It's our home away from home. Staff are delightful AF. Love Trivia & Balls Out Bingo. Rockin concert venue & just great for catching up with mates to unwind after work... The Wickham is hands down my fave Brizzy Venue.

This is a great place for any occasion. It's a great place where you can socialise and have a dance, or enjoy a drink. The Wickham is a safe place as well where you can meet new people, relax and check out the shows. The drag shows are full of life, emotion and sometimes laughter, they are hosted by local big drag personas. The drag queens love a photo, and don't forget to buy them a drink if you get to talk to them. The Wickham also host a trivia night, the host running the show is welcoming and entertaining, he interacts with the guest and keeps them engaged. This is a great night out during the week to break the work week or to have a little escape from the norm. The environment is very comfortable and casual, there is a feeling of being welcomed no matter your orientation, background etc. The team is friendly and respectful of all patrons. They are always going above and beyond for the customer. The menu has a variety of great options, it is casual yet very tasty and good value, the portions are a good size as well. I recommend the tacos, they are very delicious, on fresh tortillas.

My Wife and I got MARRIED at the Wickham! I am so proud to be part of the Wickham team and to have been welcomed with such loving and open arms when the idea of holding our wedding was mentioned. This had been in the works since 2018 and with Covid having us cancel or move it a few times we were finally able to do so on June 28th 2021. A Pride wedding. In pride month. In a PRIDE venue!! The entire team went above and beyond to get this special occasion off the ground and we will be forever grateful for all the hard work the entire Wickham family did for us. The executive chef and venue chef’s even created a fully Vegan, Gluten free and other dietary restricted menu for us!! ( insert drool face emoji here ) Not a single bit of food was left it was THAT delicious, we all wanted so much more of it! My bride tribe and I were at the venue early Monday morning to help set up and thankfully the Wickham’s COFFEE SHOP was open, otherwise I’m not sure how we would have pushed through…considering the shenanigans we had the night before ha ha! Come here once a week for lunch and always happy with the food and the service. Good range of standard pub food at decent prices. My favourite is the hotdog 🌭 and fries 🍟 ...as you can see from the photos, but the chicken schnitzel Burger is great too (ask for it with cheese!). This is a very classic LGBT+ venue. The floors are sticky, the drag queens are sweaty and there is camp music playing loudly everywhere. Drinks are expensive. A great night out.

Attended quite early on a Saturday night while visiting Brisbane and this place had a great vibe with a live band outside, people dancing and singing. What is not to love about The Wickham? Well the only thing for me would be that I don't live closer! The Wick is my favourite place, it has the great vibe of a nightclub on the weekends, and a great place for casual drinks during the week! Also who could forget the Drag Queens! Vollie and Friends on a Wednesday is my favourite! Staff are super friendly. Having had a chance to talk to the staff, everyone is super friendly. I got the chance to talk to Tegan behind the bar one night, and she was super friendly, and was telling about all the great events coming up, which makes me excited to keep coming back!

Great beer garden, prices are generally pretty reasonable. Service is friendly and great. Only exception seems to be a compact, dark haired (cut short) girl who seems to think she should serve all women first before serving a single man. I know that we are trying to get equality, but this is going to the extreme. So my advice is if you see this girl at the front bar, AVOID. You will get much better service in the the beer garden, without the attitude and political statement.

A great venue for a bit of a wind-down or a wind-up. The exceptionally enjoyable beer garden, with food, is what this iconic pub has needed for a very long time. It has re-energized a corner of the Valley that for a long time was a 'why bother' zone (until late at night, that was). Nice crowd, a good mix of different types. A second (and well-staffed) bar adds pleasant flavour. Enjoy !!

I've lived in the valley for nearly a decade and over the past few years, the Wickham has become easily the best pub in the valley. The staff are super lovely, the food is delicious and the beer is relatively cheap. There is often great live music out in the amazing beer garden. Plus, it's dog friendly! I've never had a bad experience here.

Went to the forecourt, went to the bar and guy was about to prepare our drinks, then a lady came and said no bar is closed. We went inside to order and returned to the forecourt and security let us know that the forecourt part would be closing in 10 minutes. Not even 2 minutes had passed and the same lady cane to our table and said it's now closed. To which I asked my friends "didn't the guard just say it was 10 minutes" (politely) and she then said "get over it" Apart from that, there was like 7 people throughout the building at 11.40pm on a Friday. The venue it self was great.

Before coming to the Wickham, if anyone had asked me to go here, I would have said no straight up. By chance, I visited this establishment because it was convenient, and I now frequent it. It's quite possibly the best bar in the valley due to the range of beers on tap, excellent and affordable food choices, super friendly staff and general vibe of the place. If you haven't been here because its a famous "gay bar", give it a try sometime and you will undoubtedly be surprised at how awesome this joint is. Fun fact for all you locals, it has Queensland's oldest jail underneath it (obviously not still running lol).

Really enjoyed myself last night at the Drag Royale Finale, the DJ played excellent music. The host Tini Nikki kept the crowd entertained. The final 4 consentant did an excellent job of performing last night - it would have been hard to judge and separate them. Well done for allowing this contest to be held at the venue. Not only is The Wickham an iconic Brisbane LGBTQ+ venue, it is also one of the most welcoming and supportive communities around. The gorgeous staff work tirelessly to make sure that patrons are looked after and enjoying themselves. The food is great... there’s a huge variety to choose from at the bar... Thursday Trivia nights, hosted by Paul Wheeler from Quizmeisters, are the most entertaining I’ve found in Brisbane - for realz... and a recent change in venue management has brought an exciting wave of new events and community engagement - thank you Antony - the Wick is in it’s element!

I really like the place ever since they renovated it. It has a large outdoor area now as well as a dance area and balconies upstairs. The scene is also much improved. They need more drink specials though

One of the most amazing spaces I’ve been to. Like a little sanctuary filled with plants and salvaged wooden furniture in the thick of the CBD. The Sticky Buffalo Wings were amazing, and well worth the lengthy wait. A must visit to anyone frequenting the area.
