Yeah meal was good nice place to go for a meal. But if I could make a recommendation they do need to get the meals out a bit quicker But other than that the service is great

Food quality not match the price. Ordered a rare 300g T-bone steak. Got a well-done one.(as in photo) Stsff was nice and kind to ask kitchen to make a new one to replace. The 2nd one was a rare steak, but... The dipping sauce is the worst dipping sauce I have ever tasted. We ordered mushroom sauce, and that sauce has no flavour but the taste of flour. I end up have to eat my steak with only salt to add-on. The environment is good, their staff are nice, but maybe steak are not their strengths...?

The sacred Homestead hotel. Where such joyous occasions were once the norm when it was 'the local'. Where Val ran the bar like a well oiled machine and already had half of the shout poured when you were still making your way from the car to the entrance. The glorious pre-pokie days when pubs still had atmosphere. Many birthdays celebrated inside that big, open public bar. Thousands of dollars won, lost or hastily scribbled I.O.U's on a beer coaster. The fairest of maidens selling raffle tickets on a Friday afternoon right before I suspect they were heading off for a frolic in Downfall Creek. There could be no other feasible explanation for the bikinis they wore and the prizes they didn't carry. I don't remember ever seeing anybody win anything from those raffles. In fact, I don't think a number was ever called out. The $4 roast beef roll with chips is no longer not only, the ONLY thing on the menu, but Chef has taken it completely off! The old smoking area that used to be that area inside the entrance and include everywhere, even right next to somebody eating their roast beef roll and chips...everywhere EXCEPT over the pool tables where smoking is banned WORLDWIDE has been replaced with a cool little area just outside the bar in a kind of beergarden setting. One of the nicer durrie habitats around these days. The pub itself is the same as most of the pubs these days. A bistro on one end, a bar with screens for the races, sport etc in the middle and an outdoor area at the other end. A pretty sterile, clinical environment. A mere shadow of its former glory. One thing that has not changed though is the welcoming smiles of the staff. I don't get there as frequently as once was the case. But everytime I walk in that door I feel immediately welcome, relaxed and glad I stopped in. Friendliest bar/floor staff in all of Brizvegas. Will definitely be back. The pics are old. Really old.

My elderly friend and I were treated very well. A new Covid sign in stressed me out and the bar lady kindly and patiently helped me set it up on my phone. Then my elderly friend fell over and began bleeding mildly. A barman rendered first aid. I give them 10 stars. Excellent above and beyond. The food was good too!

Staff unaware of beer specials. Steak was a bit chewy, frozen veggies and chips, but that char grilled flavour was nice... I feel like you don't care about reviews, stock standard replies.

Really nice lunch, we each had the $12 tradie steak which was a 200g rump. Cooked as ordered. Super tasty and nicely done chips. No dressing for the salad hence the missing star..

Just checked it out as a possible venue to watch UFC main event. It will do fine. Certainly has changed from the pub I remember in the seventies!

Very lovely meal. Staff were friendly. A quiet Friday night for a bar. We didn't wait too long for our meals and when they arrived they were to our specifications. The dining area appeared clean and presentable. The club had Live entertainment playing in the Sports bar.

I had heard so much about this hotel over the years. I live on the Southside of Brisbane. It wasn't what I expected. There were no food or entertainment highlights. I think Karaoke was on. I wasn't disappointed. But I wasn't raving about it either. I'd go there again. The service was really good.

Not a bad night with the exception that QLD bottled the ending of the game and lost the series. The bar staff were nice and the waitress had well developed skills. I will definitely be back for a drink or maybe even some dinner.

The restaurt food is average at best. The staff however are very friendly and polite. Nice atmosphere and descent piped music. There is also a bar and pokies available.

Didn't even know that they were here; but totally glad I found it. The staff offered amazing service, the drinks were ice cold, the bistro offers a great range of meal options and weekly specials in the bistro. A good selection of poker machines for those interested. An all round great venue that I will definitely be returning to very soon.

Had lunch here with a friend the other day. The food choice was very ordinary and the quality about the same. The serving size was small - the accompanying salad was tiny with the fewest of vegetables. The pricing for what was served up was way to expensive. The service was okay but helpful it was not - not many smiles happening either. All in all disappointing and so cannot recommend based on this visit / meals.

We just moved to the area and thought I would try this place out. I was pleasantly surprised at the drinks prices which were very reasonable, and my wife was happy that her favorite Sauvignon Blanc from NZ was available by the glass . We ordered steaks with oysters as entree, the food did not disappoint. Would rate it very good quality at competitive prices. The food was served up quickly as well even though it was a busy Friday night with most tables taken. We will be coming back again..

It's changed a lot and the food was ok for pub food but the cabonara pasta I must say was just enough,fresh and I was happy with my meal.I first ordered the soup of the day but apparently the staff didn't realise it's not being made anymore but still advertised and on the menu.staff a bit rushed at times and some control with some of the patrons could've been handled better but at the time there was no male staff just 3 women and whist I was outside having a biggie there was a robbery in progress at another near by tavern and the 3 women staff panicked a little and their security measures could've been handled a little more professionally but I would go back again and current rating of 5 out of 10 overall.

Really nice steaks. Have new owners now and they are changing policy's where you have to pay for drinks separately when ordering your food which is ridiculous. However the service and food is really good and well priced.
