We ate here 28th Feb 2022. We didn't have a booking and they were really busy, but still managed to get a table. The staff were really nice and helpful. It was a Monday night and the trivia was on. We missed registration and couldn't sit outside where the entertainment was, but were able to still participate in the fun watching the big screen and trying to hear the music clips through the glass doors while we waited for our meals and enjoyed a couple of drinks. The host seemed very engaging with every one, it was a great atmosphere of fun. Our meals took a little while, but that was okay considering how busy the place was. The flavours of the food was nice overall, we had the half chicken which had a real delicious marinade. I was really looking forward to trying my first angus beef schnitzel for something different, but was really disappointed with the toughness of the meat. I could barely cut the schnitzel with the knife, so chewing it wasn't enjoyable either. It was well and truly way overcooked. Everything else was good.

Several good beer options, we (a group of 8) had all different dishes, we all were satisfied. I ordered the Salmon Laksa out of curiosity as I wondered what that 'combo' is. It may sound a bit odd but was very tasty. The staff was nice, the place clean and inviting.

Sadly I didn't get any photos of the food but this place is incredible!! I will be going back!! Too many choices of beer to order, even more food options, we went for lunch in a large group after a funeral and I ordered the crispy chicken burger and WOW brioche bun was a nice touch, chicken WAS crispy on the outside and juicy and well cooked on the inside, bacon was nice and smokey, nice addition of the guac and swisse cheese, I loved it, it did not last long 🤣 The Gepps X lager by coopers was nice and crisp and refreshing, friendly staff, just a great time, I think even better than pirate life which I gave a 5 stars also.

Nice place. Sports bar atmosphere with big screen showing the Tennis and smaller screens with the cricket and basketball. The meals were fairly priced and very good quality for the money. My Salt and Pepper Squid was just so tender. Hmmmmm. The others had yummy schnitzel and a Seafood plate. Dessert was OMG! Lava cake with ice cream 🍨. Yeah. Service was fast and efficient and such lovely smiles 😁 We will be back for sure, this was just so good!

The spicy wings are divine. Just buy a massive pile of them and have that as an entire meal *chef kiss* The schnitzel was good, but the sauce.... oh Lord the garlic sauce. Everyone at the table kept stealing it from my plate. It's amazing. Serving sizes are huge and the drinks menu is good. Had a good laugh with the bar tenders and everyone was great. Absolutely will be going there again for dinner and drinks.

On the way home from cricket called in here for dinner had the fish and chips with salad. Excellent atmosphere and great food. Outdoor dining/beer garden has excellent ventilation and space making it very safe for those wary of covid. You can also place an order and pay right from your table without having to get out of your seat. This would be great for a busy Saturday night! The live music is also excellent, and the vegan chickpea burger was one of the best burgers I have had in years. Chips cooked to perfection also. A+

Tables are a little close together making for a very loud atmosphere when it’s full of customers. There service though is great and everyone seems very helpful. Everything is nice and clean and you can see the tables are being cleaned thoroughly after customers leave. Wasn’t too keen on the salad as there were peppers in it which I wasn’t expecting. Scotch fillet was done nicely. Onion rings were the best part I think.

Concise menu, tad pricey but good quality. Is that all? Location: want some noise- CA's right on Gepps Cross. Want to get extra tipsy- Dan Murphy's a stones throwaway. Ambience: boxy dull colored extension to a highway styled Gepps Cross hotel- a light grey building. Inside is a tad dark but long hall. Bar, tables, kitchen, walls and light letting window. A garden outside if u need nature's air. TVs were small from where I viewed save for the one in garden. Food: was quickly served by courteous staff holding many plates. My prayers saved the plates from answering Gravity's call. Presentation was photo worthy. My plate of risotto tasted good, lasted more than 10 spoonfuls. Parking space? plenty!

We had a booking at 1. We ordered and was told the food would be approx 45 minutes. Took just over 1.5 hrs. The steak was burnt. The chips and wedges were cold. When I ordered a drink at the bar the keg had to be changed and was told they would bring my beer to our table. But they forgot and I had to go back and wait in line again

Nice pub, very busy for just a Tuesday. Caesar salad was pretty good, not the best but still nice.. bacon needed to be the good crispy fatty stuff, not barely cooked short cut. Needed more parmesan and the dressing lacked the funk of Worcestershire sauce. Nice croutons. Delicious salt and pepper haloumi. Hubby had salty pig pizza, really tasty but a bit soggy.

