My daughter and I visited Detroit Pizza at Newtown on our way home from an event tonight. We ordered the Philly cheese steak and mozzarella sticks. Both were absolutely delicious. I am a pizza LOVER ... I make my own at home and am a harsh critic. This pizza blew both my daughter and I away. So light, non greasy, super fresh and really flavoursome. The mozzarella sticks too were so full of flavour yet didn't feel greasy either. So yummy!! The service was super friendly. The man was calm and patient as we decided what to have. It was an unplanned visit, as my daughter was promised ice cream but the ice cream place closed after we parked our car. We were both so glad to have tried it!! When I found an ice cream place afterwards my daughter was satisfied with the pizza and mozzarella sticks she just enjoyed. I thank the server too for redirecting the attention of a man that walked in away from us. Very grateful. We will be back!!

Went in for a quick slice on a Friday night to try this place out and was very pleased. Ordered a Cuban and a mushroom mania and both were great. Pizzas were made to order so they’re not just sitting in a display waiting to be heated. Will definitely go back and order larger pizzas. Staff were super friendly and the place was clean. Will definitely be going back.

Excellent value for money, though the pizzas are greesy. The shape resembles a Detroit pizza, however it misses the mark in terms of the genuine Detroit pizza base; feel; and taste.

I was initially a little skeptical of this pizza joint because I usually opt for Neapolitan-style pizzas, but I was beyond impressed by the flavour that's packed into these pizzas! Not to mention that perfect crust! Such a great range of pizzas on the menu, but I especially recommend the Roast Pumpkin and Mushroom-Mania options! This place has now become one of my favourite pizza spots in Sydney and is a definite must-visit whenever I'm in Newtown!

Was pleasantly surprised with this little pizza shop and have been back several times since. Great idea to be able to be order by the slice and the slices are a meal in themselves. The come out piping hot and covered in great topping. The crust is light, fluffy and delicious - totally yum

Amazingg Pizza Slices.. crispy crust, soft and perfect amount of cheese superb flavour.. loved it so much!! Definitely worth trying. Also check out the creative quotes on the wall while you wait for your order (doesn't take long at all) like "Paying Taxes! Pizza is good with tears!" and many more. The place has limited seating but the pizza slices are amazing 😍❤️

I think these guys will become one of the top pizza places in Sydney! First time trying 'Detroit' style pizza which is in a square. Glad to see they had a pretty good Gluten Free option too (it was not rock hard like others). We tried: *Detroit pizza - Hula Hula, Buffalo, Motor Car Supreme & Chicken & Bacon Ranch. *Garlic Cheese Fingers. *Gluten Free pizza - 5 Cheese with sausage (the 4 cheese is amazing!!!) *Cheese Sticks Overall really good value at $5 a slice. The staff were really friendly and helpful with suggestions.

Sliced Detroit Pizza in Newtown is great for takeaway pizza and delivery. Most of their pizzas are square, Detroit style (gluten free pizza is round) I really enjoyed the mozarella sticks and garlic pizza fingers. Everything here is great value. You can buy pizza by the slice for $5 which is great if you're on the go. It's quite filling and I'd come back for one before a movie

A newly opened shop located on King St, Newtown. These guys are make some fresh, flavoursome Detroit pizzas. We ordered the roasted garlic & feta, buffalo, veggie delight and garlic fingers. Couldn't fault any of them! Would definitely go back!

I want to start by saying I never write reviews....but when i'm on holiday in Australia and being from Detroit, I was thoroughly amazed and impressed by the pizza and how well they represented my city. Genuinely one of the best American pizzas I've had. Toppings were tasty, cheese was melty, and crust was crispy. Price was very reasonable. Service was quick. Staff were top notch. I'll definitely be back. To the owners - consider opening another branch in the Inner West!

I'd give these guys about a 3.5 stars but you can't. I think the quality of their dough is nice however their sauce needs some work as it lacked a fair bit of flavour. Anyway presentation of the pizza may have changed I do not know. Good crunch and texture to dough. Serving is good. Just wish there was more flavour in that sauce.

Wish I could give 6 stars to this place. The first time I bit into their $5 single slice pizza, I knew I'd found something magical. It was something about the crispiness of the crust, the perfect balance of flavours that were rich with character and not too salty, or maybe it was just the unique square shape. I took my friends there a few nights later after raving to them about this "amazing pizza place I found in Newtown". Because you can find pizza on every street these days, they were skeptical at first, but after they bit into their first slice... they couldn't deny it. They were particularly blown away by the garlic sauce that comes with the garlic dippers, which come in a generous serving. That was the first time I tried the dipping sauce and let me tell you something... I've never had a sauce that tastes so damn good. I don't know what these guys are doing, but they know their stuff. The staff are friendly, and I met one of the 3 brothers that own the place, Jeremiah, and you can tell that he is passionate about what he does by talking to him, not to mention by how the food tastes. This is the first food review I've ever written, and I never thought it would be about pizza... but here I am.

I have had this Pizza a dozen times. Always on time, always consistent. Good value for money. I like square pizza. You get more in the box. I like this style of Pizza in general. I've ordered a few times and can say the consistency needs work. Sometimes it's great and other times yuck. The last time, the cheese tasted old like it's been on the freezer too long. Also you don't have many non pork options. Everything has pork in it.

Refreshingly different pizza. We had the 5 cheese pizza, it was so great you could've sweared it was some fancy Italian margherita pizza, only here it was better with even more flavours (who knew cheese could do that.) I had the supreme, the ingredients were perfectly balanced, the crust was the highlight, high and oh puffed and soft. This pizza base was like sponge cake compared with a stale pita wrap. And so, the balanced toppings went perfectly with the crust, you don't feel groggy after eating. Try out, I'm sure you'll appreciate how different and nice the pizza from here is.

You can't help but read all the silly quote on the wall while eating delicious pizza there. Personal favourite: Finger garlic bread - this is so simple and yet so tasty and satisfying. Meat selection: Super-roni and meat cravers (as a meat lover, I approved this) Chicken selection: Smokey bar-b-q and bacon and ranch - both were my favourite!! Vegetarian: Love the roas pumpkin, veggie delight and five cheeses - I am a meat lover but love love their vegetarian selection!! Definitely will visit and order from them again!!
