Staying in town for a few days here. Friends took us for dinner and it was fantastic! The food were well presented, look delicious, generous portion especially for the salad. Quick service and friendly staff. The place was clean and people are friendly. They must have a new chef now! We finished our meal instantly 😋😋😋😋 Highly recommend it! 👍👌

CHEFS KISS 💋. this place was amazing service was friendly and so so quick we got 2 mains and an entre in under 10 mins. The actual venue is nice and spacious plenty of seats and the atmosphere was lovely and relaxed. Cute little pokies room and lovely outdoor and indoor seating for eating. The food was so much better than we expected (where we are from the tavern food a is pretty under average pub feed) but this place had a great menu selection bit of pub and a bit of fine dinning too. The was delicious perfectly cooked. The servings were generous and the pricing was awesome not too expensive which was great. Honestly would expect to pay more for food like this. Would definitely recommend for a chill night out or passing through for dinner.

If I could vote more stars I would. Absolutely perfect at the Tavern. The customer service of all the bar and bistro staff was professional and courteous. Our meal were came out so quick, which really catered for my children. Our meals from the entrees to mains were the best meals we have had in a very long time. Great food! Most of the staff were friendly and polite. Was rushed a bit for an alleged group of 20 people in an area that was marked as a maximum of 15 due to restrictions so we ate as fast as we could to move on per the staff instructions only to be told after 7pm that they were going to be at least another 20mins so all of a sudden no rush. COVID-19 restriction mess aside, I'd go back. The pumpkin salad with chicken was amazing, as was the grilled barramundi.

We went there on Origin Sunday and they were as expected super busy but the staff handled it quite well. It will be good when they can get a few more screens outside to handle this kind of event. Came here once before a little while ago and it was amazing. Fast forward to today, drove an hour and a half just to come here for dinner and it was well worth it. The staff are amazing, the locals are friendly, and the food is to die for - I'd happily pay twice as much for the quality. Would happily drive 3 hours round-trip again just for a feed. Special note: Paul's service was excellent. Highly recommend, honestly my new favourite place.

Excellent venue, welcoming staff. The food was amazing. I had mushroom risotto with prawns and it was the best I've ever had! The kids loved running around out the back. The only that wasn't great was the glass of orange juice we bought for 1 of the kids. It was watered down and not nice at all. Once the meals came out, we forgot all about it though. Great place!

Game 3 State of Origin; a blackout 5.40pm and a big croud in!! The hotel provided a fantastic service. For around 15 minutes you could only buy drinks with cash & you couldn't order food, and when the power returned their kitchen was swamped with customers lining up out the door. The line moved fairly quickly, it took us 10 minutes to order, the staff weren't stressed, the food started coming and it was beautiful. It could have been disastrous but the beer was cold, the food great, the staff lovely & QLD won!!! Well done Agnes Water .. Congrats to the team.... .a good night.

The customer service was absolutely astonishing, everybody there was easy to talk to an super nice!! Although my friend had the garlic prawns and me and my friends tried his prawns and they didn't taste great at all, I do kinda feel a bit sick after eating it. Could not praise this place more. The place we were going to go to for dinner fell through (now glad it did) so went here understanding they probably could not fit us in. Especially when we saw they had a function of 140 on! However, the lovely man who seemed to be managing the area (Paul I think his name was, sorry I even tried to make mental note to remember!) promptly cleared a table and fit us in with such polite, personable and professional service and communicated wait times. I cannot commend him enough! (After a rude AF old woman jumped the queue Infront of us, but he wasn't to know 😊) Food was good and came out in a timely manner, faster than we expected for such a busy night! Visiting Agnes for a week and who could not go to the local pub! Staff were really nice as I didn’t make a booking but they had a few spare tables available. I ordered the pork belly dish.... It was Amazing!! The crispy skin was perfect the meat full of flavour and moist, mash was creamy, apple sauce delicious and sweet potato skin fries were the perfect surprise. I highly recommend this place, the chef should be extremely proud!!

We dined at The Tavern lastnight as visiting holiday guest for our daughter birthday and it was amazing! We had read some mixed reviews but were definately not dissapointed in the least. The staff were lovely and very accommodating from start to finish and the food was abdolutely amazing!! Between us all we had the Ribs, pork belly, chicken royal and Parmi in addition to several of the desserts it was the best dining experience we have had for quite some time. Thank you for a lovely night. We will definately return again when we are back in town.

Our experience here was definitely a positive one. All staff were happy and polite. Didn’t have to wait long at all to be served at the bar. We sat out in the beer garden under the fairy lights. Menu choices and food was great, but if you make a booking, I strongly suggest you call a few hours later and confirm booking. I made a booking, but when we arrived, we were in the book, but no table had been reserved. We were lucky there was one spare table.

The pub is awesome and the food was great, nice atmosphere!! The woman serving at the bar however was not very nice. No one was signing people in, so we filled out a form for each of us, the woman at the bar asked for them, then replied very nastily that we only need to fill out one per family because we live with each other. I replied with ok, but everywhere we have been to has asked for each person's details ****yes even the kids, which I agree shouldn't be necessary*** She ignored me!! I then asked nicely for 2 beers and she literally threw the eftpos machine at me and a pencil went flying across the bar. She obviously didn't want to be there on a Sunday, but there's no need to treat people like they are garbage. We only dined there because it was my Birthday and our tour got cancelled.... Yes she just made my day!! No one was there to sign us out either, no one was bothering with it from what I could see.

Great place! It was quite busy for dinner (long weekend) and it took probably 30 minutes to wait in line to order the food. Classic bar food, good variety of drinks, very clean and lovely bar staff. Theres a couple of pool tables which are not too expensive ($2AUD at time of writing this review). The drinks prices are reasonable. The food menu could be a little larger but it suits the environment. Upbeat atmosphere. Lots of seating options (both indoors and outdoors)

Unlike Rod's review (note: one review & negative) I found the staff nice and the beer cold. Had a sneaky beer and a pineapple in the pokies ($250 return... Nice). Then went through the drive through and got a carton of beers to celebrate my rare pokie result. Great covered area. Stopped back in on Saturday evening with friends for dinner. It was epically busy. The two gorgeous ladies who served us 2nite were lovely, so polite and super friendly. Ordered garlic bread and brushetta for starters.. and yummy did not disappoint. Courtesy bus picked up up. Meals were ok. Drinks prices not the cheapest . Waiting for the band to start. The bar staff have no idea of customer service. When you walk up to the bar it's like an inconvenience for them to serve you because they're to busy talking or looking at their phone. They leave the rear door open which let's in all the smoke grrr .

Ate dinner twice during our stay. Massive pub. Huge outdoor deck with landscaped palms and garden with barrel tables and stools, dark wood. Inside air con, 2 snooker tables, tall bench tables. A long bar. Ubiquitous KENO sport tv etc. Large bright restaurant with daily $15 special. Mondays is pork chops. Tuesdays is fish and chips. Is run well and it shows. Friendly staff.
