First time visitors. Found a table and ordered lunch easy enough. Girl serving us could of been a bit more friendlier. Food was great, would come back again.

A great choice instead of the Brekkie Creek. We were given a table basically in the car park; and had to line up to get our own drinks. Came down the road to the Hamilton instead. Dining room is spacious, can order both food and drink from the table. The food was served very fast, and was delicious. Drinks were cold. Service was friendly and professional. All you need for a catch up lunch at the pub with friends.

Local Hamilton pub. It has separated spaces for functions, dinning, drinks. Very nice staff. Affordable price. Very good location with easy access.

My family and I just had Christmas lunch at the HH and the service was so friendly and cheerful, the food was fresh and plentiful and the atmosphere was warm and happy. Thanks to the staff for giving up their Christmas Day with families and friends and for providing such great service!

Went for dinner the other night, and the food was fantastic, steak was cooked perfectly. I had order some BBQ prawns with the steak they were delicious, my only recommendation would be to serve the prawns pealed so that they would not have been as messy to deal with before eating due to the BBQ sauce. 5 Stars will be back again yummy!

Under rated pub the staff are always friendly and service is good compared to several other pubs in the neighbourhood. We mainly went for drinks so can’t talk about about the food. However, I was interested to eat there next time. So I might have edit this post once I do.

I was there for lunch on Wednesday. I got the cob loaf and the san choy bow. Both very flavoursome and great value for money. Male staff member in bistro had the best vibe. Happy at work, was great to see and this flowed onto his great service.

I held my 50th birthday in the H Lounge at the Hamilton Hotel. Cara organised my event & she couldn’t have been more accommodating. We couldn’t believe she stayed around all night to help with everything & nothing was too hard for her. The bar staff Emily & Oli were amazing and everyone commented on their fantastic service. Many party goers also commented on the quality of the food. We couldn’t have been happier & would highly recommend holding a big party here!

We hosted a 40th party on Saturday night in the River room, it was a great success and enjoyed by all, we just had 1 small complaint, 1 of our guests was not given a starter as she was unable to eat seafood and there was not enough of the beef starter, which we thought was strange as 5 of the invited guests did not arrive. We thank Cara for all her assistance, she was amazing. We would recommend The Hamilton and would use them again if another function is required.

I had a small funtion in the marquee area last Friday 23rd July, everything was just perfect, the area, the food, the staff & service. I organized everything with Cara via email she was very helpful and answered all of my questions. On our arrival on the night there were still a few things i wanted to organise like ordering some wines etc I was greeted by Yvonne she was amazing and did everything i required perfectly with no fuss. Everyone in the group commented on how good the food was so thanks to the kitchen, and also bar staff for all the cocktails. Everyone really enjoyrd the night. Would give 10 * if possible :)

We go to the Hamo most Thursday nights for a family meal. Great food, great service and Vonn is the best! Her service and attention to detail is amazing. Vonn gives first class service with a personal touch. She is a great anbassadore for the Hamo. Well done to the team there.

This was our first visit and won't be our last. We went for lunch on a hot day and loved the air con and cold beer. The meals were a good size and delicious. I had the steak burger (yum!) and my partner had the fish and chips. We were both full and content when we left.

I booked an event in the downstairs cocktail garden, and received the most amazing help from the events manager Yasmine. She went above and beyond to help and brought up every tiny detail I'd wondered over before I mentioned a thing. The timing of food, drinks, music was all perfectly worked out for me, and I arrived on the day to a perfectly flowing celebration. Yasmine made my experience with Hamilton Hotel so fantastic, I could not have been happier that afternoon.

Fun, friendly and cosy venue for live music. It's probably super convenient for northsiders but I'm from the southside, so I preferred to drive, and was delighted to find plenty of free car parking spaces. Bar staff were friendly and responsible – happy to tell me how many standard drinks were in a tap beer pour and encouraging guests to drink water as well.

Doing a renovation for seven weeks in Hamilton. At first l went back to Newstead were l am staying, showered and went to the Gasworks area restaurants. I didn't like any of them. I remembered eating at the Hamilton Hotel before and thought I will go straight there after work and eat Dinner then go home and shower. First night I feel in love with the whole set up. Good Food, good service, good desserts and a friendly relaxing vibe. For the last seven weeks I have eaten out here nearly every night. Mal the Head Chef is Awesome and the Waitresses are all friendly and helpful. Thanking you Ian Brown.

I had never really eaten at the hammo. Had just really gone there for drinks and concerts. Im so glad we made the decision to go there for a belated fathers day meal. We all had the eye fillet and Moreton Bay bug signature dish. The flavours were amazing and cooked to perfection. The housemade desserts (*apple crumble and brownie) were delicious. Every plate was scraped clean. Well done to Malcolm and his team.

This is a great place for a beautiful meal. It was a bit more expensive than I usually get, but it was worth it! We everything on our plates and even had dessert too! Great location, even with the road works right outside. The place is semi modern, spacious and has it all; TAB, pokies, bars and an indoor/outdoor bistro, all with a great atmosphere. The waitress' in the bistro were lovely, attentive without overcrowding our dinner party and the food was for the most part delicious; all of our steaks were undercooked somewhat but we ate them none the less and best of all, the pricing was pretty reasonable for what we got! I would definitely recommend checking it out and I'll most definitely be back :)

Large, open setting hotel. Has restaurant area close to the kids playground, which has a camera so you can check on the kids if you don’t get a table right next to the playground. This place is loaded with tables and is prepared for large groups. We have been many times with no need to book a table for 6 or more people! It gets busy, but the restaurant seems capable to get the meals out in good time. Also has a good menu!

