Love that you can order food and drinks from the tables these days - kids meal came out about 10 minutes before the other meals which meant it had time to cool down before we ate together. Steaks were amazingly cooked, fish and chips and the burger were crispy and delicious. Would definitely come back again.

Incredible service by Bree she was amazing in ever aspect of service!! If it wasn't for her our night would never have run so smooth. The food was incredible and so quick to come out. The ability to order and pay through your phone is great!

Nice atmosphere, kids area outside is great for my 2 & 4 year olds but could do with a clean. Calamari was a little under cooked but still everything else was great! Staff were approachable and friendly. Service was fast and efficient, done through an app at the table.

Food here is good, unfortunately the same cannot be said for staff. If a particular request for seating is made and confirmed then it should be honoured. Not the case twice now. Staff very disrespectful and told they gave table away even though we arrived 10 minutes early. Forced to wait for a table and made to sit in the playground area. Very disappointing. That said food was good and serving sizes fair. Unfortunately only 5 pieces of steak available as they got more orders they they planned for.

We had dinner there on Sunday 7th March, we were totally boring and all ordered the same thing, the steak sandwich. It was very good! But the absolute stand out from the experience came from the manager Amy, I've managed restaurants for a long time and I could see how busy they were, but because of her, no one was aware of it! We have been coming to the Tavern for sometime now, Thursdays are always date night with the wifey. The meals are always great and our steak is always cooked the way we like it. The staff are always friendly, up for a quick chat and they often check that out meals are all good.

Enjoy going to this Tavern every once in a while for a meal and a cold drink on a hot day. The food seems to be a little better than most 'pub grub' - the chefs work in plain sight of the customers. My partner and I came in here for my first time. The staff were all very warm and accommodating, but especially the manager, Aimee. She made our experience enjoyable, fun and the food was cooked and handled with care. We were checked on by Aimee to make sure our meals were to standard and everything was going smoothly. Friendly staff,atmosphere, we went for lunch on Saturday 13/3/21. Easy access to use QR code reader.great playground area for the kids. Outdoor seating has been improved. Very impressed with the wooden benches and the wildlife that visit is especially beautiful as a lot of people have never seen a dragon lizard..food was delicious especially my dish sweet potato Buddha bowl,while my partner had the chicken schnitzel.service was great..quick service and lovely smiles al round.also never had. Have eaten here numerous times, took my elderly mother today as she felt like their "Karagge Chicken" however was not on the menu any more and Jules our waitress explained very clearly to us the reason why and was very attentive to us throughout our time there. Fantastic customer service from moment we entered the venue for lunch till we left. Aimee & Britt were so inviting with friendly attentive service at the bar even with a suggestion of beer on special one we don't normally drink & even offered us a sample to taste before our purchase. Premises were covid friendly & safe plus clean & meals were delicious. Would highly recommend here for quality plus courteous service.

Overall the Xmas lunch was very nice. It was plentiful and tasty with a good variety. They had some "teething" problems trying to enforce the COVID-19 rules with some incredibly ignorant customers, but managed to overcome this.

Playground is great, food is typical for a pub but quality is good and good service generally would avoid on special events they get quite overwhelmed and I have waited a long time for food but in general situation is def a go to for a good family meal the kids entertain is amazing.

Only given 4 stars because of one person at end of night with others still having drinks at my sister’s wedding a person said “I’ll take that” as the drink was still in my hand and I was just finishing it. Her tone and demeanour were rude and condescending. Totally unacceptable behaviour.

It's our regular dine in spot been hit and miss in the past but tonight was great the meals were all really good the young gentleman I think he was the manager was really polite and friendly,the young lady named kassady was very nice and well mannered a small mix up with our order was promptly sorted out with little fuss as it was my wife and mother inlaws birthday dinner we couldn't be happier and grateful keep up the good work we'll be seeing you in the future

Came here on Saturday evening due to power being out - Totally forgot it was Halloween but walking into the bistro and being greeted by Haylee the scary doctor and the amazing decorations it was truly amazing ! She was dressed up amazingly (So scary and realistic!) stayed in character whilst being super professional and super efficient! She was just amazing - served us at the kitchen and then the bar. She also checked in on us several times to ensure everything was perfect ! We did have a slight issue with the wine but she made sure to rectify it and was amazing with her service right up till we left ! Even offered to walk us outside with an umbrella! 10/10 for Haylee and the tavern ! Will be back again

WOW ! I've been in three times this past week and been given outstanding customer service by an amazing young lady - Haylee each and every time. I don't know how its possible but she was so happy and energetic every time possibly more with each visit ! This young girl needs to be made a manager as she's a real asset to this company. Her smile and laughter is amazing especially during a tough time with this covid and well her brilliant work ethic ! She greeted us at the door, to then serve us at the bar then seated us at our table and there she was again to take our meal order and bring it out as well ! She was always doing something and was busy flicking around to any place she was needed and not once did she stop smiling, laughing or make it appear like she was flat out or couldn't handle it! She also remembered myself and my partner even after our first time being there - and treated us and our family like she'd know us for years and really made a lasting impression on my father ( Once she found out it was his birthday she made it such a special day for him and us !) I've never seen him enjoy a day out like he did the day he met Haylee ! Please give this lady a promotion or something cause she truly deserves it ! Truly a beautiful person to have as a staff member Myself and my family will be now regulars at this pub ! I'll be sure to bring many more to experience an amazing day at the tavern and hope they get to enjoy it as much as we have this past week ! My meals and beverages have also been top notch every time as well

Have been regular customers for some years. The food has always been great. One of the very few places we have been where the steaks are cooked perfectly to your taste. The salmon is also delicious. Menu is seasonal and a variety of blackboard specials. Caters for a wide range of tastes. They also offer a seniors menu 7 days a week. Venue itself is exceptionally clean and the staff are so friendly and nice. I would highly recommend the tavern .

Im not a big fan of taverns but my experience and meal today was PERFECT. Carefully observed Covid protocols with friendly, prompt service from bar and restaurant staff, safe, airy outdoor area to eat, (great playground as well if you have kiddies)....Steak cooked to perfection, fresh crisp salad, chips just yummy and the best mushroom sauce I've had in a long time. All washed down with a lovely South island Sav blanc for $34.50. I can now walk out the door, leave my car in the same spot and do my groceries and wine shopping :)
