I went here today and perfect is an understatement. The atmosphere is fantastic, the service was amazing, and the food followed suit. My partner is lactose intolerant and 2 separate servers came over to let him know about his choices. Not only that, but the chef came over to double check on him. It was so kind and we felt very well taken care of. Also, this was the best corn and zucchini fritter I’ve ever had and a delicious fruity blast juice. Thank you for a memorable holiday experience!! You are all incredible!!

Entrees were a nice start. The squid & scallops weren't chewy, pork belly, duck pate, oyster Kilpatrick were also good - wish the portion sizes were a bit bigger though. For mains, most of us got the Wagyu rump with mushroom sauce & the dish was accompanied with a good amount of sides - the chips & salad was probably the best combo. Chips was nicely seasoned. I feel like the Wagyu rump tasted better & was better value for money than their Wagyu flat iron - when you compare the two, the flat iron portion looked insufficient. Most of the desserts were all good choices. Pana Cotta being the best, followed by passionfruit curd tart & then chocolate brownie. The icecream from the tart dish was probably best by a bit but at least none of icecream tasted artificial. Affogato wasn't too impressive, the amount of icecream you receive (1 scoop) was about a third of the kid's icecream dessert (3 scoops)... We had the dinner after the borders opened for almost a week. Very crowded inside & we were a little anxious that no staff wore masks. Finding parking was also a nightmare.

Had an awesome breakfast here last Sunday with the wife. I had the big breakfast which was delicious and huge even for me. Their take on the maple style bacon was very tasty. The staff were amazing and made us feel very welcomed, even though they were very busy. Definitely recommend for a great meal and the top notch service! Definitely be back when we're in the area again.

Husband and I had a date night. Went to Derry's restaurant and after having lunch late we decided to order all the entrees instead of a main meal. Each one was amazing. Our waitress was very professional and friendly and managed to get us a bigger table due to our order. Can't wait to return. 😃

We meet here regularly after a ride and usually get a table even when it's bustling on a Saturday morning. The staff are efficient and service is excellent. The coffee is close to Brisbane top end, even for a pub. Food is consistently good but the mince dish lacks flavour and is half the serving size of the first time I ordered it. Daily specials could do with some creativity and breaking away from the infinite variations of omelette.

Great venue with off street parking. This place pump's but young and old were dining and drinking either at tables or at bar or standing or even in couched areas. I'd suggest booking a table on fri or sat or public holidays as this place is busy. Loved the DJ and food reasonably priced, well presented and delicious to book. I'd defiantly suggest and toddler friendly too with high chairs available. Lost a star due to struggle to find a table when I had called prior to check if I needed to book and was told by time I would get there it would be fine...was anything but fine and had to ask to take a reserved table which was 20 mins past time of reservation..thankfully it was ok and I hadn't wasted my time.

I was here with a group for dinner. To begin with, the bar is fully stocked and very diversified. The prices are also very reasonable. The food itself tasted fantastic and had very large portion sizes. It was also very quick to come out. The music for the night was somewhat average but overall still an amazing night.

I love it here, we always have a great time at the Story Bridge Hotel. Out last visit was on Australia Day - all the bands were quality, the food was yummy and served quickly despite them being absolutely packed and the drinks were cold as ice! I loved the sausages and mash dish, the parmi was really nice and the chicken was soft. It all tasted super fresh and the mash was 👌🏼 the cockroach racing was definitely a first for me 😅

I am always so impressed with the range of craft beer on tap when I come here. The food is amazing and affordable and staff are friendly. Highly recommended the fancy restaurant. Love the layout, you have lots of rooms and seating to choose from depending on your mood. Great space for private functions too. Absolutely love to climb the stairs up to the story bridge and take in the view of the city. Can’t ask more out of a humble pub!

The food was amazing and drinks were cold and reasonably priced. The only let down is customer service. The waiters and management staff were pushy, arrogant and 3 star like bad pub service. If the customer service was more empathetic, friendly and professional then I might go back. Which is a real shame because the 'rib on the bone' was one of the best steaks that I have eaten in Brisbane.

Had a great meal at deary's, however when trying to find a park a guy walked in front of car and kicked door. He was drunk with mates. .. confronted him and he could barely stand. Could have really smashed him , like old Townsville days but decided to walk away as wouldn't have been a fight- he would have been in hospital. The door guy said he saw it all and said he would call police..

