Nothing fancy here but value for money deals is the best. We love the steak nights that are buy one get one free. It’s full house with this deal and staff are still friendly even when run off their feet. There is a little room with an indoor play space for the tiny tots. Needs a little clean though, a tad run down.

Had lunch here on a Tuesday at 11:30 AM just as the lunch crowd was queing up. I ordered the fish and chips that comes with a salad and my wife had charred grilled lamb rump. My fish was two pieces of crumbed fish that was good and a smallish portion of fries. My wife's lamb came out in four slices medium rare with mashed potatoes. No complaints. The meals came out within 20 minutes. The bill was $43 there was a special buy one lunch get one lunch for free with a beer and lemon lime and bitters. I would definitely come back again.

If you are after a good pub steak with friendly staff then I would recommend the halfway hotel for sure! Good Morning Gents, Wippet here putting my 2 cents in about the best pub on Port Ffn Road. Pop in for a frothy stay for 6.. The bar manager Angus is a ripping bloke and always makes sure I get a few extra chippies.

Terrific specials and diverse menu including GF, creative vegan/vegetarian and delicious modern pub fair. Generous serves with large fresh side salads. Also complimentary warm crunchy rolls for the table a nice touch. Comfortable, very clean, tidy contemporary aesthetic. Also big points to management in respecting the hospitality etiquette of quiet "background music!" We appreciated being at a 'social' venue and hearing each other for a change. Refreshing and relaxing place to visit. An obviously organised hotel with some of the best staff ever encountered. Highly recommend a visit to the Halfway Hotel. We will return 👍😊

It's a nice place but not fancy. Good food. Although the crispy skinned pork wasn't very crispy. However the flavour was great and I was still happy with my choice. For those who ordered steaks 2 out of 3 were happy with how it was cooked. The 3rd was undercooked but he ate it. However he wasn't very happy when the waitress cleared his plate (while he was taking our son to the bathroom) and he hadn't finished..Great coffee and cake deal of $7 to finish off a lovely meal. There is a kids indoor playground (which could do with some ventilation and air freshener as it smells like socks). For the few negatives we were overall happy with the evening and even my husband said he would go back.

Best restaurant meal I've had in a very long time. We came here for lunch today for a pre-birthday celebration for me with my relatives. The chargrilled porterhouse steak was absolutely delicious, and exactly cooked how we ordered it. Everyone at our table loved the caesar salad. The sticky date pudding was not only delicious, but surprisingly light & fluffy. It was a beautiful meal in every way! The music wasn't annoying as in other pub bistros or restaurants, nor were we ushered out for afternoon clean-up. With supportive bench seating, we were able to stay for 3hrs - something I personally haven't been able to do in many years. The disability toilet was very spacious. The only let down was only *one* official disability park (that was already taken) - I'd not thought to think of the "VIP Park" as a courtesy park equivalent to pram parks at shopping malls, thus I/we had to walk unnecessarily further, but I was assured they'd be adding more disability parking soon. (And may I add the staff were extremely approachable and courteous at every point. Oh, and unlike a restaurant we went for Mother's Day last weekend, we weren't made to feel a nuisance at all for having walkers with us.) Except for the parking, I was very impressed with this restaurant - food, staff, atmosphere, etc. Thank you for a lovely (pre)birthday celebration for me this year. I don't get out much, and you've made it a happy birthday to remember. All being well, I hope to bring my father here next month for his 80th birthday. Thanks again. You've made my birthday celebrations a good memory this year. I can't thank you enough. Cheers!

When the replacement steak was offered (after sending back two times previously), it tasted like a microwaved beef jerky. Disgusting experience. If you like to gamble... Then maybe you want to try your luck at wether the bottle shop is open at the dedicated times.... More than often you'll find you lose, as they love to shut way earlier than expected. I mean it's up to anyone when they want to close the doors without any concern for their customers that you'll find pulling into to the driveway only to do a u turn as the fkn doors are closed at any given time. I mean I'd love to buy this place and just shut it down, just to remove any contemplation of going back there to find it shut, only to receive an excuse "it's because of the blacks".

Me and my husband often go for lunch Saturday and Sundays,the food and staff are very friendly, I always looked forward to the excellent chicken ceaser salad, which was the best in Adelaide, but to my disappointment it was taken off the menu, not happy Jan, please please bring it back , now that I have had the best, I don't want the rest
