My first time visiting The Gresham was fantastic. Classy and traditional vintage bar style. My bar tender, Tom has a great knowledge of the Bourbons on offer and with over 100 available thats impressive. He was very attentive while making drinks and managing staff and customer's with ease. He was happy to offer some very nice recommendations. There's a great range of lower to mid range price offerings as well as some for the more adventurous. Specialist Bourbon bars rare and I'm very happy to have found this one. With what looks like 200 plus scotches, as well as rum, gin, vodka and others as well as a good selection of cocktails, there are pleanty of reasons to return. I will return with friends and highly recommend the experience to others. Thanks for a great night.

This is probably the best bar have been to in Brisbane. It will forever stand out in my mind because the decor, service and feel is suited to more of a Sydney or international city. When I first walked in it was like stepping into a completely different world, like as if you were at a theme park or a movie stage, but you're not and everything is real. Honestly loved this place and will be going back again

The gresham I can get down with. Though it was table service (which I hate), it didn't feel like table service. Also the waiter was super cool and had some really good recommendations, no matter what your budget is. As a Whiskey drinker, it was an awesome way to have the odd fancy Whiskey. Wasn't a big joint, but I like that. Means quick service. And I'm a bit of a derro, but they really took the time with me and made sure I was satisfied. Will go again.

Kinda weird really. Firstly we turned up on the dot of ten so the lady (kinda rudely) made us wait till someone got their act together to being out the licence scanner. No humour or gracefulness in any behaviour. Once inside it's quite nice atmosphere of an old school club or library. Weirdly the music they play is a nasty blend of hair rock & bad eighties hits. So ironic, am I right!!!? Sadly just comes off like trying way too hard to be a tad controversial. Naughty! So much good music in the world & they play tired trash. Staff were ok. Par excellence !! Fantastic bar in Brisbane cbd. In the lovely old National Bank Queensland headquarters. Friendly greeting from an efficient guy on the door.. Quick service from very competent staff give a rundown on adult beverages available. Whether your choice is the house speciality of rare Highland single malt whisky, cocktail, excellent red wines or a craft beer.. It's all here. The historic decor, cast iron ceiling and vintage sepia prints are very interesting.. the ambience of the bar reminds one of an Edinburgh bar on the Royal Mile.. Highly recommended! A must try!!

In general, the Gresham has a good selection of whiskies which are a little on the pricey side, but has a great vibe to the place and the staff a very knowledgeable about the various product.

This place is honestly one of the coolest, unique places you could ever go to. The interior is amazing and filled with old style original ornate ceiling designs, old school photos with ornate frames and some seriously cool historic pics of Brisbane. The atmosphere in here is just amazing, you can't stop looking around at all the old photos or the chandelier. The reading room/draft room is absolutely fantastic and if you are into history then this is the place for you. The waitresses were great and had a wicked sense of humour. Cocktails were absolutely delicious and so was the whiskey. The prices of whiskey range from $13 up to a $1000. Though I am not sure who could afford that for a glass but it seems obvious someone does. If there is one place you want to go in Brisbane, this is definitely it!

Take a step back in time and reconnect with the history of Brisbane! Always impressed with the different craft beers on tap and the range of liquor to choose from. I have still yet to try a drink I have not liked! If I’m not meeting my friends, I love to sit at the bar and enjoy a drink by myself and admire the paintings and high ceilings. Warm and cosy interior, stylish outdoor seating, central location, vintage vibe, friendly staff and very clean. The only bad thing is tap beer comes in one size glass and it’s a little expensive. But no other bar in Brisbane CBD boasts as much class and swagger!