A famous public bar (pub) which is steeped in history. This fine example of a great pub delivered a gorgeous place for a quick drink and equally swift fries. Always a great combination for an enjoyable afternoon after a long walk. The team were very friendly and helpful in supporting a beautiful place. Very well worth a visit any time soon.

OMG what can I say, attended with family including children and we were treated like royalty. The service was spot on and the food was to die for. We are not dessert eaters but just had to indulge. Yum yum yum

Very average pub food. Steaks are overpriced. 70 days is far to little time to grain feed beef to have any significant effect. The garlic prawn pizza I had was spongy and doughy with a sauce described as "napoli" that was anything but. The prawns themselves were at least, fair but the rest was quite bland. Service is pretty good though, friendly helpful and attentive staff.

Great historic pub, we got served by a guy called Roberto who was superb at customer service. He recommended the curry as it was Thursday curry night, and both our meals were very nice at a bargain price, with a pint thrown in. Plenty of variety of beer, and the actual pub, is very big. Overall a excellent experience.

Pricing was on the expensive side although you do pay for the quality and service. I was here on a Wednesday night and it was surprisingly busy. The restaurant was almost fully booked. Because there were so many people, it made conversing over the table difficult and tiring (from raising my voice over the table).

This is a classic Australian "hotel" with lots or different areas to cater for everyone . Excellent selection of beers on tap; Food is very tasty and I can recommend the barramundi fish & chips. Staff are great - friendly and quick service.

Great pub, bar and restaurant. Really enjoyed our visit here. The place is split into 4 different themed bars with very different atmospheres, from a trendy bar, to a fine dining restaurant. You could happily spend the evening going between them. We are at the outback bar which had great food and a good selection of drinks. We had the Thursday curry night which is a curry, rice and nann AND a pint for $18. Great value and very good looking steaks. Really recommend visiting this place if you want food and or drink in the kangaroo point area.

Talk about hidden gem! Decided to stop in for brekkie after smashing out a serious exercise sesh running across the bridge and through the city. I was just chasing some poached eggs but decided on the omelette special. It was goooooood. Very satisfying and just the protein hit I needed. The ambiance of this place is great, love that decor and staff are a cool bunch. Think I'll make my way back to watc State of Origin. Clean facilities too.

Wheelchair access to the pub is available! The pub is situated under the Story Bridge! You can get a free ferry from the Riverside terminal! Dan Munn was a guest singer with the excellent band on Sunday 23 June! Nina & I were dancing & singing along! We had a ball! After the gig was the state of origin game! If you bought a 4XXXX beer you received a ticket to receive a maroons football! A bloody Mary each & a pinot noir was enough to convince the bar managers to give me one for me & one for my girlfriend! I announced that I want to start kicking real goals from now on! Weeks before we seen the Rockerbilly band the Sugar Shakers!

Four out of five for this one. The venue itself is great with a lot of different bars and areas within the building. The food is tasty, not perfect but pretty good. Sausages and steak were sublime but the mash was saltier than I was after the umpires robbed Collingwood of a grand final. None of the bar staff seemed to know if audio would be available for the AFL, which it was in the end, but the tv they showed the AFL on was so hard to watch. I thought Toby Greene had scratched my eyes, such was the difficulty involved in watching that tv, turns out it was just flickering like a candle in the wind. Terrible brightness. The one next to it was fine but for some reason no one could figure out how to change the channel. “What? How.” Said the manager as he struggled with the tv remote to no avail. Friendly staff, decent food, but please fix your tv.

Been here a couple of times now and absolutely love the versatility and ambience of the place. Three different areas that I've discovered so far, the outdoor area, the more formal dining area and the relaxed Cafe style area. Something for everyone and every occasion. I really wanted to give this place a good review. It's in such a great location and has all the makings of an iconic venue. But I can't. It barely gets the three stars. The waitress with the makeup pulling her face down was rude both times I went there. The bar staff were more interested in talking to each other.. Beer selection was merely acceptable which is a shame with all the taps they have. Food was the highlight but even then it was ok. Steak was good. Wings were ok. The coleslaw was bland. Steak and Guinness pie was the best thing we ate. Go for the venue and that's about it.