Great variety of food, a large selection of beers - and a stunning bear garden surrounded by beautiful plants for all to enjoy! You can book outdoor booths with their own TVs for special events. Heating is available on cold days. Cool misting on those hot summer days. An outdoor bar. They’ve got everything covered! This location is THE SPOT to go to if you want to enjoy the UFC live on a weekend, or any other major sporting event for that matter. Indoor dining is also beautiful, with plenty of ambience. Staff are always nicely dressed and happy to help with recommendations. Plenty of parking, kid-friendly menu available. A place that just keeps on getting better and better as the years go on.

Restaurant area: It was good. Nothing special but nothing bad about the food, except they put my snitty on top of the chips 🤦 Beer garden: Pretty good. Good atmosphere, massive tv for the footy, good open areas but with good seperation from each other. Not real happy getting a beer that was 3 months out of date. You need to repaint your carpark, the spped humps are almost invisible!!

The Coopers Alehouse offers a good variety of menu items, that would appeal to most people, including a VEGAN Burger 🍔 (which is delicious!) Meals are available from 12:00 until 21:00 Mon - Sat. There is a great Breakfast offer on Sundays from 9:00 until 11:30. The food is consistently good. I really enjoy the cheesy garlic bread (pizza style) and regularly call in for one, washing it down with a chilled Coopers Ale. Yummm........! A good range of Coopers beers are on tap. I love the 'Keg Display' as you enter via the southern side. It's a huge glass window of BEER! 🍻 A variety of seating options are available, including indoor and outdoor alfresco style. With booths, barlike stools & bench tops and a range of tables with seating for 4, 6, 8+ outside and 4, 6, 8, 20+ inside. There also toasty warm fireplaces in & out. Plenty of pokies in a designated area. Also a quite lounge area, left of the southern entrance. The staff are friendly and helpful and offer great service. There is plenty of parking with Wheelchair access ♿ and parking. The amenities are clean and well maintained. I highly recommend you visit, I love the place!

The night I went it was packed but still managed a table in the beergarden which was ok except for the occasional drip from the slightly leaking roof but will forgive that as there was a major storm outside at the time. The roof did rattle a bit with the strong wind but not too bad considering how bad it was outside so. We shared a Yoder Smoker which has a lot of meat which for the most part was good. The only thing that we didn't like much was the drumsticks which I am not sure smoked chicken is a great taste combination.

The best part the food was amazing.. the ambience is good.. everything and everyone else were below average.. starting with service, we had to wait for high chair for kids around 10 mins and asking again they gave it.. we were in like when they just opened... the coffee was not hot( after researching a bit someone told we should specifically mention i need really hot coffee, I will do that next time) and was spilled in the saucer. And the napkins were very tiny,maybe suitable for coffee,not for lunch or dinner... All the staff except a male staff were very uptight and not so pleasant.. the guy very good at service and pleasant.. Maybe it will be better when we are there after all this corona fuss.. so good food, below average service.. Price was good for the food and place..

Good food good catering.. very bad service when it comes to hosting a birthday dinner.. you can only book the table for 2 hours.. I had 19 people and had to ask them to leave.. I won’t consider coopers ale house for family get together.. maybe good for dinner for two a small family.. overall I’m dissatisfied when they asked us to leave when there were other tables who came way before us and they stayed back more than us.. felt odd.. won’t book this venue again for a birthday celebration..

We were politely greeted by the staff and taken over to the some reserved booths. We were right next to the live performer who was super talented and the food that we had was great value and bloody delicious. Wish there were more stars to give. I went here this morning as there was an ad in The Advertiser for 50% off breakfast on Sunday between 9 and 11am. One of the best places to eat in Adelaide! Fantastic value for money and the food is sensational. We recently celebrated my mums birthday with a table of 18 being booked in late notice and they moved heaven and earth for us. The food, from entreès, kids meals, to pastas, steaks and pizzas were all fantastically cooked and delicious. The atmosphere was wonderful, warm and pleasant and all the staff were excellent, attentive and all had a smile on their face! Can’t wait to go back!

