I'd give 6/5 stars if I could. I love everything about Dr Gimlette. The bar is breathtakingly beautiful, posh, classy and elegant. The marble bar, the chandeliers, the leather seats add to the luxurious yet homey vibe and the relaxed ambience of the bar. Delicious cocktails 🥃🍸🍹 and fantastic service. The staff were friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. The best bar in Brisbane city (together with Death & Taxes) 😁

We had the most sensational afternoon at Dr Gimlette today. We sampled at least half the cocktail menu. The staff looking after us were sensational. Thank you to Maddi (Allison Hargreaves😉) for the excellent service and also spending the time to check on us to see if the selection of cocktails was meeting our expectations. What a great day! Located on Edward Street in the city, this lovely bar let's you step away for the hustle and bustle of the city, to thoroughly enjoy some great cocktails in a relaxed environment. There is a great collection of cocktails to choose from or the friendly and knowledgeable bar staff are more than happy to assist. This is definitely a must have place to visit.

Would give this place a 6 star review if I could. This just opened and I have no doubt there will be big queues out the front of here once the word gets out. Absolutely amazing place. Just opened, so am feeling lucky to visit in the second week of opening. It looks and feels like something out of a movie set. 100 percent from me. Only negative is the toilets are a bit tricky to find, they are new and clean but downstairs, outside, round the corner and then downstairs a bit more.. But don't let that put you off checking it out. Not sure exactly why it has an unusual name, but I guess I will find out . Gary

Nice location and atmosphere. From the other reviews and from the people we saw inside, it seemed like a place with a good vibe. It's great that it's hidden in plain site right in the city centre. Only one small negative thing: one staff member that was a bit rude and kind of slammed our drinks down on the table when placing it in front of us. They seemed a bit stressed so I'm presuming they had a bad day.

This place is honestly stunning. The atmosphere with its lighting and music is off the walls and the staff are super knowledgeable about their stuff. It doesn’t hurt that the drinks are complex and taste awesome. Plus hey, it’s reasonably priced. Shout out to Rhys for great service.

We found this bar from just waking past on our way to the movies. We stopped in after to check it out. And soo so glad we did.. honestly we were just expecting a normal bar to grab a drink and chat... but this was an entire experience on its own. Even before we got through the front door, the quirky doorman/security guy set the tone and we realised that this is more than just a bar... We were greeted upon entry by bar staff and seated. We dont know a lot about cocktails and honestly it was probably a bit out of our league.. But all the same we were made to feel welcome and had an amazing time. We tried a few different cocktails and were wowed with the precision and effort that went into the making and presentation of drinks here. This is a MUST VISIT hands down one of the best bars in Brisbane City. Many thanks to the staff and that wonderful kooky guy at the front door. We have already made plans to bring friends back. See you soon.

Great new bar, tried a couple of their batched cocktails (the Tommy Hagan and the Starlet) which were excellent! The Tommy Hagan especially :)) Really nice vibe, too ☺️ For the bar: Noticed a bartender making a gin and tonic in a way that really didn’t preserve the fizz - take a look at the book Liquid Intelligence (right underneath the Koval and 1776) for a simple method that’s a lot better!!

The experience was awesome!! Jacob helped me with some drinks and figuring out what I wanted, ended up with the club clover and cable car which I’ve never heard of and now I will forever thank him cause those drinks are really good. Max also served us very well to begin with which I appreciate. Coming from a small town to the big city these guys really do show you the ellegant but relaxing vibe of the city for sure!!

Absolutely definitely one of Brizzie's best bars. just opened.. Great gin, stunning atmosphere, at ground floor of the historic Metro arts building at the glitzy edward Street . Sensational background music, what more can I say .. just go there.. drinks a bit pricey maybe ,,??
