This chef knows his Mexican food. This is the real deal. Go there and order the mixed tacos. Add a bit of chilli sauce and enjoy. Generous serves. Friendly service.

I really like this place and highly recommend it. The staff are friendly and service is fast. The woman who served us was so friendly that I would go back just for that service.A good range of things on the menu and there is a pup menu available to. The Mexican food is amazing considering it is a pub. Also a good drink selection with different cocktails. Overall It has a really nice vibe, very chill and stress free.

Condesa is such a great place to come, even with the kids. The food is great, the margaritas are on point! I came with the kids and the friendly staff brought out an activity book with crayons, while the kids waited for their food. Will definitely come back

Great little pub, everything you can expect at an Aussie pub. The winner here if you are a tequila fan like me, they have a very extensive selection... But it's next door at Condessa, which is also part of the Royal Hotel, hence the 5 stars.

Hola ! Condesa is the Royals new restaurant, and we have an absolute gem at one of our local pubs. The food is clean and fresh, everything you expect in a mexican restaurant, but done really well. Ceviche, nachos tacos, ancho chile octopus, enchiladas, mole, churros .. This isn't tex mex, or home taco kit, this is authentic, next level Mexican with a compliment of booze to match. Half a dozen mexican beers, Sangrias, Margaritas,Mojito, Caipirinha, and more in a number of different twists .. sensational. The cocktails, and all the food was reasonably priced too, with 4 entree's, 4 mains, and a couple of delightful desserts along with copious alcohol averaging out at 70/head ( a lot of that was cocktails tbh :) ) I can only imagine this place, busy as it was for a cold weeknight, will go off in summer with the big glass opened to the street, and cocktails flowing. I can't wait to go back.

Hotel Royal has gone Mexican!! Great, not in decor or atmosphere which was a bit disappointing but the food is generously served. Before 7 there is the 2 for 1 taco deal. Having no Mexican atmosphere was confusing for a couple of our dining party who were looking for just a pub feed, both options should be available. Overall a great experience

Went in Hotel Royal met by the lovely young lady Morgan, behind the bar , we ordered drinks she took us to a table with menus. The meal we had was served quickly, and tasted as good as it looked. Would definitely rate the meal, the staff , and the lovely warm rolls served on a chilly Autumn evening. Job well done guys. Will be back

We spent our Friday night at the Hotel Royal after hearing such positive feedback from family and friends, it was amazing. We booked ahead of time which I'm glad we did as it was quite busy, however it did not effect the fast and friendly service. We were seen to immediately upon entry and our drinks order was taken very efficiently. For the night we ordered the Arancini to start which was absolutely phenomenal, the Crispy Atlantic Salmon as a main which was cooked absolutely perfectly and the Duck Breast which was by far the best Duck I have ever tasted. Overall my partner and I were more than impressed with our visit and will most definitely be recommending the Hotel Royal to our friends. Thank you to the Chef and staff at Hotel Royal for making our night memorable!

Its cold yet we are thirsty for a drink and some lunch we stumble onto this pub. Pokie lounge which was well attended and clean. Front bar was nice and compact but lots of space for customers. Parking for about 60 cars and a well stocked bottleshop. AND the greatest thing.... they have open fireplaces we were happy toasted customers eating from a simple pub menu with average prices very quickly. Staff were quick and professional and for myself and my friends we were pleased we found this pub. SUGGESTION: go there and enjoy a nice meal and drinks - this was an enjoyable experience.

Went there for dinner tonight. Have been going there for the past year 18mths. Nice food. Servings getting smaller and it is quite overpriced. Waitresses lovely and obliging. Waiter is getting worse. Perhaps because English is his second language........ He could do with a bit of retraining. This had become our place of choice in the last year but have been less and less enjoyable. Will we go there again. No. Plenty of other pubs around.

An eclectic menu catering to various tastes. The front bar always has a pint/schnitzel deal for $16 which I will often take up during Thursday/Friday night football. The main restaurant has recently had a menu change and has become Condesa Adelaide. It’s an authentic Mexican themed restaurant and I have heard good things from my Dad. I plan to check it out when back in Adelaide. I really appreciate that you can get a sophisticated menu or typical pub food in the front bar if preferred. This has been a meet up to watch footy with my mates and sometimes Dad for a few good years. However, the restaurant component should not be overlooked.

The front bar is what you would expect for a basic community pub. Plenty of tv's playing sport, the usual beers on tap and basic gambling facilities. The rest of the complex has pokies, a restaurant some function space and also a drive through bottle shop. Pre COVID there was quiz nights, live music and other stuff on the weekends.

We recently had my daughters 21st birthday at Hotel Royal. The young girl looking after the arrangements was friendly remembered my daughter's name suggested helpful things and even offered to go down to the balloon shop and bring up the decorations. The bar man was friendly and showed a genuine concern that the party was going well and my daughter was enjoying herself. On the night we felt that our party was special and private and not having to share the area with anyone else, I absolutely recommend the Hotel Royal, the place, the friendly and very helpful staff and the food which was great. I will book my next event there.

Nice food but definitely not value for money compared to other similar places 😯. Yes happy to give you more feedback. We had a chicken snitzel and beef salad. Neither was $22 value. And sauce for the snitzel was extra - a bit rich in price that is Hot chips was not a full serve would have hated to see what the $15 snitzel serving was like. AdelAide has amazing pubs and lots to choose from. Honestly the plate looked pretty miserable being served up. Would have been happy to pay $15.00 for what we had not $20 plus.