Wow, haven't been for awhile, but back on a November Saturday night 2021 to celebrate a 50th, the level of service was excellent. The floor staff super efficient & diligent in their work, the bar staff super friendly & accommodating, a lovely & welcoming experience all round, still a good ambience & atmosphere, happy to be back. This is an interesting establishment where equally as many good & bad episodes can all occur in the one evening, & so it came to pass. We were a party of six celebrating a birthday, we often come here because we like the ambience & enjoy the atmosphere. The staff are generally young, friendly & energetic with beaming smiles, but there were two exceptions with sour faces this evening. These two persons obviously in the wrong vocation & need to be weeded out. The evening went well, it was busy & filled with loud conversation, Chelsea, the girl that took our orders was an asset to this venue, very positive & cheerful. She said it would be a 40 minute wait for our main meals, we were happy to wait, drink & converse. HOWEVER, when the meals finally arrived, ALL the chips were cold. We were prepared to wait 40 minutes, but expected a hot meal at the least. I made this known to the kitchen manager, she barely acknowledged the complaint, then continued with her back turned & ignored our complaint. No HOT chips arrived. I then approached Chelsea, she was brilliant, offered six coffees & cake on the house to appease our disappointment. She notified the senior manager, Jonathan, he also was brilliant, apologised & immediately addressed the situation. We left happy, the food here is generally good & reasonably priced. I would easily recommend one try this establishment, we will be back. Cheers.

I grabbed the Yoder Meat Platter $75, I've eaten at some excellent joints throughout Melbourne but originally from Adelaide and thought the platter was very good, the ribs were the biggest I've seen, the meat didn't need a knife I just pulled it apart with my fork. The chicken came out a bit cold but none the less was good but little dry. I would reccomend this place and it would have 5*****s if ONLY it had the same menu options for schnitzels as they do in the CBD, a amazing place with awesome atmosphere and best schnitzel options.

Overall, yes I enjoyed my time. I'll just start by saying that. I think I went here before and the food was less than acceptable. The quality was low and the prices were high. Talk about stepping it up! I've been there recently and their food was actually phenomenal. Their wings were outstanding, and cheap for the amount at just 50c per wing! The schnitzel was also very enjoyable, but slightly expensive. I'd say the food was pretty good value for money. I tried a different variety of foods and definitely thought that they'd stepped it up. The service was fairly decent, there were some moments where you wouldn't get instant help, but it is a busy place. The atmosphere is quite enjoyable and most of all you were served with a smile and an interactive person every time! Great job, Coopers Alehouse. You've definitely won my family's faith back.

Due to Covid restrictions, we were unable to host a traditional 'wake' for my Mum so we contacted the Alehouse and their service and lines of communication were outstanding. They were incredibly helpful and very sympathetic towards to tone of the required function but it was the attention to detail that impressed me the most. The area was beautifully set up and all of the staff were friendly and helpful. I cannot speak more highly of Reece and his staff for their communication, high level of service and attention to detail. 15 of us stayed on for lunch and all of the food was excellent in both quality and value. I would recommend this establishment without hesitation to anyone.

I was surprisingly disappointed. On arrival the restaurant was nice and civilised with music at a ice level to be able to talk but as more people came in the music continued to get louder which I turn made people talk louder and the music got louder again, it seems either the staff prefer the music than people talking or it is on an automated system, whatever the case this probably needs to be looked into, love a bit of music while eating but want to be able to hear the others at the table too. I came really excited for a good schnitzel after having a great experience from the city venue that was delivered via Uber eats back in October what I got delivered was better than what I had dining in today. The cheese on the Parma was like it had been melted in the microwave and broiled for 30 secs to get some colour on it, the food arrived only slightly warm, it was like it had been sitting on the pass for 5 minutes prior. I hope this was a due just a bad day in the kitchen as I wouldn’t think it would be because it was busy as I understand the venue is fairly busy all the time. Everyone else seemed very happy with their food at the table and I would agree with them just based off looks.

We attended again tonight for dinner and had Rib eye steak, chicken curry, salt and pepper squid and a couple of kids meals and they were all fantastic. Thank you for the excellent service, food and atmosphere. It's great to see a business that not only is aiming for a high standard, but is also dedicated to ensuring all customers' enjoy their meal and experience, we'll be back! This was once a favourite place, unfortunately no more. I never usually return meals, but this is the second time, in as many visits, I've had to send a meal back. First time, uncooked pizza, only to get it less cooked the second time, sadly this time, under cooked chicken and when I got the second plate, had half frozen chips on my plate. First time I tried to provide feedback more discreetly via instant message, but got no response. I hope it improves because it's a nice place.

