Came here after friends graduation and had lunch comprising of steak burgers, kum pao nao cocktail, fries and chicken salad. Had a wonderful time here with the group. Beautiful place, wonderful ambiance, great hosting and great food. Would definately recommend the place for lunch and brunch dates and occassions.

We had our Christmas Party at Jade Buddha in the Shadow Lounge area upstairs. The view was amazing. The communication from the start was amazing, the food was amazing and the staff were so helpful. Everyone had the best time and would highly recommend Jade Buddha for any type of function. They even have a service where they will pick up the balloons for you from Big W in the city. Cant wait to go back. Thank you to Abby and the team.

Went last night, Thursday 23 Dec around 7:30pm for dinner. Food was pretty bland and oily. Slow service considering how few people were there. Spectacular views and staff were friendly. We're mid 30s, definitely more catered toward the younger crowd.

Our recent visit to Jade Buddha was very welcoming. They had strict covid-19 controls and patrons were always requested to remain seated. Good music, standard drink options and prices were fair. The place welcomes patrons from all age groups although above 40's are lesser than the 20's and 30's. Still a great place to hangout for all ages. The best view to story bridge comes from Shadow Lounge above, however its a smoko area so be vary of it. The interiors are well done. The bartenders are friendly and help you with drinks out of the list as well. It was good to see dress code was maintained to smart casual. I went for drinks so I am not aware of menu range for eats. Its open till late on weekends and does not stop to amaze you with its aura. Dont lean on the bartender table they are bit stick due to spillovers :-)

Such a lovely afternoon, beautiful views and a wonderful breeze off the river. Food was fantastic! Our party had the fish and chips, beef burger and chicken burger. All meal came out to the table quickly and tasted great! Good portion sizes too, the fries serving would easily feed 2! Great service! Will definitely be back!

Great place to go for some social drinks, happy hour most evenings 4-6pm, half price schooners, cheap basics and cocktails. Upstairs on a weekend night has awesome vibes, comfy couches and tables to relax with a group or just 2. Relaxed environment with kicked back music. The staff are also well trained and provide quality customer service. The range of products is well stocked, great coktail and draught range in particular.

Had a nice dinner out with my friends at Jade Buddha. The curry dish was absolutely yummy but the fish and chips dish was below average (fish was bland and chips were not crunchy). The service was friendly and attentive. I know it’s a bar but it would have been nice to have better lighting at dinner time so we could read the menu and see our food better :)

Ordered Katsu curry and had to return it as it was tasteless. Then ordered butter chicken and was quite disappointed as well. It tasted anything close to a genuine taste. Fish and chips were good. In a nutshell, they should stick to preparing dishes they actually know how to cook. I can't fault their service though! All the staff that served us were very polite and extremely professional. The server refunded my money for the Katsu curry which was very nice of them.

Excellent food and drinks (the Wagyu burger is amazing!!!), great service, prime location, open-air atmosphere, and beautiful views of the river and Story bridge. All easily accessible by ferry or walking. All major credit cards accepted (Visa, Mastercard, American Express (AMEX)) without any silly surcharges. Nice venue with views of the river and open doors and outdoor seating for fresh air. Crowded during Sunday nights with Latin dancing. It makes a lively atmosphere whether you can join in or not. Have to secure a better spot for fireworks. Food is ok. Average for a little above average prices.

Friday lunch with the team was good. Plenty of seating options and the staff were attentive. Slightly high on the price side but plenty of cheaper lunch options as well. Today I had the pork belly bao rolls, they were delicious and well made, at the time of this review they have a deal for these on Wednesdays. So be on the lookout for specials.

Look and feel - not so great outside terrace overall… just a bit tired, canopy above is mouldy and green fake garlands are showing a lot of wear and tear, and the outdoor lanterns on the ceiling are not faring much better… C’mon guys, that’s a very very prime riverfront place, we can showcase Brisbane to ( hopefully soon to come) visitors and Jade Buddha is one of the best venues in town! 😊

Arrived from Cairns today and asked for the best dumpling place and we were told about the Tues night all you can eat pork dumplings for $12 with a purchase of a drink. Very popular restuarant with an amazing view. Would definitely recommend.

