21/03/22 - On the corner of King William Street we visited 2KW and experienced the rooftop bar. For those on a first time visit be aware that 2 x elevator rides are required to reach your destination. Once up top we found ourselves a fantastic spot to sit and have a few beverages whilst the sun set. Views of the Adelaide Oval and surrounds were magnificent. The service was welcoming and the food was delicious. The Bar Menu wasn't your basic nibbles etc... it was filled with delicious options that were hard to choose from. We ended up having the Triple Cooked Salt & Vinegar Potatoes and Two Gulfs Crab Crumpets. WOW. FYI there is a restaurant option here as well, although we did not experience this I am sure it would be worthy for some to know this. As visitors from Sydney this location was a fantastic way to start our holiday.

My partner and I celebrated Christmas Eve here and we were not disappointed! We arrived early for our booking and the staff were more than happy to show us to the balcony to get us started on cocktails. When our table was ready they collected us. We chose the led us feed you option and we could not be happier. Some of the dishes are pictured. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We will definitely be coming again. Absolutely amazing food and service, definitely worth the money.

Enthralling experience at one of the best rooftop bars situated on level 8 with a full view of Adelaide. Cocktails are innovative and exciting, especially the 2KW. The triple cooked salt and vinegar potatoes goes well with drinks and is a typical bar snack. Ordered a fresh fish, it was cooked well and had retained the moisture. This place is all things fancy you can imagine, might be a bit hefty on pocket but it is worth it. Drop here for your dinner date or anything special! Won't be disappointed.

Very happy with our dinner last night here. Food and drinks where top notch. Service was very friendly and professional. The place was fairly busy, being a friday night, but the wait between dishes was very reasonable. Only negative was that the chairs where pretty mediocre for such a nice establishment.

At last, this venue has been on my bucket list for the last five plus years and lived up to my expectations, with exceptional quality food, on the amazing Adelaide rooftop location, on the corner of North Terrace and King William Street..You never know who you may bump into here either..! Would absolutely recommend this restaurant! Came here for dinner with 2 other people in late May 2021. We sat inside; next time I will try to book a table closer to the window so I can enjoy the view. Food is designed to be shared. I cannot fault anything about the experience - ambience, interiors, service and most importantly the food (especially the chicken, eggplant and octopus) were all fantastic. Well balanced, perfectly cooked and beautifully presented. Great value as well given the quality of food. I can't wait to come back and try some other dishes.

Atmosphere is great. Service from the staff were amazing. Serving size is average for fine dining. Great for sharing as the menu suggests. However for the price of the food, you would think it would all taste great. Some dishes were great, some not so much which dampened the dining experience. The oysters were not fresh and were not enjoyable. The chicken was tender and beautiful. The seasonal greens we're amazing and well dressed. The cod was a winner. The succulents were amazing. However the mullet and kingfish was disappointing. Would I go back? Yeh sure...for a different menu. Is it worth it? Not really. Still an enjoyable experience nonetheless.

My partner and I came here for a nice date night (we’re from rural SA so don’t get to do this often). We where amazed with how gorgeous the venue is! The food was absolutely phenomenal! the customer service/ care the staff provided was outstanding. Unfortunately I cannot give more than 5 stars. I highly highly recommend checking out this restaurant and bar! I strongly suggest getting the lamb shoulder and the triple cooked vinegar and salted potatoes! The lamb is dressed with quite a sweet dressing/sauce and can be a little off putting/ over powering. The vinegar on the potatoes can be quite over powering as well but when you have a mouthful of both combined it is the most amazing taste and absolutely worth the money! I also love that they practice sustainability by purchasing and supplying from local South Australians as much as possible! Their flat water is also from the local Adelaide hills. It's got the views, the sophisticated yet chic ambience, great tasting food and excellent service team. Only downside was the donut dessert... Not quite sweet enough to be called a dessert. Overall, had a wonderful lunch with the family and will definitely be back for seconds (might try the $70 "let us feed you menu").

We enjoyed a family dinner here. The booking was smooth and when we needed to amend the number of guests a day before, the staff were polite and appreciative of the advance notice. Our booking was for 7 people, so we enjoyed the 'let us feed you' menu. It was noisy, but we also attended during a peak time (6.15pm on a Friday night) when after work drinks were taking place. Service by the staff was perfect, knowledgeable, friendly, prompt and always with a smile on their face. The food was delicious - highly recommend the lamb - generous serving and a melt in your mouth flavoursome delight. Only suggestion is around the noise and not being able to clearly hear the dish description as they were delivered - perhaps a menu on the table would have helped.

