Excellent table service and tasty food. The chicken Parm was great I added bacon as it didn't come with ham, the other dish was salt and pepper squid both were great. The cokes we ordered came in a glass bottle with glasses and there was a candle lit at the booth we sat at. The atmosphere was friendly and the prices were very reasonable. Would definitely recommend coming here.

Pleasant enough pub with lovely courtyard. Good service. Very busy dining area. Amazing selection of wines and spirits. Meals delicious, apart from seafood basket which was a little average. I had had a poor experience some years ago at this pub, and hadn't been back until Friday night. Staff were friendly and helpful. Orders were placed for dinner....and then we waited... and waited. I wouldn't say that the pub was flat out. I'm guessing it was about 25% capacity, but we waited well over an hour or more for the main meals to arrive after the entrees. Apparently, there was a large group before us..! We had to ask for the table service we had already been offered, as no-one seemed to know that we were there. My meal was standard pub food as pictured), but my friends ordered the Whiting ($40+?) Two fillets of "Whiting" arrived. We mistook them for Tommy Ruff! Thankfully, an embarrassed waitress understood the situation and after a while, another lot of Tommy Ruff sized fillets came out for those who ordered the Whiting. Once the food eventually arrived, the night got back on track...

Shout out to the mad lad playing drum and bass during the Sunday lunch shift. Basslines were as thick as the delicious vegan schnitzel. Mother in-law didn't appreciate the wavy bangers as much.

Food used to be bettter, it's not bad but it's not execptional more mediocre, prices are reasonable for a pub for somethings, menu needs a revamp. Also get rid of potato in a burger, a hash brown or fritter might work but not just standard potato.

Exceptionally amazing food. The vegan food usually end up being very sweet in most restaurants. But this place had the best vegan option I have ever had. Excellent customer service as well!

Visited here a couple of weeks ago just before the end of lunch service. Steak was cooked perfectly medium rare! Nice and crunchy Korean chicken pieces. Large servings of chips and slaw as well. Friendly staff to compliment our meal here.

3 steaks on our table way over cooked. Asian Chicken salad was average. No Asian flavour. The staff were amazing and looked after our group extremely well. We loved the idea of the "order numbers" for each individual. Despite the food we had a great time.

Today I celebrated my birthday at this amazing venue. From the 1st day I booked till today I cannot praise this place enough. The Barton restaurant seated 46 (can hold up to 50) comfortably & is an elegant looking room with a great outlook out onto the parklands. There was no cost for hiring the venue for a Sunday lunch, and for our guests to pay for their own meal individually made this place very attractive to book. Today the staff were so attentive and extremely competent. The food was all yummy, brought to our guests almost simultaneously & delivered hot. I highly recommend this place to anyone, excellent value.

CALEDONIAN HOTEL Booked during this COVID-19 period. We had a 1415 on a Sunday. We arrived early and sat outside in the sun while we waited for our table to be available. - COVID19 safe plan developed and posted - Seating was in a booth - Beer was cold - Ordered a 300g Scotch fillet which was cooked perfect - Unfortunately the sauce was watery ( red wine jus and garlic cream sauce ) - Service was on point - Price of food and drink was reasonably priced

hi, A friend and I went to dinner here last night without a booking. For some reason, we couldn't get a park anywhere else in North Adelaide and when we found a car park out the back here, we jumped at the chance at trying the restaurant. Even though we didn't have a booking, we were kindly ushered to a table. Kaitlyn, our waitress, was quick to bring us cool water, and deliver menus, for both wine and food. When we enquired what was popular, she recommended a few and was so friendly and easy to chat with. The food came quickly, and Kaitlyn's recommendations were on par - nice work. The food was tasty, fast, fresh and generously portioned. We talked for hours and at no point felt ushered to leave. Thanks so much, especially to Kaitlyn who was a delight. xx

Both my husband and I had the eye fillet medium done. It did not disappoint at all. Soft, tender, easy to cut and a delight to eat. We requested something else instead of fries and the warm potato salad that the waitress suggested along with coleslaw was well worth it. 1st ever visit to this venue. The staff are very friendly and professional. The rooms are quite spacious. We had a 10+ group and everyone enjoyed their meal. The desserts were excellent too. Overall a very pleasant experience.

Returned for the excellent $15 homemade generously filled pie, crisp chips and slaw with an excellent creamy dressing. Quality and fresh. I love that they have smaller and larger serves and a varied menu. Not just typical pub fare. A cut above I think. Recently renovated it has an airy but warm feel.

Very disappointed. Service poor. Long delay from being seated to being asked if we would like drinks. We were actually discussing whether it was table service or attend bar to order. Were there for 2.5 hrs. Next drink was ordered from the bar as not not asked again. The pub missed out on two more rounds. Food - order was stuffed up. Two meals served third one 20 mins later. Salmon and chicken pie were good. Fisherman platter squid overcooked. Fish soggy batter. The chips were excellent.

We were three ladies out for a leisurely Sunday lunch at the Caledonian Hotel. Well, what a fabulous experience. The front of house staff were very, very good. In particular Scott, who was personable, informative and friendly and had some great suggestions for our lunch selections. To start we shared the prawn twisters and pork belly spring rolls - beautifully cooked and a tasty start to the mains. Three steaks - petite fillet, black angus eye fillet and the wagyu rump. All cooked beautifully according to specifications, with accompanying sauces. Shout out to the blue cheese aioli - tangy and delicious. Wine selection is extensive, service awesome - do yourselves a favour and visit the Cali for a great time.
