too. The tiramisu was so light and finished things off to perfection! Our new favourite in Carlton

Lovely place!! It has such a nice cosy atmosphere. The food was super fresh and delicious, and they went above and beyond to put extra ingredients as their own offer. Run by a wonderful waiting team, I appreciate their patience and service so much, I can't put it into words. Definitely reccomend!

I usually only have the gnocchi here, simply because it is so very very good. Tonight, for a change, I tried their Calabrese pizza and spaghetti carbonara. Both were outstanding: the pizza had just the right amount of chilli zing, with a generous amount of rocket on top (which made me feel very virtuous for eating some greens); and the traditional carbonara (no cream) was rustic and comforting, and almost reminiscent of the Italian childhood that I unfortunately didn’t have.

It was only one of the few places open for the Easter break. Honestly, my wife and I didn't come here with large expectations until we had our food served. We ordered a pizza and gnocchi with a bottle of wine. It was just amazing. The Italian food that I have had was nothing compared to this place. Honestly, I am not sure if it's this restaurant alone or the standard of the Italian restaurants in proximity is high. I would definitely come back and recommend to anyone who wish to eat Italian in this neighbourhood. Italian food by real Italians. To us, it meant a lot.

Loved this place for a casual dinner with friends. The staff were friendly and attentive, great drink options, and food was nice. The only negative was the rice dish that was served in a fry pan. It tasted okay but it was odd eating out of a kitchen grade non-stick frypan and would have preferred a normal plate.

Outside was freezing and rainy, perfect weather for some übereats 😂 Gemma stood out and ticked the boxes for what I was looking for: authentic, reasonably priced and tasty pizza 🍕. Luckily, Gemma didn't let me down, actually quite the opposite, she converted me😀. Also, I would like to mention how fast it was to hit my door. Only small negative, the pizza was on the coldish side, perhaps the uber driver didn't have one of those keep warm bags - Must

Hosted a birthday party in the back section of the restaurant and they went above and beyond to make the night wonderful. Gemma is a gem! I love the vibe of Lygon Street but the best places are either over-crowded or over-priced. Gemma's is just off Lygon Street so it's a bit of a secret, which means it's not crowded in spite of its yummy food and reasonable prices. The platters for two are especially good value.