Finding a Christmas lunch menu that didn't include copious amounts of seafood was a challenge, and thankfully, Coopers alehouse delivered! My wife and I went to the Alehouse for lunch today, she had a rib eye which was quite nice and I opted for the yoder smoker plate. Unfortunately the pork ribs and beef ribs were well undercooked and extremely tough, I like pork ribs to pull easily from the bone, I could barely cut the meat from these using a steak knife. The fat in the beef ribs had not been rendered down enough and these were also extremely tough, the kransky and pulled pork were good but lacked the smoke flavour I was expecting.

Sunday 21st July 2019, I went to Coopers Ale house for the first time. Wait times were too long, we waited an hour and a half for almost everyone to receive their food, but me. I waited an hour and 50 minutes to receive a ceaser salad. although, once I had received the salad it was prepared to PERFECTION. The chicken was warm and tender, melting in my mouth. The portion size was perfect as well as the mix of ingredients worked well. Usually you order a salad and it’s 90% lettuce. So I was really happy with the meal itself and would recommend it. The customer service here is also amazing. The lady staff that was serving us when we ordered food was friendly, presentable, and had excellent knowledge regarding the menu which was helpful. We also had a male waiter who personally came up and apologised to me, and offered a way to make my experience better. I understand mistakes can happen in a busy kitchen as I work in hospitality myself so I was really impressed with the friendly attitude and the attention towards making our table happy. It was a busy day which would explain the ridiculous wait time, but I hope when I go back for a second time that the food Is served in a normal amount of time, and taste just as good.

Came with a few friends to try out the all you can eat breakfast on a Sunday. I gotta say, the food was pretty good, however the lineups and the wait to actually get the food was a bit disappointing. Its almost like they need two buffet stations to halve the line up a bit. Also disappointing was the hold up of waiting for more of certain things, like bacon and the scrambled eggs. They would empty and then take a couple of minutes to replenish instead of having a new lot ready to swap out straight away. However, moving on from the wait time/lineup, the food quality was good, and it was a nice atmosphere, and $20 isn't bad at all for an all you can eat breakfast consisting of multiple options. Would definitely consider coming back, especially if something could be done about the lineups for the buffet.

Really enjoy this place and have been back several times and slowing eating my way through the menu 😆😋 So far every meal has been great! Large serves and very tasty. The meat on the lamb shanks just fell off the bone, fish and calamari were superb and not greasy, beef pie was amazing, satay chicken skewers with warm pita bread and chimmichuri was delicious, beef schnitzel with peppercorn sauce was great, steak was perfectly cooked medium rare and the chilli chicken wings are the bomb and I think I'll just order 3 plates next time instead of a main! After the wanting to come here for more than 6 months we finally got here. We experienced some issues with the food however the staff were outstanding in making it up to us. They went over board to ensure our satisfaction. They replaced our meals and complemented us other dishes and drinks . They also refunded part of our bill. If this place is busy, move on. Waited more than an hour for food, and by the quality they struggled to cope. Some dishes were great, some weren't, and some had a mixture. Have been here a few times and have always enjoyed the food. Amazing to watch the footy on their huge screen while having dinner. Service is friendly and professional. Although, it can be very crowded. We usualy come on weekends so i guess big crowds are expected. They serve other beers, not just Cooper's but why would you drink anything else.?

Updated - 03/11/202 - We revisited Coopers Alehouse and it looks like our feedback was taken seriously. Big thanks to the management for taking this onboard. Yeh... nah. Had dinner here for my mum's bday and it was so not worth the money. Food wasn't that great and worst of all, it cost $4 to swap chips for mash.... I won't be coming back. I'll be supporting The Albion and Woodville hotel because the food is tasty and most important of all, prices are affordable.

Food was so-so. As you’d expect from a pub, maybe a tad pricey for what it was. Decent beer, thankfully. However the customer service was certainly sub standard. There’s nothing worse than when you go out of your way to have a friendly interaction with staff and place your order with a smile and good manners but several staff just treat you like a hassle for ordering a drink. One girl in particular at the bar just seemed like she absolutely did not want to be there, nor have to serve anyone within the establishment. When I paid she said “that’s $20.50’, I said payWave please, and was about to tap my card. She then just walked off. I wasn’t sure if the transaction was finished, or? Just a really odd and standoffish attitude. Puts a damper on your night when you feel like someone has an issue with you. Stood there for a while but she had started chatting with another staff member and I wasn’t given a receipt. The other lady taking the food orders was just flat rude. Weird vibe from everyone there.