Headed to The Gresham Bar for a colleagues retirement, what a beautiful bar. The young woman who attended to us first nearly ruined the night, this wasn't usual behavior from someone who works in a bar, maybe she had a bad day. If this was her usual service, I would be shocked to hear that the owners or management would allow this however, Zane/Zayne was the star of the night. He quickly restored our faith with his promptness of serving and knowledge of the menu. He really turned our night around from when we first arrived. He was lovely. We were even notified when he was taking his break and introduced us to the lady stepping in. The Gresham Bar is lucky to have him onboard their team. Thanks

What a place! Enclosed with the famous Queensland National Bank building in the bustle of Brisbane CBD is the Gresham Bar. A fantastic bar that speaks wanders about the marked change over the proceeding decades of Brisbane! With a wide array of whiskies, American whiskies and rums plus cockatiels and wines you will be hard pressed not to be able to find the drink of choice! Prices are very reasonable given the range on offer at any given time and bar staff always there to help you make that final decision if you are unsure! Definitely a hit!

Great place for a sit down and chat over a drink. Indoor private room for small functions as well as an outdoor area. Drinks are on the pricier end but they're of a higher standard than your basic places. I recommend swinging by The Gresham for an after work drink or 2, or on your way to an event.

For years I've been coming occasionally and each time I've had a great experience. The long hardwood bar is beautiful. Can get very busy so I avoid peak times for a more intimate experience.

One of the best bars in the CBD, with a wide range of drinks, whiskeys and beer. Their whiskey collection is absolutely insane and something to try, although it might take you 3 months to try them all. Best part is, there is a drink for every price range, whether a cheap can of beer or an imported whiskey. Bartenders are professional, hospitable and absolute legends who know their stuff. Only qualm is, everytime you need to use the washroom or go out for a smoke, you need to exit the venue and present your id at the door, otherwise would definitely recommend this place to anyone in the city no matter what time it is (closes very late).

A beautiful heritage-listed building is a treat to hang out in. The bar manager is genuine and generous with his knowledge and enthusiasm for whiskey. Most of the staff here don't take themsleves too seriously which is a refreshing change from many other specialty bars. I almost wish it wasn't so popular on Friday afternoons so I could have my chilled midday, moments stationed at the bar all the time!

I’m a little angry at myself for not reviewing this, the best bar in Brisbane, sooner. Not because my opinion carries more weight than the next person, but because in our city it is rare to find this kind of comprehensive selection of just about everything. It’s rarer still to find that in gorgeous heritage surroundings that are comfortable and utterly unpretentious. There’s little heritage architecture left in the CBD and the Gresham gives us access to that and just happens to be world class.

Great Staff, Great bar. A small, but excellent selection of beer taps is dwarfed by a veritable mountain of whiskeys. Don't be afraid, the staff will guide you through the list and help you find something to suit your tastes with their encyclopedic knowledge. Boilermaker specials provide good value, but the true Whiskey snob will find solace in the fairly reasonably priced gems towards the more expensive end of the list; from Islay to Izakaya they don't discriminate here.

Imagine a turn of the century whiskey bar - this is exactly what you're imagining. There is a wall of different spirits and liquors behind the bar, complete with a ladder, antiques, comfy leather chairs, and solid wooden furniture. The bar tenders are extremely skilled and you can order anything, even off menu, and they will make it with skill and care. Highly recommend.

Do you like whiskey? If so you're spoilt for choice at The Gresham. They've got more whiskeys than you can count, presumably because years of drinking has destroyed your cognitive functions beyond repair. If whiskey isn't your thing, you could try one of the wide varieties of gin, any one of which is sure to help quell your tears after that inevitable recent break-up which you are adamant was a mutual decision. It definitely wasn't. Too early for the hard stuff? Then grab yourself a coffee, lovingly made by artisan baristas and served up with equal measures of flirtatious niceties and sassy insults. The staff are friendly and attractive, a troupe of bohemian recusants predisposed to 70s rock and monochrome fashion. The bar is dark and inviting, like your bedroom, but with more people and less sadness. Find yourself a seat in the corner and drown your self-doubts to the sounds of Billy Joel and surrounded by walls adorned with your grandmother's favourite relics.
