Our lunch today was absolutely delicious. My family thoroughly enjoyed the seafood buffet. The staff were so friendly and helpful. I recommend coming to the Forest Lake Tavern for Christmas lunch. You won’t regret it.

Took our Dad to Forest Lake Tavern for his 90th birthday recently and it was lovely. The staff and the food were great, and the lovely waiters organised a surprise little cake and candles for our Dad. He really enjoyed the night and so did we. Food was great and delicious, staff are friendly. The only thing need to improve inside the dining area is the aircon vents please clean your aircon vents as they are lots of moulds around the vents and that's awful to look at and we sat down on the table water from the condensation of the aircon was dropping to our table and into our food that's awful and when we look at the vents wow moulds are everywhere on the vents. Where is work health and safety inspection ???it can make other people who are very sensitive, really give them bad allergy reaction. Please be hygienic...for the sake of others and to your business itself.

I only ever have steak here ( any pub fir that matter ) they are cooked over actual flames charcoal and very tasty, sauces are allway decent and good amount , chips are allways fresh , salad is good as well but way to small couple mouthfuls salads gone that would be my only complaint, I’ve eaten a quite a few pubs around Queensland since moving here gotta say chefs here do a good job never had a bad meal yet 😊

Had a great meal here, the rest of the family also enjoyed there meals. Will definitely be back.

Forest lake tavern was perfect for the event. had wine on entry with a three course meal and the stuff were accommodating to our needs. Besides the steak not being to my liking. Medium rear not well done. I had a good night.

Sometimes you find a place where all the staff are on board and deliver great service. I’ve been to many taverns around the area and I can safely say these guys get it right. Friendly, want to help, considerate of families with kids and genuinely happy to be on shift. Happy place to be with professional service. Ace job

We went here recently and frankly I was disappointed. The at table ordering system isn't intuitive which resulted in us ordering two steaks with just mashed potatoes and no other vegetables (turns out you have to order each side individually). Two of the three drinks ordered arrived but I had to go chase up the third which had somehow been forgotten. This could be forgiven if they were extremely busy, but they weren't. This was my second visit and unfortunately it was no better than the first which I was really hoping it would be.

OMG the Chicken Parmesan OMG LOVED IT ❤ Who dosent love Chicken? Meal was Amazing, Chicken parmesan with salad & chips only way to have it, oh & a serve of gravey. Chicken was a beautiful piece of breast. A very large portion great value for your money. Cooked to perfection not too dry just Perfect. Salad was your normal greens, onion, tomato with a perfect drizzle of dressing & very nice complimentary dressing, tasted very refreshing, plus a generous potion of chips. OMG an Awesome lunch ❤

Had mother's Day dinner here Sunday evening and the Steak was cooked beyond perfection. Has me salivating as I write this. My husband and I were in for lunch today; it's so nice to see such a happy work environment which flowed through the great customer service! All the staff were super friendly and welcoming. My husband ordered the pumpkin salad with chicken which was a very generous size and he loved it. I ordered a medium rare rib fillet which was cooked to perfection. The rib topper for my steak was missing but Jade had no trouble quickly fixing it and made it a really enjoyable dining experience. We will definitely be back and would 100% recommend to everyone we know!

Overall it was alright. Visited for lunch. Dishes were what'd you expect from a tavern. Service was what dragged the rating down as when we were ordering drinks the server wasn't very friendly and honestly a bit rude. 2/3 dishes we ordered were good. My fish was over cooked and dry. The calamari was also a bit disappointing.

A little on the pricey side but the steak I ordered was fantastic. Although it's not overly hard to cook a rare steak it surprises me how often it comes out overdone. Not here. Beautiful steak, the 200g eye fillet I ordered was $30 with chips, salad and sauce and worth it. Happy new year 🥳

We had to change venues at the last minute on Friday for our daughter's post baptismal party and Jade and the staff made us feel so welcomed and listened to! We hired one of the function rooms and the day turned out to be amazing with the food being a huge hit with our 70+ guests and these people are picky! Yet to find a better steak in Brissy...whatever magic sauce the steak chef has, it's amazing! The steaks are flame grilled, always done to perfection no matter what level you ask for. Worth a 45 minute drive just for the steak...but the other food is good too!