Definitely five stars from us. Me and my family turned up “fussy as” with our order - requesting different types of coffees and milk requests and they didn’t complain once. Obviously the establishment comes with a million-dollar view and the staff deserve more than five stars. It was awesome. Loved all the Buddha’s. I was a little surprised with the food here. I have been here a few times before with friends for drinks and the selection and taste were usually quite good. I came here last week for dinner with colleagues and while the food was very nicely displayed, the taste wasn't matching its presentation. We ordered the fried rice and the chicken salad. We also ordered a few appetizers and they tasted quite average to me as well. A little disappointed with our food. Having said that, the view was amazing and eating next to the river was second to none.

We had good time at the Jade Buddha Bar & Kitchen. The balcony has grand views of the Brisbane River, the Story Bridge and surrounds. As the name suggests it is more of a bar with adequate drink choices, and secondarily has a kitchen with limited menu. The battered fish and chips was tasty and the draught beer was cold. It was interesting to learn that Jade Buddha has only one serving size for draught beer.

We dropped in for a Friday evening meal. It was noisy which was to be expected. The idea of serving some starters first, seemed to have eluded them as everything came out if the kitchen at the same time. The food was good, the portions reasonable and the price was typical for the area. The staff were friendly and efficient, in a nice way. Make no mistake this place is prepped for clubbing into the night as we're most of the customers.

Came for cocktails with friends before my birthday dinner. Always love this great location with river views. Prices are what youd expect sitting on the Brisbane River but not ridiculous. Staff are polite and service is decent considering how busy it was. Very busy and noisy when we came due to several christmas parties. Definitely not a quiet venue at the popular times. Inside is quieter but then you miss the view and that's what makes this venue. Going to try the Friday happy hour next time.

When questioned, we were advised we need to order starters 10 minutes before everything else. Seriously?? Food was average, as the lamb curry was served luke warm. I come here for lunch quite often as it is in a good location with nice breezy views. I have had the satay chicken skewers which were cooked very well accompanied with the rice. My usual order is the calamari or sweet potato fries (yum). Usually quite busy on Friday afternoons (much like most of the pubs and waterfront eateries every Friday afternoon) so it's a bit of a hit and a miss getting a table. Food usually comes out pretty fast and is always hot and fresh.

Busy on Fridays and weekends but generally a great venue - the food and beverage prices are significantly lower thank the surrounding businesses yet is (in my experience) much, much nicer than most of them! Incredible atmosphere! Beautiful and relaxed dining overlooking the Brisbane river and story bridge! Nice choice of food on the menu and very reasonably priced! Unfortunately our first choice of slow cooked pork belly burger wasn't available, so we went with the prime cheeseburger for mains and calamari and spring rolls to share. The entres were excellent, very tasty and good sizes! Unfortunately the burgers lacked flavour. Again good size but just needed more fillings or sauce or something to jazz it up! Great service, we could sit here all day!

It would not be an exaggeration to term this place as one of the Iconic places to visit in Brisbane. Situated on the banks of Brisbane River, this place has one of the best views in Brisbane, while sipping your pint of beer. Do not come here for food! I've been here twice, once for lunch and once for dinner. Don't get me wrong, it has a great atmosphere and location and views of the river, however I now know to only come here for drinks with friends on a Friday night. When I first came here for lunch, I ordered fish and chips - the fish was cold and the chips were soggy. The second time for dinner I ordered a butter chicken which arrived within 5 minutes of ordering it, which made me assume it was merely heated up in the microwave. To my surprise my meal was luke-warm and I found a piece of hair in it after eating most of the dish which I was horrified about - how many other strands did I eat?? the staff quickly took my meal away and apologised and offered me a refund and another champagne for free which was amazing. I'll be coming back for sure however maybe reconsider taking the 'kitchen' out of your name...

Amazing View & Vibe. Came here on Saturday night after starting off our staff Christmas party at Friday's only being disappointed by Friday's service and Vibe. We were defiantly not disappointed with Jade Buddha. The atmosphere was electric to match the amazing view. The drink's service was fast and it was service with a smile. Decent pub with great views of the Brisbane River. Sunday night was latin dancing and rather loud. Tables outside were better suited to conversation. ID's were scanned on way into the club, this was a rather slow process... Bar service was efficient. Food menu looked pretty good. Was surprised to get kicked out a midnight however it was a Sunday.