Very impressed by the quality of food here. The medium rare Phoenix steak was spot-on and the charred cauliflower was a pleasant burst of flavours in your mouth. The other dishes were just as outstanding. Note: I would give it 4.5 stars (if Google allows that). The 0.5 stars was taken for the over-salted salt and vinegar potato chips.

Beautiful food, extensive drink list, & excellent service. We visited as a group of 5 for a catch up dinner on a Tuesday night. As it is covid time, we did have to book in advance. We went for the feed us menu at $70pp and enjoyed every dish that came out. Our favourites were the lamb shoulder (succulent, fell off the bone easily, and the sauce was to die for) and the beef tataki (so buttery soft). The cocktails were also great and the wine list was massive. The waiter who helped us picked drinks was very knowledgeable and friendly. We are definitely visiting again.

What an amazing view of Adelaide! We visited the bar area to celebrate a friend's birthday and we very much enjoyed the vibe. Seating is pretty limited for the capacity, so we had to quickly snag a table when someone left so we could order food. Worth the wait though! We had the mushroom pizza, the prosciutto pizza, and the triple cooked salt and vinegar potatoes. All were so tasty, but the mushroom pizza was the star of the show for sure! We enjoyed sipping our drinks and listening to some funky beats.

We did the Feed-me option where they select the choice of food for you. It was a nice selection, well prepared with a bit of difference to make the food unique. It was a cold, wet night but the night view overlooking Skycity, Parliament House, Adelaide oval and Cathedral was worth a coue of snaps.

I've been here a couple of times before and this was the kicker, NYE dinner. It was awesome. The food was amazing, the service was excellent. The ONLY downside, the DJ! The music got too loud in the dining area way too soon before midnight. It made it impossible to talk and we ended up yelling at each other. And his choice of music was very dated. But the food.... The food! Twelve dishes of yum. It was all delicious and some of the best lamb shoulder I've ever had. The crab crumpet was wickedly good, the wagyu tataki with fried okra was brilliant and the roast chicken moist and juicy and flavourful. A fabulous way to send off 2020.

**Came for drinks outside: The views here are spectacular and the drinks aren’t too badly priced. Staff who served us wasn’t the friendliest or very enthusiastic to be there (looked like a manager). Top notch service and brilliant food! A little on the pricey side for the average person but great for a special occasion. My partner and I dined here on Valentine's Day and were pleasantly surprised with the portion sizes. You do get what you pay for which can't always be said for some high-end restaurants. Professional staff are happy to provide details regarding each dish or make recommendations if you're undecided on what to order. Would probably visit again. Definitely recommend if you've never been. Indoor and outdoor bar with plenty of searing. Also a great view of the parklands and oval at sunset!

2KW is a nice spot for drinks tucked away in the city. We visited on a very hot day so, naturally, all the seats in the shade were taken as many of the guests were playing musical chairs. Once settled in a spot under the shade, we had a lovely afternoon enjoying sparkling rosé with views out over Adelaide. We ordered the gnocchi as a small plate (we are vegatarian and there were limited food options available) and it was delicious.

Fantastic place to view the city from above at the end of King William Street. Great view over the north of Adelaide. They've got a great selection of wines. The decor is simple and decked out with comfortable furnishings in a very tasteful arrangement inside and out. With few places like this in Adelaide it can get a little tight on a normal night as people seem to gravitate here.

Great food, great service. Didn't realize how tight the schedule of bookings are when we booked a table. Some of the people from our party arrived a bit later than the original time booked. Staff initially told us we might have to miss dessert cause we don't enough time. But then they were able to accommodate us by getting us a table outside so that we can have dessert. The food was delicious, the slow cooked lamb was perfect and the salt and vinegar potatoes were to die for. Obviously the food is overpriced, but that was expected. If you wanna go somewhere fancy, pricey with but within reason, I highly recommend this place.

1st time here. Celebrating my partner's birthday with my sister and bro' in law from Perth Had a great time. Views are fantastic. But service slow and pretty shoddy really WAAAY overpriced and the corridors to get there look like they belong in a bus depot. Lift your game. Even though you have the best views, there are many competitors who offer a better service.

