A beautiful big bar, and the bar staff offer good old fashioned service - oh snd the music was just great! Have walked past Network Bar a bajillion times, and today we stopped by. The 2 bar staff announced it was happy hour, and kindly ran through the offerings. I can’t wait to return, we’ll definitely stay for a meal next time.

A surprise at Southern Cross Station. You don’t expect to find a full pub type bar at a train station however Network ticks all the boxes. Indoor and outdoor seating although all is under the roof of the station. A good selection of pub fair and plenty of pizzas. TV screens to watch sport all day. Worth a try if it’s to meet friends for a quick bite.

Fantastic place for a meal. This has fast turned into my go-to place for lunch due to terrific value-for-money for a huge range of pub food choices. When it comes to Chicken Parmi's in Melbourne, this place knocks the socks off all the rest. Serving sizes are massive and feature crunchy golden chips, fresh salad, and a huge crispy schnitzel smothered in silky napoletana sauce and melted cheese. Piping hot every time. I've enjoyed many meals here before traveling and have never been disappointed.

Also they have lunch specials which are great if you work nearby. The team are friendly and it's a convenient location when waiting for another delayed train.

There are also some very good lunch specials. Great pizza's, plus very nice Pub style food options. Lots of sport to watch too! Been coming here for a while. Got to say the manager Amy is great, exceptional customer service. Knows every customer and there orders, something you rarely see in the hospitality trade these days. Someone who cares about their job!! The rest of the crew are great as well!!

Excellent location right within the Southern Cross Interchange/Station complex. This place is very good for an relatively inexpensive meal, drinks, or snacks. The food we ordered was for excellent. The staff is helpful and kind. The bar offers a good selection of drinks. The place is not usually crowded and is perfect as a meeting point.

The place is divided into 2 zones: one is like a beer garden with overhead heaters, well lit with natural light with a view of the traffic & pedestrians on Spencer St. The other zone (inside) has the bar, tables & kitchen. What a respite in a busy station. Not beautiful or trendy but practical, clean & functional with lovely friendly staff & a great location when the train is delayed. Dropped in here to watch the Rugby World Cup Final. It's a well located bar and restaurant in Southern Cross Station. It particularly caters to sports fans with its proximity to Marvel Stadium. Lots of screens covering various sporting events in Australia and around the world. Food and drinks are fine and prices not unreasonable given its city centre location.

This is what some people might call a 'bogan bar'. But I love it. Cheap beers/wine during happy hour and the food is fairly affordable. VERY generous onion rings servings. My friend can't walk well so we frequent this place often as Network is the closest put in Southern Cross. Friendly staff too :)

Inside Southern Cross station so it's good for a drink or food before or after catching a train or Skybus. Nice public bar, good food especially pizzas. Not too expensive and has food+drink deals every week night. Can watch live sports on multiple TVs inside. Not a place for those expecting a quiet place

Just got off a Tigerair flight where all they give you is a glass of water, well almost. But we were hungry. The Chicken wings were deliciously sweet. The Club sandwich was large and full of chicken, bacon and tomato. Yum. The French fries were crisp and were devoured right to the bottom. And the beers? Cold and thirst slaving. We hit this place often even if we don't travel as it's a good pub!

Over the years I have spent so much time in the Network Bar, waiting for trains. Sometimes I need to eat, sometimes I just have coffee and read the paper. There are charging points for phones and ipads, The venue is warm, clean, comfortable, has toilets, is convivial, the staff is very pleasant, and they have never thrown me out because I don't drink enough !! 😁

Being coeliac I wasn't expecting much as far as price goes but when my break came out I was pleasantly surprised at amount of food on my plate. The taste was amazing and the creamy sauce and bacon wasn't skimped on. Would've been one of my favorite eats during my trip to Melbourne. The next day I had the leftovers for dinner and it still held together nicely.

No matter what sort of day I’ve had, I can always be certain that I’ll be greeted by a happy face and all staff make every effort to remember the names of regulars. From bar service through to dining, the experience is impeccable. The two owners and staff, when able to, mingle with patrons making them feel like more than just a number. There’s a small group of people who hang out at the ‘Nettie’ during the week, so if you’re looking for a chat, someone’s going to spark a conversation. As a Vegetarian, all staff (bar and kitchen) go out of their way to make sure the culinary experience is exemplary.