This is "Night club dining" where there is an ID check on your way in to the restaurant, very loud music (there is a DJ in the dining area), lots of drinking (there is a very busy bar area that is on the edge of the dining area) and frankly awful service. The ambient noise was extremely loud (we had trouble hearing each other talk over the table) and it took us 90min to get the food after ordering.

Jade Buddah has lost a lot of its charm over the last decade. For what it is the venue is overcrowded (should be an indicator for a great venue, but in this case its not) and bar service is slow. Overall fitout feels tired and dated while upkeep on the bathroom facilities was terrible. The bar and food service staff were excellant, the food and beverage fairly priced and very palatable and the outlook over the river and Story Bridge is fantastic. In saying that, there are a number of other venues within a 100m radius that are at least equal if not better.

Prime location on the river with a nice atmosphere if only everything else could match that quality. Staff are mixed, often unprofessional with poor manners and demeanor. Acoustics ruin a lot of the atmosphere to an average dining experience, exceptionally disappointing given the theme of the establishment and price range. All with a redemption of gimmicks like the fondue fountain which is quickly a fizzle as you wait far too long for a meal. The city and riverfront offers stronger contenders for your drinking or dining experience.

Surprisingly can get a seat on a Friday. Only down side is gluten free meals are full price on a Friday instead of special price. I completely understand why, I just feel slightly ripped off when my coworker pays $10 for Friday lunch and I have to pay $18 for the gluten free version.

We tried JB recently on a night out for my friends bday. It was a Friday, the club upstairs looked great but I couldn't get to the bar (3 people deep at all times). So we went down to the bottom area and ordered a jug of... Idk kung foo, karate? It had Rekorderlig in it. At any rate it tasted awful. We intended to finish our jug and return upstairs for a drunken dance. We did finish it (between 2) but we weren't drunk. We go out maybe once every couple of months and don't drink at any other time so we're super lightweights, we should have been tipsy! Maybe use little fat lamb instead of Rekorderlig? Not lose enough to dance we ended up upstairs just in time for a good old fashioned 4 man brawl. Sober and disturbed that was it for us, we went home. I think it has potential, the music and crowd was great but I'm 5'1 and I dw fight for the bar to get weak drinks that taste bad or get caught in a fight.

Excuse me, please employ bouncers who can read!! I attended this disgusting hole of excrement just this Saturday, wearing my finest shirt clearly stating "VAPE KING" on front AND back. Now, if I had been stopped at this point I would have no qualms with this venue, but what followed is purely the fault of JADE BUDDHA!! After being allowed inside I headed straight for the toilets, already feeling the itch to defend my title. After 15 minutes (a new personal best) I was able to click the last piece of my monstrous vape into place, ready for enlightenment. I took many powerful, gargantuan hits in the empty bathroom until it took physical effort to move through the smoke. Here we come to the second error on the part of the bouncers: one entered the bathroom at this point, and did not identify himself. Thinking I had an usurper to my throne, I redoubled my efforts and began a series of long, billowing hits designed to protect my reign. This also caused me to notice neither the ringing fire alarms nor the screams of the patrons, which I will later testify in court (hand on the God Delusion by Richard Dawkins of course, not a silly book of fairytales we call the "Bible"). Answer me this: Why does this place name itself after compassionate Buddha, when all I felt from the doormen was the destructive arms of his sister Shiva thumping and twisting my tender parts? OFFICIAL NOTICE: I refuse to pay any fines for ANY false fire alarm call out fees, I refuse to admit any wrong doing, and most of all I refuse to ever pleasure myself in this palace of lies again. Very reasonable drink prices.

Jade Buddha is a beautiful restaurant in a lovely location overlooking the Brisbane River and story Bridge. The $12 Dumpling Tuesday and Thursdays is really good but holding a table is hard. I recommend bringing a friend and plenty of laughs for the good food.

As to food I struck unlucky with my fried ice and crispy chicken as the rice was a bit tasteless and he chicken was crumbed (which wasn't clear) It is billed as Asian Fusion but all that means is that you can have a burger or fish and chips and your other half can have chicken katsu curry or butter chicken! Not bad if you don't expect too bad.