Nice spot. I think it would've been nicer during the day rather than at night. You can't really take in the view at the top of the building. Scallops with couscous were my favourite. My partner ordered the sourdough, I would not recommend. - it was nice but not worth the order, bread wasn't warm, butter didn't really taste anything special. We got the Murray cod as a main. I would've liked a bit more of the buerre blanc sauce for flavour on the fish. I probably wouldn't order this main again. My partner loved the salt and vinegar baked potatoes - would order again. The restaurant is made to share which was nice. I wasn't a fan of the yuzu dessert, would probably go for the doughnut one next time.

Excellent experience in the bar and also amazed by the food and services, people who refused because the wearing code should pay some attention on the wearing, try to making everyone not embarrassed please. We have been to so many themed lunches over the years and thoroughly enjoyed the food and wine/cocktails, however, the last two events have been mediocre...I'm guessing with covid19 around the bamboo knives, forks and paper plates is now the norm???? The venue is unreal and the staff awesome.... we'll be back in 2021 and check out this great Adelaide venue.

Always a great experience at 2KW. Staff is fantastic. Views are stunning. Menu has a variety of foods and drinks. Seating is limited so may have to wait at the bar and keep an eye out. Didn't get a chance to try their food though the place was highly recommended to us. And the reason for that was the service, which was lacking. When we arrived, the lady at the front desk was chatting on the phone so she quickly turned the phone away and said, just go through the side and round the back, and promptly went back to her conversation. Turns out there was a private event which she didn't tell us about but just waved us away to the bar. A heads up would've been nice. The food may be good but with plenty of decent restaurants and bars in Adelaide now, I wonder, why bother with this place when they can't be bothered with you?

As an overseas visitor, sadly this venue did not live up to its hype with its first impression. My friends and I were there for a post theatre dinner but the food menus were not given to us once we were seated at our table only the drinks menu. After our wine order was taken, the food menus were still not offered, and after about ten minutes we had to ask for the food menus. The food was good, particularly the Kingfish sashimi, Murray Cod and the lamb, and the staff knowledgeable about the food they served, and this redeemed the poor first impression.

Nice roof top bar in Adelaide. Service is quite good as well. On weekends it can be difficult to get a lounge booth to sit. One negative is that it appears people"reserve" these booths simply by leaving a jacket or two there. Just like leaving a towel on a desk chair at a pool. Not great when you are waiting for a booth which goes unused for an hour or two simply because it has been "reserved" with a jacket. At about the 1 hour mark pointed this out to a staff member and asked could we use a booth that had been unattended for an hour (save for two jackets) but were told no as they could come back at anytime. Perhaps a policy to prevent this from happening might be a good idea? However this was just a minor blip on what otherwise is a nice venue. They have plenty of food you can order to share. Nice range of Pizzas with plenty of vegetarian options. My wife tells me the cocktails are great too. Good trendy spot in Adelaide to while away an afternoon.

I love this place and am glad to have somewhere like This, to take my collagues and friends when they visit Adelaide. The food is great and the cocktail list is extensive. I have read some other reviews of bad service and snobby staff, and if I'm totally honest, I have observed it on the odd occasion. I haven't experienced it myself, but it does exist. If someone genuinely doesn't meet the dress code, they don't need to be made to feel like an idiot about it. There is a right way to address this. The only suggestion I would like to make is that if a booth is "reserved" with a jacket, and not used for 30 minutes, then the staff should take the jacket and make it available to other patrons. But personally, I'm in love with this place and highly recommend it. My review is actually 4.5 stars, but Google Maps won't let me put that.

Judging by the clientele queuing, and the strange restaurant space, with shades of confused provinciality about it, coupled with average reviews at the time, I was not optimistic about the dinner experience here. I was pleasantly surprised. Firstly, try to get a table closer to the pizza oven end, it's way more cosy and almost alleviates food court openess feel of the restaurant. We were lucky to have this little corner away from bridal shower, office party crowds. The best surprise, though, was the food. It was really good. The fish dishes were especially tasty and well cooked. Price-wise for this quality of food, at least that evening, it is good value for money. We had really good service too. Enjoyed it, much to our surprise.