Just had what has to be the BEST pub grub ever! Sensational beef bacon and mushroom pie topped with caramelised onion, served with crispy fries and delicious coleslaw. Tuesday special at $18. $18! To die for. Bailey was our host, tuned me into an epic craft beer with a wee sample. Great service! Generous servings, gourmet food washed back with a delicious craft beer. I've met only nice people here, no problems with idiots. This place is friendly happy and comfortable to let ur hair down and have a great time, without anyone annoying you. I mean people that come hear for a drink etc are a fun happy loving bunch. If ur looking for this place remember its under the story bridge. Entrance from left hand side of the exit that comes off the story bridge on the opposite side to the valley. Im sure google maps will help u find it. After u take the left exit follow the road down and you will see the hotel on ur righthand side on the road. Enjoy all. LGBTQI friendly by all❣❣❣

I was craving a steak and I know that Deerys have a great reputation for the quality of their food. Honestly, the 'Steak of the Moment' was the best steak I have ever eaten. Cooked to perfection with exemplary sides. The wine selection is truly impressive and the up market service was brilliant. Definitely a five star from me. Will definitely be back soon.

Over the weekend we held our wedding ceremony and reception in the Martini Rooms of the hotel. From the time of initial contact through until collecting our personal effects after the event, the hotel staff were outstanding on every level. From the owner Richard through to Robyn and Kayla in events and Dee who first showed us around, everyone was supportive and helpful, considerate to our requests and ideas for our big day. The afternoon and night went off without any dramas - the room was as we planned and were promised, the staff on the day were available and friendly, happily engaging with our guests and the food was outstanding. We would totally recommend the Story Bridge Hotel as an option for a wedding reception.

Story Bridge hotel in Brisbane is a very nice hotel with history. Near the story Bridge on River banks, the backdrop is the beautiful city behind. Nice for good tasty food, their burgers are yummy.

Always had a good time here. It's always pretty packed with an amzing range of drinks and food. The food has always been great, well and truly above the average pub grade. The drink range here is also really good, in particular the gins they stocked are up to date with the current demand in craft gin. Craft beer is also a big things with heaps of taps providing a good range of draught. The staff are very good for the most part, efficient service under pressure and always a smile. My only complaint would be i can never get the bartenders to muddle the fruit in my spirits, nonetheless a great venue worth a visit and 5 stars.

The Story bridge is one of the iconic places to come in Brisbane it does Brisbane pub well and has a good reputation for quality food and cold drinks. Is it perfect definatly not and has its share of hits and misses but if you want perfect food and immaculate service you wouldn't come here. The Story Bridge is a solid performer on the Brisbane scene.

Everything was excellent from the friendly and welcoming staff to the food and drinks. The decor is on point for this type of meal giving the space a formal feel but still relaxed enough not to be stuffy. We didn't have a booking which luckily wasn't a problem, We reserved a table and then went into the bar for a drink, putting the drinks onto the table which saved any hassle or confusion. Staff were very friendly and attentive and included a free dessert for our birthday celebration. However, food was very slow to come out from the kitchen. We dined on a Tuesday night so it wasn't very busy, but food took over 50 minutes to arrive. When it came out, my steak was covered in sauce, which I was hoping would be served on the side. Was it a good quality steak? I don't know. I couldn't taste it from all the sauce. My chips didn't match the description on the menu (meant to include rosemary) and my mum's pork didn't come with any apple, which was also described on the menu. These are small things that an expensive restaurant just shouldn't miss. This is the second time we've dined here and probably the last. Last time, 3 of us ordered the beef cheek and all of us had food poisoning symptoms within 24-72 hours afterwards. I can only hope they read their reviews and take this one on board.

I enjoyed the work function at the Story Bridge Hotel. It was a Friday night...so one of the busiest nights of the week but Staff were great and they kept the Tables clean and looked after us well. The Environment got a little noisy later in the Evening and I have trouble hearing the people you are talking to with so much background noise but that is my issue not the Patrons. There is a good mix of outside area and inside and of course the usual Music TV (not that you can hear it) Sport and News Channels playing. The Drinks we quality drinks...sometimes you go to a Pub and you can tell they are on the skimp and the drinks are watery and fake. There were no complaints from our crowd. Good food platters and enough for 30 (due to Covid19 that's all we were allowed in one group) Thumbs up for me.

Been to Deery's many times over the years but recently we had a family dinner for 10 of us to celebrate my son's 21st. It was a wonderful night the food was excellent probably the best meal I've had at Deery's and the service was fantastic. I had some mates of mine dinning that night at another table and speaking to them the next day they also said how good their dinners were that night. Whilst waiting 3 deep for the other server, she took a brief order from someone for food and then waved us over Then she said that she couldn't serve a gin and tonic (one shot of gin) in a pint glass, as pints were for beer only. What an amazing restaurant. Normally when I eat out I don’t typically do the whole entree, main and dessert. But I’m so glad I did at Deerys. Steak was cooked perfectly and little to no fat (cooked rare to medium rare). I’m a sucker when I see creme brûlée on the menu and the espresso creme brûlée with peanut brittle is definitely in the top 3. The chairs are comfy the tables are large so your not always bumping elbows. The staff are super friendly and don’t bug you every 10 seconds with how’s your meal or would you like another drink.

