Randomly stopped here for lunch a few weeks ago and absolutely loved this place. Great menu and prices, lovely layout and awesome staff esp Eloise and Harry! Multiple entrances to the big carpark as well. We've now been back several times and looking forward to trying everything on the menu 😃 Specials change regularly too!

Food is fantastic in general, steaks are perfectly cooked, schnitzels are good size, and the super salad is awesome. Burgers are only worth it, if you get the burger-n-cider special. The pumpkin gnocchi special today was a bit disappointing, as was expecting a bigger serving for the price paid.

A great accessible venue with a beach theme outdoors and bars all over. The clientele is questionable, a very young and very messy crowd so if you’re after a classy night, maybe rethink this venue.

Beautiful renovation but poor service. The service staff were very friendly but table service very slow. Only 15 people across 4 tables on Wednesday lunch time. Once meals were served at 1pm there was no other service provided. No offer of more drinks, coffee or dessert. Dishes remained on the table till 2.30. Meals were acceptable pub fare.

The renovations that have been done are really tastefull. The service is fast and efficient. Good selection of beers. My only criticism is the bar meal took a long time to come out and when it did I thought the amount of squid in the $22 salt and pepper squid was a disappointment with about 6 small strips of squid and mostly chips.

We had a wonderful light lunch with great food and service. The lovely waitress even made us a mocktail , which was her creation as there is none on drink list. She managed to keep up with the service with some help from a waiter. We had the delicious Duck spring rolls and Bao buns with pulled pork both served with Hoisin sauce. Both were very good. Mocktail fruity and very nice. Will be back.

Nice venue to meet up with friends over drinks and food. Stopped by on Friday 11 September. Had a pleasant light-hearted atmosphere with nice furnishings. Ordered a bottle of wine with the help of Eloise who was knowledgeable and professional. Later she came by where we were drinking and did a quality check on how we were doing. It was much appreciated since this is something that most establishments do not practice. Personable service left us feeling welcomed, so naturally we ordered another bottle. We definitely will return and from the pics on facebook, will try their menu items. Overall, the place was great, but it was the service that won us over. Thanks Eloise, you are the best.

The food was absolutely delicious and so well presented! We ordered cocktails that came with some dried flowers in them which gave them an amazing flavour and a really unique taste! I definitely recommend trying this place out, it's stunning and the food is great!

The serviettes are quite nice. Had a recent experience that was 30 minutes ago. My other patrons were quite disappointed. I mean we were rather intoxicated but... I don't know... I don't feel I have a leg to stand on... Because... You know... I'm drunk

Menu is interesting. Food is consistently good. Service is variable some staff really friendly and others less so. Wine list is good. I recently had a main course of Atlantic Salmon and soft shell crab from the specials menu. Lovely flavours and beautifully cooked and presented but a VERY SMALL meal. update from 5/12/17 the Maid has a new feel...it's now got a beach bar theme with a new outside area which used to be the car park and the theme extends inside into what used to be the two dining rooms. A small bar area on the right is now the dining room. Menu is still very interesting and the food is still good but it seems down market now in terms of atmosphere in the dining room. Probably more suited to the younger demographic!

Not bad for a few beers. Prices are good and meal sizes are good. It's not five stars as the staff are a bit slow, especially when busy, they get sidetracked and seem to get wrapped up with their own conversations.

I liked the vibe and the food and drink is great. Wide variety of canned beers and good selection on the taps.

Had lunch here and the Scotch fillet was absolutely delicious. Served with a carrot puree and mashed potatoes with seeded mustard. The chicken breastfeeding with mushroom risotto also was fantastic .The place is very cosy and elegant . My new favourite place to eat. Thanks heaps.

Staff and service are fantastic - always a smile and friendly demeanor. Might sound random but the parking is great, too. Usually hard to find decent parking options for a lot of inner-suburbs joints!

This is a gr8 pub. And the inland beach bar, yes beach bar, they create every year is awesome. Sand as far as the eye can see, protected from the wind. And cougars come out of the woodworkwoodwork... so Im told 😊. Plus the traditional pub area has great food, good prices and the friendliest staff. Definitely worth a visit

Came again since the last review for a work lunch. The schnitzel was quite good! And the staff was friendly and enthusiastic. Others meals looked pretty good too. Much better experience than last time. ————————————- Previous review- We waited 40 minutes for food, and the beef burger was smooshy garbage. Utter garbage. It was so bad I couldn’t even finish, that’s a first for me. Another friend ordered the same thing, and had the same response. This is the worst burger I’ve ever had, not just in Adelaide, ever. Afterward I had a stomach ache. It had the texture of being raw, but the color of being cooked. Service was also bad, I felt like I was somehow inconveniencing the girl I ordered from, like I was intruding by being there. It’s unusual for me to give a bad review, I usually just don’t bother. I left this place dissatisfied still hungry, with a loss of appetite.

A cool haven to escape the heat, although aircon was struggling a little, understandable in 43c. Mid week meant plenty of room to spread out, and not noisy. Bar staff friendly and helpful.

Disappointing night. 4-5 minutes to get a drink at the resteraunt bar due to lack of available staff. Porterhouse steak by appearance was perfectly cooked. Thanks chef, but very hard to eat. Bad cut of meat. Potatoes barely cooked, very starchie for all at our table of 12. The maid seems better suited to a night on the booze as opposed to food.

The Maid is one of my favourite hotels that we frequent often and we have eaten there on many occasions and would eat there again. The food is lovely and so are the staff. I found that The Maid and Magpie was by far the most welcoming venue in my area and the staff provide the best customer service by far. I would definitely recommend visiting The Maid!