We have dined there three times and this was not an enjoyable one. They were busy and we had to wait 60 mins for our meals it was explained to us that it would be a 45 min wait when we sat down so not too bad. When ordering as it was a new menu no one could give advice on flavours or spiciness as they had not tried any of the dishes, changing the menu at the start of December is maybe not a good idea. My sister's meal was missing the micro salad and my order of the baby squid was inedible due to it having the texture of rubber. The manger at the end was extremely apologetic and could not apologise enough, I suggest you go there as it is a good spot but can be very busy.

It was my 1st time at Coopers Alehouse at Gepps Cross, the dinning area was very modern and stylish, and the bar had very interesting beer taps which bubbled and gave off a science lab vibe. The staff seemed pretty flat when my friend and I arrived for lunch we didn't have a reservation and were told to sit at any table which didn't have the reserved sign on it(later on the staff worked together like an well oiled machine and all of the waiting staff seemed to know what they needed to do). We sat near a window I could see directly into the beer garden which appears as if it'd be a great place to hold a function with a large TV, and a retractable sun roof, heaters and small booths through out the garden. We ordered Garlic bread which came out within 10 minutes of ordering we were greeted by a very friendly waitress, all of the waiting staff seemed to perk up through out the lunch service. The garlic bread was like a pizza and was very light and fantastic, and no sooner had the garlic bread arrived, our main meals arrived my seafood risotto was a little crunchy , but the waitress and the chef sorted it quickly which I'm grateful for.(shout out to the two of you) I tried some of my friends chicken schnitzel and it was a solid 10/10, The risotto was also fantastic . Overall my experiences was positive staff were helpful, and the food was good, only negative is that they don't have jugs of drinks .

Updated review - 23/6/20 I was shocked to read the review below as again- i rang up ok the day booked for an inside table, got there and they had not booked me inside. I was very clear and confirmed my seating requirement as I stated i had young children who wouldnt be good outside in the cokd winter weather. Again the food was very nice and I really enjoy my snitzel parmi and wings. Original 2018l7 review. The food and atmosphere was very good. The pub itself is very disorganised. We rang and made a booking 45 minutes before we arrived and when we go there they didn't even have our name written down and told us they were fully booked. After some back and forth they managed to find us a table which was obviously great. The food which came out looked and was presented very well. The main dish was sensational but some of the chips were quite undercooked. I will be going back but definitely some fine tuning to be done.

A great place for a casual meal. The recently re-done hotel has two main dining areas, the main indoor one and a shaded outdoor section. With a nice open feeling the main dining area brings in a lot of light through the large windows out-looking the outdoor area. A half-open kitchen allows patrons to watch their food being handled between the cooks and wait staff. Service was satisfactory with the exception of the lady that served at the counter. Food arrived as requested (sauce on the side) and in relatively quick time. Very pleased, however the server at the counter had no interests in advising the specials or responding to queries about the menu. Quite the glum body language/face. Cleanliness could not be faulted during our dining period. Food was quite nice. Schnitzel with gravy on the side was ordered and upon first inspection, looked palatable. Schnitzel was thick and juicy, could have been a touch crunchier. 8/10 overall taste for the schnitzel. Chips were thick cut and seasoned evenly. Salad was very average with the dressing not really being tasty. A very plain mayo consistency sauce over julienned carrots, sliced cabbage and lettuce bits really didn't complete the experience. Despite this, the overall dish would be a 7/10 as salad is not the main focus. Dessert was a lot better. The Spring Parfait came in quite a large serving and included whole berries underneath cream and mango puree with the macerated strawberries which created a bit of a jam which created an even balance of flavour. Not overly sweet but would still go down well with a glass of water. Finding the crumble mix further down in the dessert was a welcomed surprise, the cookie consistency had me searching the glass for more with my spoon.

Vibrant atmosphere! A band played out in the courtyard and a there was a real buzz in the dining room. Coopers Alehouse has a great selection of pub favorites from juicy burgers and steaks, schnitzels, succulent fish and chips, pasta, nachos and much more. Generous portions with fresh sides. However, be prepared for a loooong wait between ordering and eating. Over 60 minutes tonight 😫😫. The Sports bar and gaming room were also popular.