Not the classiest place, but it's a big pub, right under the bridge. Parts of the bridge structure come down into the pub and the pub has been built around it. Story Bridge Hotel is a Brisbane icon and is certainly worth a visit. You’ll find this place pumping 7 days a week with both Kangaroo Point locals, Brisbane locals and visitors from all over. The Pub has many bars and dining options with plenty of seating, if you cannot find a spot to sit at first just keep looking as you’ll certainly get one somewhere. The food is always on point and there are plenty of options. The Pub is easily accessed either by bus, ferry taxi or ride share and for returning home there is always plenty of taxis at the front door.

I've been here at least 30 times over the last three years. What impresses me the most is the consistency of the food and service. Always excellent! With the number of venues here, I was predisposed to expect the mediocrity that characterises every multiple bar/restaurant place I've been to. But not so with the SBH. It's so consistent good. That tells me that this a place with excellent management that really cares. I especially love the coleslaw (enough that I've ordered a double and had it as my dinner) and the pizza. I'm an American who loves gooey-cheesy pizza and this is the best I've found in Australia. The beer is wonderful too. I LOVE IPAs and can't tolerate bars who offer 150 Lashes as their "craft beer". This place is the real deal and I will keep returning.

We had dinner in The Shelter Bar recently. The food was nice enough (though the coleslaw was a bit flavourless), the steak was cooked as ordered and flavourful, My wife said her gnocchi was delicious. The letdown was the seating in the area, namely the area that seems to moonlight as a dancefloor: Poorly laid out for navigating past people already seated, causing people to bump into you while eating. I expected better for the reputation that the hotel has. The saving grace was the attentive, friendly staff, who couldn't be faulted.

1 word....DELICIOUS! Ok maybe a few more words, freshest oysters I've had in a while. My wife normally doesnt like oysters, but these fresh and delicious oysters changed her perspective! Perfect eye fillet steak cooked medium, very good recommendation. Only thing is the duck patte, its delicious as well but there should be a bit more bread, my wife and I put alot and there was about half left over, which means requiring more bread, but then charged extra.... Other then that beautiful :)

This is my second favorite pub hotel in the city fellow brisbanites and I want you to know the service is quick when it comes to drinks. The food sadly is not as good as it was a couple of years ago in the shelter bar and the outback grill. If you want a decent feed go around the corner to the main Street eatery or Deerys restaurant. It's coming from the same kitchen as far as I can tell but the food is definitely better. The prices are reasonable and the location is fantastic for a weekend drink or even a weekday. They have a great staff and very involved managers who prowl the property making sure everything is working the way it should. I might see you there for the next Sunday session

The food was amazing, especially the beef cheek. We also had a 300g eye fillet, cooked medium rare. As for the cheek, the mix of flavours made it rich and tasty, and if it had been slightly more tender it would have deserved a 10/10. For dessert we had an espresso crème brûlée that came with some biscuits and a very nice chocolate stick, but the best was the lemon tart: lovely. This is not a 5 stars review because of a little mistake on the bill that was fixed straightaway.

The public bas has the traditional feel amd amenities you look for, the outdoor covered bistro offers great pub grub at reasonable prices, and the restaurant has quite a reasonable wine list, excellent food and is a world away from the rest of the pub. Disappointing. I am giving it a three star because I have been there before and it was probably a 4 star. This time, the service took around an hour for the meals (simple pizza and other items that should have been quick). It would have been a 1 star. They were not that busy. I spoke with the manager he said that they burnt the pizza and threw it out and then had to put another one on. I think that if that was true, I should have been told.

Decided to shout family to dinner and picked the Story Bridge. My mistake! Only a handful of people sitting in the area. It only took 15 minutes to take drink orders, 20 for food orders and 45 minutes in total before the main meal. Entrees arrived 5 minutes after mains after being reminded we did order entrees. Staff appeared like there were better places they would rather be. It will be a long time before I go back. Not impressed!

To have a successful Hotel there are so many aspects, the food the ambiance, the layout, the vibe, the beer (variety ) and other harder to describe things. The Storey Bridge Hotel does seem to nail it though. I was there on Friday night and it was a blast. You Brisbane people are so lucky.