Went with friends for dinner and show. It has been years since I have been to the Hamilton hotel. The hotel has had major renovations and it looks very nice. The meal was a set 2 course dinner. Chicken or salmon steaks with 2 desserts.Every one had a lovely meal. The waiters had some problems serving the back table area but they coped. The show was upstairs. Stairs only. Long performance area and bar. The show was excellent. Sara Storer. Excellent views and intimate setting. Sound production was fantastic. Only one thing that Sara shook off with a humorous glance. Male and female facilities are to the side of performance seating. Towards the end of the show, the male facility was getting full use no doubt due to the wine and beer consumed. Otherwise a fantastic night. Will keep my eyes open for another event there!!!

Steak sandwiches were not bad, but the casual dining area desperately needs a revamp. Tables were old, worn and dirty looking. We saw the sign to say we should wait to be seated, and it took a while with several staff members passing us (and us making eye contact with them) for them to actually seat us. With okay food and very average decor I don't think we will rush back.

Lovely venue with friendly staff.. Classic pub meals available with some delicious offerings. Menu was a little overpriced for a pub but not unexpected given the location. Was a little disappointed at the overall cleanliness.. sticky tables and bar, bathrooms not so great when I visited on a on busy Thursday night but overall a good night out

Very good steak! I had the Wagyu Rump. The chips were also great, in the future I might opt for something else than the ceaser salad on the side though. We ate at the bistro. We have eaten here before and it's been OK. This time not so good. 2 friends we were with had the barramundi with chips and salad. It was not good. The batter was hard and had an unusual taste. The fish itself was dry and had no taste at all. It was very disappointing. The entree of Turkish bread with oil and dakah was great as was the garlic bread. The beef cheeks were OK although a little fatty. I wouldn't recommend the fish.

We were lucky to visit on a Thursday night, which they have $10 off for all steaks. I ordered the Graziers Porterhouse cooked to medium rare, and it was lovely! The portion is big and they have large screens that streams live sports. Great beers and liquors are at their bat as well.

Bar staff very friendly and fast. If you are looking for an alternative to brekky creek try here, almost identical menu and much better service.

It was moist and tender inside and the crumb was golden and crispy. the beer smell hits you in the face if you enter through the main bar area, but the bistro is nice and the staff were friendly. there is an upstairs function area which is a bit larger than a tennis court

I haven’t been to a pub that has so many vegan and vegetarian options, which I really admire. So, if you are looking for a place to take your family that has both meat and vego options, this is a good place. However, I found my meal (eggplant parm) to be undercooked and a little underwhelming.

They will willingly order you an Orange cab and very nice layout and good choice of soft and alcoholic drinks.A gambling room with slot machines is in a large area adjacent to bar and drinks/snacks area.Well worth visiting. I LOVE IT!! I AM A REGULAR HERE AS ITS ONE OF MY LOCAL HAUNTS. THE BAR REPS ARE GR8 AND SERVICE IS EXCEPTIONAL - EVEN WHEN ITS JAM PACKED. THERE IS A GREAT ATMOSPHERE IN THE HOTELS TAB FOR SATURDAY RACES, WHICH I LOVE. ITS LOCATED CLOSE TO EAGLE FARM & DOOMBEN TRACKS WHERE THE PARTY STARTS. The Hammo, really is an excellent pub, located near the river at the bottom of Racecourse Road in Brisbane. The venue is split into several parts, with an upstairs are for partying, and several downstairs areas. The restaurant specialises in Aussies classics and has an excellent range of steaks and meats that you would expect. The quality of the preparation is very good. The tables are evenly spaced and can accommodate a range of group sizes. The pub has a giant screen, and several other smaller screens making it a good venue to watch sport. The have the usual range of beers that you might expect from this kind if venue as well as wines, spirits and soft drinks. There are oftne meat raffles and the like. There is ample parking outside, and I believe there is a shuttle bus if you are in need of a plan B, it's also not far from bus stops, city cat stops. Ascot rail station is a bit of a walk, but manageable. Overall a solid Aussie pub. The restaurant is also a fine location for a Sunday lunch or family dinner.

Venue was physically appealing and great location with plenty of parking. Although i didnt eat, i had walked past other patrons who did and the meals looked delish. I was there for the gaming room and it must of been my lucky day as i was on a it of a winning streak. The reason i rate this place 3 stars js due to the local patrons who did not like that i was having a lucky streak. During my time there i was receiving snarly comments and dirty looks and one patron even trying to better each bet i made on the machine next to me in some kind of battle. The more money he put in the more he become rude and abrubt until he has nothing left and storms out. Unfortunatly it was not his lucky day. I was quiet taken back by the local patrons and their behaviour. Whilst the locals are not the venue im reviewing, these are the people who you will encounter during your visit.

Old school suburban hotel that is in pretty much total denial of its location. The rest of Brisbane is turning on to river access and views, meanwhile, the Hammo is about walls, aircon and dated decor. With it's massive broadacre carpark, it really must be a prime candidate for redevelopment. Always worth keeping an eye on their upcoming gigs, because there are often great bands playing here. Big bottlo, and bistro style food is on the better side of acceptable, in both cuisine and price stakes.

They need more seats upstairs for when bands are on.As my 2ND visit I had to make sure I found somewhere to sit as I have a disability and can't stand for long periods

Best thing about the hamo, and I've been stopping in here many times over the years on transit at airport etc is the staff, they really make a difference from other places I've been too!!!!!