First time visiting here, in the area Ive just moved to. Great meals, great atmosphere. Great covid safe practices in place. Edit.... I have been here a few times since moving to the area, and there is a new chef and the food is deliecious. It would be nice if they had say a local singer on a Friday/Saturday or Sunday arvo, to bring in a bit of atmosphere and Im sure would bring more people in. But, Its a nice little tavern and I feel safe here if I come alone

10/10 my mrs and i went here for dinner tonight we had 1kg of chicken wings they were mouth watering i had ribs and rump steak soo bloody good and she didnt stop going on about the choc mud cake how good it was the whole way home. I've eaten here twice and the first night the staff were super friendly, the salt and pepper calamari was the best I've had in a very long time. Ribs fell off the bone. Pizza just drool worthy. On the weekend it was extremely busy but our meals still came in time and my mum enjoyed her rissoto ( she's hard to please) My stuffed lobster was quiet nice. I look forward to coming back and trying the pork belly! It looked amazing

It was an unfortunate start to the evening as we were advised that online bookings are never checked so we didn't immediately have a table ready for our booking. This was rectified quickly by a lovely girl named, Hayley I think. She got us a table and cleaned and set it for us. The meals were yummy, hot, a good size, and very reasonably priced. If you get a chance, have the tomato and onion bruschetta for your starter, it was delicious! Great meal and service but I suggest calling to book your table rather than booking online

I was so impressed with everything. My partner and I were married here on the 5th November. From the time we booked we experienced a level of service of the highest quality. The food was surprisingly good. However, portions were too small. I am a small 56kg woman and the spare ribs were not sufficient. Furthermore the salad was dripping in a sour vinaigrette... Too much salad dressing spoiled what could have been a nice salad. The mussels were yummy, but served only with 2 little slices of garlic bread - not enough as a main course for a fit yet slim man. Extra bread had to be ordered at an additional cost. I find the wine by the glass and the cocktails almost on par with city club prices, so not cheap or even reasonable. Handy location if you live close by, but can end up pricey if you're hungry and want a decent drop with your food.

Staff were very friendly and attentive. Greated us at the entrance & took us to our tables. Food came out quickly and tasted yum. Great value for money & so much on offer. A big thank you to the Forest Lake Tavern staff for their great customer service, every detail was taken care off and every request fulfilled. The staff really went beyond expectations for us. The food was delicious and served quickly. I have been to the Tavern before and that's why we chose to celebrate there but I had to comment on how friendly, helpful and pleasant everyone was. Forest lake hotel is a classy venue to visit. The restaurant is amazing from the food to the staff. Had a anniversary dinner there last week and the staff made sure it was a memorable night! Ordered a mega meat pizza and it was great value for the size of the pizza. Ordered the chocolate brownie for dessert to share with my partner and we loved it! Easy place to visit & get a fast meal. Kids love the play area & the tavern in general is fairly informal. Meals are reasonably priced & usually a good size too, which is the most important thing! My only criticism is that they are almost ALWAYS short-staffed... This tends to leave the staff more frazzled & rushed than they need to be & has resulted in errors with meal/drink orders on numerous occasions. This hasn't stopped me going back repeatedly tho, as thankfully, the staff are very apologetic & obliging when things do go wrong... But it would be so much better if this wasn't the case from the get go! 😁

Good little neighbourhood pub, has the usual restaurant, bar and pokies, they have recently renovated and it looks very presentable. The pork ribs were very nice. Parking is fairly easy to find and they have outdoor areas for small functions. There is also a kids playroom.

We ordered a garlic bread with our meal, disappointed when a flat cheese and garlic pizza came instead, angry when saw another table actually recieved garlic bread and not cheesy garlic pizza we did. My son liked his chicken, my garlic prawns in cream sauce a little dissapointing, cream couldnt coat the prawns and disappeared into the rice somewhere, prawns hadnt weathered the freezer too well. Dish said prawns in creamy sauce on bed of rice.

We chose Forest Lake Tavern as it was 'kid friendly' and on the website specifically claimed to have playstations. One Atari in working order does not constitute kid friendly on a busy Saturday night. Food was better than Monier Hotel, on par with Centenary Hotel. Staff friendly and professional.
