The best eggplant parmigiana i ever had!! Really… this is next level! The pizza is delicious! Feels like I am in Italy. I just read some bad reviews here but none if them match my experience. I am also a chef and a nutritionist and so picky with my food! I absolutely love your food!!

After ordering almost every week since we moved to Coogee, I have to say that it is most likely the best pizza I’ve ever tried in the East. I’ve never seen staff members working with such quick pace. It was extremely busy yet we received our pizza within a very reasonable time. Bassam the cashier is one hell of an entertainer, certainly makes the experience a enjoyable one. A must try if your in Coogee !! Keep up the good vibes guys Johnnys 🤙🏽

It's been a hot minute since I've found a pizza that hit the mark so thoroughly. Cooked to perfection, soft but chewy base and crust, generous without overdoing the toppics. Well balanced selections. We has the Hesh and 'Three Wise Men', and we both agreed Three Wise Men was top tier. I nearly ordered a second one right then and there. We also had a thoroughly decadent dessert which was some kind of mars bar cheesecake concoction. I'm not sure exactly what it was but I ate every last crumb. The staff was friendly, the pickup was quick and effortless. Glad to have found a new regular local after a number of underwhelming contenders in the area.

Local trying new store. Ordered via Johnny's website, clean and easy. After payment, estimated time was 1 hour. Unfortunate but understandable on a Friday evening. On my way to pick up and call ahead to confirm, and I'm told it'll be an additional 20-30min wait to the original one hour. Now my other food for friends is getting cold and was told I can't cancel/refund the order. Staff were warm, friendly and the team had us back for complimentary pizza at no charge - team is working hard and valuable addition to the area

The pizza was delicious, true Italian pizza! The wait was very little, I used their App to order and pizza was ready when I went to pick up. Staff were super friendly. We needed a place like this in Coogee!

Gluten free pizza base is insanely good! Truffle butter is a personal fave! Waited only 10min on a Friday night and pizza was done! So fast and sooo tasty

Every time I try to order off Uber Eats they cancel my order. This has happened 3 times now! The pizzas and pastas are nice, but it’s frustrating that I basically can’t order.

**update 12 September - contacted by the business, see below, with a detailed explanation of what is wrong. I really appreciate a company that listens to feedback and tries to address it. Growing pains will be addressed, so will try again on a Friday night to put it to the test. Johnny, I'd love to take you up on that offer to get the pizza experience a mate raved about; I'll be in touch. Fingers crossed** What a shambles. Friday night the 10th of September, Johnny Gio's of Coogee had a complete ordering meltdown. Orders that should have taken 45 minutes ended up taking about double that. I had placed an order on their website (through eatsapp.com.au) and wasn't given a time for pizza ready. It was only after I paid that the time appeared in the invoice. 55 minutes. Okay, not so bad. 7:15pm I drove to the Coogee Gio's and upon approaching saw a massive queue banked up outside on Coogee Bay road. When I approached the place, the shop was full of people complaining. Some people had been waiting 90 minutes. Staff couldn't cancel orders in the shop, order dockets were backed up and staff were struggling to cope. I finally received my order at 8:15pm (over 110minutes). When I got home, the order was shocking.. everything clumped in one are on the pizza, burnt on the edges. Some people deserted their orders altogether The manager on duty was rude, didn't address the issue to calm the crowds and a simple tactic would have been to start processing refunds so that people could shop elsewhere. Order dockets were everywhere. It was absolute chaos. I've never seen anything like it. I called Bondi to see if they could help and I got lip service. I'll never ever eat here again (do yourself a favor and support other businesses who get it right) and will do my best to get a refund back for our waste of time.

It was my first time ordering from JG's, Ben and his staff were amazing! I ordered in-store for a later pick up time but unfortunately was running late and had to pick up during their peak time but they were so lovely about it. They're doing pre-orders, takeaways, walk ins and are sooo busy yet they still managed to go above and beyond to make my lockdown birthday that much better. Thank you :)

Super impressed with Johnny Gio’s. We had a bad experience but they asked us to come back and we’re glad we did. The pizza is brilliant, the staff were really nice and it’s a great addition to Coogee.

Will have to say the parmigiana wins as an amazing LOW CARB - KETO option, great taste without compromise! A lot of places do just very traditional Italian pizzas and flavours... or very westernised style. Hands down the *best of both worlds* I've had. It's a balance that's difficult to get right! Favourite: El-diablo was crust, cheesy and had a good kick with a bit of Chili oil.

I waited an hour and a half for three pizzas, the wait was worth it, the pizzas were great, we're in a pandemic and people are complaining about waiting for food when they have nothing else to do in the first place, first world problems.
