S. B.Spent new year's at the bull and barley with some friends. What a beautiful clean pub. Food was amazing and great menu with so much to choose from. But what makes this place special is the locals are such a lovely bunch of people. So many laughs had with them all. The owner Bruce was a gentlemen with a very warm welcome. Will definitely be back

C. R.Took friends who were visiting and we all loved our lunch. It was packed but managed to get some stools and eat along the rail on the beautiful veranda. The most beautiful pub immaculate and the staff were great, very obliging. Enjoyed it immensely, value for money, food was great and beer was ice cold. Great day out and only 10 minutes from Westbrook. 🤩

S. C.What a wonderful pub for Saturday lunch. Turned up at 1.30pm today to a packed house but found a table on the balcony outside. Cold beers, great service and an excellent pie & mash and steak sandwich. Highly recommended.
D. K.Hubby, our mate from down south and myself booked 2 rooms. They were terrific. Spotless, comfortable bed, extra pillows. Our double room led straight out to the verandah. Continental breakfast comes with the stay. Facilities I.e. the shower rooms and bathrooms were clean with extra towels if needed. Breakfast nook had everything you could need. Cereals, choice of bottled juices, toaster, kettle, tea, coffee, and all the crockery and cutlery you could need. We had dinner there. The food was delicious. What a menu! No shortage of choices. It's a Hotel, so beverages were close to hand. So happy with the service. Friendly and warm wait staff. Very accommodating. Bar staff were friendly and efficient. Our stay was great. We think the charges were fair. The prices if food and drinks on par with most other hospitality venues. The building itself is amazing. The work ethic and personalities of all the staff, not forgetting for one moment the very hard working cleaning lady we met. Thank you all so much for making our stay memorable. D. R.I have been regularly visiting this hotel for over 10 years now. Eat there 2-3 times a week sometimes more. Never had a bad meal.....NEVER. Some people are just professional whingers. Blind Freddy can see they are the minority though. City slickers for sure. I enjoy being around salt of the earth Aussies more than trying to be a food critic. The beautifully renovated building, country atmosphere, .......vibe, that’s it, the VIBE, override anything there is to complain about, EVERYTIME ! Priceless.

Our most recent visit was Australia Day 2019 and even though the Bull and Barley was busy as hell , the meals came quickly and were great as usual . T. R.It's a modern, delightful pub with classy service, and spot-on fresh food. Cambooya is a relatively small town, but this is one darn good pub! No wonder we only managed to nab the last table for two :) The barramundi was fresh and the vegies well -cooked, and the atmosphere was lively. 5 stars!

One of the beat steaks that I have eaten, but the portion was so big that most of the chips on the side remained! B. W.This is a wonderful place to have a meal. Though to many the prleices may appear a bit on the high side but the size of a serving compensates for that. The outdoors seating is the type to dream of. There are signs telling you NO dogs allowed at the table's but when we were there at the weekend people had two dogs and tied them to a sign post next to the tables no action taken by staff even after others complained. The wifes garlic prawns was a good size but was cold.

P. B.I visited the Bull & Barley Inn twice in a week while doing some motorcycle tourism. It is a beautifully maintained/renovated old pub that stands out from the rest of a fairly average Australian country town. Parking and access are easy but a wheelchair accessible toilet is NOT available. The airconditioning is welcome and effective, the meals are large but just reasonable for the price. If you're travelling some distance to get here, it may be wise to book at mealtimes as it is a popular spot for groups and would be pretty busy on weekends.

J. A.The Bull & Barley is nicely presented, and tries its best to be a typical country pub. The meals, whilst very nicely arranged, were overcooked and took their time to arrive despite the low patronage when I visited. They weren't cheap either; some are nudging the $30 mark when many other pubs in the area offer the same meal for much less. What probably turned me off the most was when what appeared to be farm hands were at the bar, several clearly intoxicated, and the bartender kept serving, causing them to become louder and more obnoxious as time went on. The bartender, however, was very friendly and efficient. Drink prices were on the upper end of what I'd call acceptable, and once some of the drunk farm hands started ripping their kit off... it was time to leave! Perhaps I visited during the auditions for "who wants to be a bogan"? Will try again sometime to give the guys a second chance though.
