L. A.Best pub in Brisbane I reckon! Good beer with crafty taps, bloody good whiskey with great prices, pool tables and dope pub feed. What's not to like?
v. s.A great upmarket hotel in the Fortitude valley area! Great food & drinks are very reasonable! Friendly service always has been provided by the staff of the hotel! Wheelchair access to the hotel is available!Passing everyday I noticed the Jameson sign! I thought It had an i in it so I talked my boyfriend shoes surname is Jamieson to have a drink & take a photo under the sign! We tried out the Margarita beer! $8.00 A schooner & $10.00 for a pint! Excellent music & on the bar are little polaroids of customers & old copies of great rolling stone magazines all along the awesome bar! An Irish redhead barmaid was very helpful & friendly! We thanked her for the excellent experience!♥️♥️♥️🍹🍺🍻🍷🎉🎸🎼🎻🥁🎤🎙📯😊♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
F. F.Our Zoomo Team had a send-off to our team lead in this wonderful establishment. The food will give you generous portions of meat and side dishes, the drinks are awesome and there is a pool where everyone can play. The boys absolute favourite is the chicken parmi. Staff are amazing and wonderful too.

Z. S.You can’t go wrong at the Empire hotel! Come here during the day for lunch and a quiet drink or two or have the wildest night in your dreams with your friends! I have fond memories from back in the day when moon bar was open upstairs. It definitely is an iconic Brisbane bar in the heart of the valley. Elle will make sure you are looked after and your drink is always full and with the amazing array of beers on tap and amazing cocktail list you won’t have any trouble deciding on a drop to indulge in. Big shout out to some amazing nights at Tranny Bingo here too...this place has it all for good times with great friends.

A. W.Nice place that retains its historic charms and rustic interiors. It has a wide selection of cocktails, beers and spirits for alcohol lovers. They have an extensive list of rums as well. Food is not bad, though the juicy rotisserie chicken can be less saltier then it would great. Nice music and friendly staffs as well. As of writing, UQU members get 25% off all food items.
Like any other nearby establishments in Fortitude Valley, parking can be a bit of concern, so catching public transport or a cab would be wise options.
D. M.Great atmosphere with a lot of space and things to do (e.g., pool). All major credit cards accepted (Visa, Mastercard, American Express (AMEX) without any ridiculous surcharges :) Excellent, knowledgable bartenders making good drinks. The food, however, is average at best. It's an overall great place to spend time with your mates and have a few drinks while hanging out in the valley.
L. L.During the week this is a nice place to catch up for a meal over some drinks. Generous sized booths with an olde world /industrial charm, pool tables, meals and a great selection of drinks. An eclectic mix of people add to the unique ambience of the place. Service is always a little on the slow side so if you're into snappy service you may not enjoy the relaxed pace of the place. On weekends this place is pretty lively with a Gen Y crowd.
K. P.Great atmosphere, cheap drinks at Happy Hour, clean bathrooms, and convenient location. The staff are friendly too! My new favourite bar. Although sometimes the music is a bit too loud which can make it hard to talk with your friends.

A. B.The Empire Hotel is a nice time. The atmosphere is a blend of classic and edgy. They have these beautiful big booth style seats, so it's perfect for big groups. (It's a great spot if you have to pick a place for an office lunch).
The food quality is pretty much what you'd expect from a pub. Since the price is so reasonable, you feel like you got what you paid for. They have specials for each day and a $10 burger special every day. That's hard to beat.
It's beautifully air-conditioned, usually they have some sport on the TV and they play old school music. What's not to like?

However the bloke with long hair who seemed to be doing the sound check for the band's was extremely rude and ignorant when asked questions about what bands were playing. The emcee was great and made us feel so welcome, he was fantastic, even recommended the espresso martini on offer which was amazing. The girl behind the bar was nice but extremely stand offish when asked questions about drinks deals. The food was fantastic (the rottisorie chicken was to die for) , would come again just for this and the emcee (I think his name was locky)
j. s.They've managed to do social distancing quite well without ruining the vibe too much. Emptier than usual of course but the staff were great and everyone seemed on board with trying to make sure it was as easy as possible for everyone to run a business and have a good night out.
S. W.Once a week we play chess here during the day, a small club catch up. I've only been here at lunch time and it's really quite lovely. Friendly and personable staff, good food menu and beer range, very good prices. Plenty of spaces for groups to do their own thing.

M. R.Really love this pub. Pub is really not a good enough word for The Empire - after a few incarnations during my last 15 or-so years in Brisbane it never disappoints.
Popped in the other day 'cause I was really 'over' my normal hangouts. The Empire has always been a fave spot when i'm on that side of the Brunswick street mall.
As happy as I had been before now to enjoy it, I was super impressed with the latest reno (which may not have been so recent - it's been a while since I've checked it out).
Lots of timber, good outdoor seating for smokers. Nice long bar staffed by pleasant, attentive girls and guys.
But the kicker (or two) was the stage/platform set up for live music. For that reason alone I'm gonna keep an eye on the gig guides. The other - stools that sit nicely on the floor. Not unbalanced like a drunken rocking horse !! Then it occurred to me that I shouldn't have expected any less from a venue that has pleasing it's customer as a motivator.
