The food was great. Very family friendly and a great place for adults to catch up have a drink and feed. Would highly recommend the bar buns with Korean chicken they were an absolute highlight. The pizza was also great. And the burgers are giant! Just so you know the burger in the picture is the kids one, the adult ones are about twice as big. Recommend this place to any families or people looking for tasty food, low prices and drinks.

FOOD & DRINK The Brunswick is part of the ALH Group, whose stable includes the Indooroopilly Hotel, the Newmarket, the Morrison and many other pubs around Brisbane. We’ve dined at a number of them and always found the standards to be consistently high. We’ve never been disappointed at an ALH Hotel, and the Brunswick was no exception. My wife and I dined on a quiet Sun night. We started with the beer special, a schooner of Great Northern Super Crisp at $6, and a glass of Prosecco ($8). Great way to start the evening. As seniors, we were able to avail ourselves of the discounted seniors menu. For entree, we choose the calamari, with chips, salad, lemon and aioli. It was delicious and chewy, and came with a generous serve of crunchy chips and salad. For our main meals, we both chose the 250g rump steaks with pepper sauce for me and mushroom sauce for my wife. Unbeatable value at just $16. Steaks were beautifully prepared and well cooked just the way we like them, but still tender and full of flavour. Steaks come with a choice of two sides, I chose chips and caesar salad, my wife went for the garden salad and mash. It was all perfect and we thoroughly enjoyed our meals, so thanks to the hardworking chefs. We couldn’t have been happier. For dessert, our all-time fav, the sticky date pud at the reasonable price of $8. The pud was sweet and moist, and came with fresh cream, a dollop of ice cream and finely sliced strawberry to top it off. Perfect way to end a fine meal. AMBIENCE We both loved the relaxed, casual, laid back ambience of this place. The bistro space is large, spacious and airy with stylish, trendy decor and comfy chairs. It’s carpeted throughout with colourful artwork on the walls and low mood lighting to give it a perfect atmosphere. It’s the kind of place that you’ll feel happy to be in. On the night that we dined, it was fairly quiet, just a smattering of other diners, but that added to the calm and unhurried vibe. Acoustics were good and we were easily able to converse. SERVICE Our server, Morgan, was neatly turned out in a smart white serving jacket. She greeted us warmly and throughout the evening, she was friendly, efficient and attentive. Orders were promptly taken and drinks came out quickly, followed by the entrees and shortly after that, the main courses and then dessert. We arrived at around 6.00pm, by 7.30pm we were done, and that’s just how we like it. There’s also the option for electronic ordering, using a barcode affixed to a little disc on your table, but being a quiet eve, we found ordering with the waitress the easier way to go. TOILETS The toilets are sparkling clean, modern and well provisioned. They look pretty new too, or recently renovated, with ample male and female cubicles, strong lighting, rows of shiny basins and fast hand dryers. They’re well signposted and easy to find just behind the bistro. COST Taking advantage of the seniors' menu, we paid a modest $74 for two glasses of wine, a schooner of beer, an entree, two main courses and dessert. That’s outstanding value for money when you think that a humble cup of coffee now sets you back almost 5 pesos, so thanks to the ALH Hotel Group for this generous initiative to help out long suffering seniors. PARKING We found easy street parking on Brunswick St, opposite the hotel, where there were no weekend or after hours restrictions. The hotel also has its own car park, which you can access via Brunswick or Kent Streets. SUMMARY We had a fab evening and everything ran smoothly. Food was outstanding and served in generous portions. The cool ambience is perfect for a relaxing meal with family and friends. Service was efficient and polite. Add to that, clean and modern toilets, free parking and modest prices and you have an ideal evening out. They have poker machines too, if you want to have a little flutter after your meal. Thanks guys, we will definitely be back!

Popped in tonight for a late night drink and was surprised to find what a great venue the Brunswick has become. There is certainly lots of space with a couple of different bars and really friendly staff. We really enjoyed the outdoor venue with a bit of greenery. They is also a small area with a streetscape, then upstairs there was another terrific indoor bar area with stools and tables. And yes worth a mention, some really great toilet facilities! There is also poker poker machine faculties. The downstairs bar featured shelves loaded with bottles of gin, vodka, various whiskies and even some Japanese style unique bottles of spirits. It's a really great atmosphere at this hotel with lots of different areas to spend time enjoying depending on whether you're just a couple or a group of friends. There are some great old paintings and photographs of the Brisbane area and the hotel on the walls which really add to the feeling of nostalgia in the venue. See photos. The decor is modern and fits the Brisbane/ New Farm vibe. Open until 11.30pm on a Thursday, so if you're out and about when other venues in New Farm are closed, this is the place!.... we will return.

