Comments of Gerard's Bar

Solid cocktails at a reasonable price with some good outdoor vibes.

Lots of unique combinations of flavour around middle east, but not enough bread, remember to order lots of laffa bread. Inspiring cocktail selections.
A. P.
Lots of outdoor seating, wonderful food and great service.
N. R.
Hidden gem - great cocktails and a lovely little food menu to go with it.
D. P.
Beautiful cocktails that are very balanced and smashable and friendly staff that knew exactly what kind of taste I was after from the get-go. They had a very impressive display of different liquors to suit any taste for sure. I look forward to dropping by again when I get the chance. Thank you for the service, guys. <3

Attentive service, great drinks and yummy food. Went to a small function here and everyone was definitely kept well fed with the food constantly coming out, and happy with the amazing service.

The cheeseburger is very yummy! Am eating through #brisbanesultimatefoodbucketlist and this is on the list! Friendly service.

If you're into your cocktails, or you're waiting for your reservation at the restaurant across the carpark, then why not try Gerard's Bar? The drinks are fresh, well balanced, and a little bit fancy.
Only minor observation would be that the cocktail menu does heavily favour gin, which might not be everyone's speed. A couple of simple rum or whisky cocktails might be worth adding to the menu.

Nice bar for a drink after work. The food selection is interesting and ones tried very tasty and enjoyable.

Best cocktails in Brisbane, great service, great vibes! Perfect first date spot or simply catching up with a friend 🥰

Great little bar to stop in after dinner in the valley/James St. (also perfect to migrate over after an excellent dinner at Gerard’s Bistro across the way). The bartenders here seem to really know their craft, and there are occasionally some truly interesting wines on the menu. We’ve never eaten here or sat at a table so can’t really speak to the quality of the food or wait service, but our experience here has been 100% positive every time we have gone.

We attended here for the Wednesday night Pasta night! The food was delicious however I was disappointed with my Braised Beef and Fettucine bowl. My serving on had 2 very small servings of the Braised Beef, hidden amongst an array of Fettucine. I know it is a cheap meal for $15, however I would have expected there to be a little more Beef provided.
All in all, quality of food is good here, however they are very light on with the servings. I doubt I will return.

The food is tasty but expensive for tiny portions. The ceiling leaks when it rains so several of my friends where getting wet constantly.

Delicious cocktails, great staff and good atmosphere!

A nice little bar tucked away behind James st. Atmosphere is nice considering it is in a car park, ambient music helps create a relaxed vibe. Wine list could use some work, I feel it needs more of a focus on Australian wines and less French influence. Need to add at least 1 more Chardonnay to the wine list, 1 isn’t enough. I don’t understand why Queensland is so obsessed with sauv Blanc ughhhh.

Good atmosphere, although the waitstaff were somewhat self absorbed. Very good food especially the cured meats.
Cocktails were disappointing, Tom Collins was flat even after I sent it back for a redo - is soda water really that difficult?
S. M.
Very nice staff who looked after us on both occasions we went here. The wine list is good, pricey but that's what you expect from the area. Lovely cheese but small portion.

Ordered a burger and wings expecting 4 or 5 wings, got a huge bowl of them and they were delicious. Lots of beers to choose from too. Stuffed myself silly for $30, would go again.

Classy bar just off James Street. Full range of beers, wines, spirits and cocktails. Dress code - business casual to cocktail
C. M.
Artisan Charcuteri, fancy Cheeses, original cocktails and reasonable prices. Wait staff are laid back and sometimes need to be called over but the atmosphere matches the service and the food speaks for itself!
H. L.
Nice quite place and food was ok we had a good night
S. P.
Great bar with fantastic ambiance. The prices are a bit on the steep side, but they can get you top shelf alcohol

I keep coming back! It's the perfect place for a week night catch up over wine and cheese. I also can't complain about a wagyu beef burger for $14!?? So good!

Amazing charcuterie nestled behind the Bistro and off the busier James St.
Almost overwhelming selection of meats and cheeses (50g portions, priced from ~$9), as well as Spanish preservas (anchovies, olives etc), terrine, pate and assortment of prepared dishes to choose from - thankfully the very helpful / knowledgeable staff will guide you through the process.
All serves come with a chunky serve of crisp baguette as well as house-made pickles.
Highlight of the meal in no particular order but recommend all three are - the mackerel tartare (comes with a side of showmanship when served), duck liver + PX pate (silky smooth, deep and rich flavour) as well as the unique and brilliantly executed vegan cold cuts (seasonal vegetables prepared in a way to mimic traditional cold cuts; mock cheese made from potato was phenomenal in taste and texture).

Average cocktails, wrong food order brought out. The space is somewhat visually appealing but the acoustics are horrible

This place had a limited ramen special that kickstarted my obsession for Wednesday night noodles with friends. I've never been back here but Anna was a fantastic waitress.
K. I.
Absolutely amazing food. The staff were friendly and attentive. Definetely recommend Gerards.
D. M.
Not a bad charcuterie place if you’re in the neighbourhood but can be a little loud because of the concrete floor etc. wouldn’t recommend travelling for it but if you’re around it’s a fine choice