After another venue cancelled our friends event with 3 days notice and no explanation, the Brunswick hotel came to the rescue. They put on a stellar event. We all felt very welcome, the drinks and catering package was exceptional as was the friendly service. Came here on recommendation of our friends. So glad we did. Great food in nice surroundings of the Garden Bar. I had the Thai Beef salad which was delicious. The Beef was a generous piece of steak cut into slivers on top of the salad. Great value. Highly recommended.

The food is good but not a good place to watch any sport. The tv outside has a massive glare on it and the sound system is average. The tv in the main bar is super blurry (definitely not HD) and has no sound system so hard to hear at full volume when there are people in the bar.

I usually don’t write reviews, but sometimes you have to make an exception! What an unexpectedly delightful experience! A quick Friday afternoon beer and flutter on the pokies is always good, but the service of Jake and Ashliegh made it so much better! Their service was prompt and professional, their personalities were warm and welcoming and I honestly can’t remember the last time I enjoyed a Friday afternoon outing as much as I did today! Although I didn’t win anything on the pokies, I walked away from the experience feeling like I had hit the jackpot. Thank you to the whole team for making my day!

Recently we held a combined birthday party at this venue and we can not recommend the venue highly enough. The staff here are friendly, efficient and always willing to go above and beyond to make your experience worthwhile and enjoyable. The function co-ordinator was very professional and willing to help with all our requirements for our function. We often attend this venue during the week for meals and a relaxing drink to wind down and have always been treated well by all staff there. Quality of food is excellent and prices are good. The beer garden here is a very relaxing space filled with colour by use of potted plants, making the area a bright and relaxing place to enjoy a typical Brisbane sunny day. Excellent venue and excellent staff.

We've held our work Christmas party here two years in a row and plan on having our 3rd here next year, if we're lucky! Both event organisers we had over the two years were super helpful, patient, available, and responsive. The package we get is incredible bang for your buck. We were in the beer garden last year, and the ambience is laid back and cool. The plan this year was the same location, but due to rain ended up inside. Though not as lovely as outdoors (though I am an outdoors type off person), it was still a good time. All staff both years were extremely friendly and professional. We never had to wait for a drink and plenty of nibbles in the package. I can't fault staff/place/ location/package. Thanks, guys! See you next year!

Saturday lunch with my husband. Sat in the quiet outside beer garden. Excellent service from the friendly bar tender who also took our lunch order. "Hard to beat steak salad" and chefs special "Brunswick Hawaiian Parmy" OMG they were good. So much food perfectly cooked. Highly recommended. We will be back.

From assisting with all of the organisation, menu planning, entertainment and all the way down to the finer details, like finding fresh flowers that match our team colours.. everything is always absolutely perfect, the food is amazing, the space is great and the service outstanding! A paradise in the city. Great stylist hotel, great choice of hard liquor to choose from. Great to see. My chicky babe had the best coffee. It was how a coffee should taste. (She is sick of burn flavours in her coffee). The manager on duty made the best mocktail. Skill and love were evident. She asked me what style I would like! So with a smile on my face I said "how about sweet and sour." Perfect use of fresh citrus and pineapple juice. True professional and fun environment. Can not wait to come back.

My second meal today, lunch was the eye fillet steak with Caesar salad and hasselback potato. It really filled the spot. Dinner was recommended by the staff- the chicken breast supreme stuffed with pesto cream cheese- succulent and so yummy! The accompanying salad was delicious. Attentive, friendly staff. There’s a popular outside bar and the attached BWS liquor shop had a wide range of top quality wines too. Sorry, I’m normally hungry so tend to eat the food, rather than take photos, but the plating is spot on. Well worth a visit!

Great place to have your party. We had my wife's birthday there. The price was very reasonable, function area had plenty of room and they were very flexible with how we could set the room up and decorate. On the night Ryan and Jess looked after us very well from helping with the decorations to participating in the games we had organised and allowing our own music for a while. Food platters were good too. Location is central for those that wanted to party on in the city.

The mashed potato was soft and nice without being greasy. The vegetables were cooked seriously well. They were crunchy but cooked enough to make them tender.
