Came to the Victory for lunch today and was glad I did. I ordered the rump steak with chips and salad (mashed potato and vegetables were other options). My steak arrived in a timely fashion and was cooked perfectly to order (medium rare). The steak was tender and full of flavour. Would highly recommend coming here for excellent, well-priced meals ($25 for rump steak) in a pleasant beer-garden setting. Cheers.

This is a great venue, the music is very loud at night, but not too loud so you can have those amazing conversations that would normally be ruined by ridiculous amounts of noise, theres also a section that's very quiet, just next to the gaming area, it's great when you need to retreat for a moment. The staff are really friendly too, I think the only criticism for this venue is the lack of dance floor, but it's not really a big deal to me.

Came to this place by reviewers and all I can say is, THEY ARE RIGHT! The $10 beer jug and food are amazing, the atmosphere is mixed from casual, gambling, relaxing, dancing or just hanging out with friends. Victory has it all, will definitely be coming back here again and again

Pleasantly surprised by this place. Was just expecting a horrible pub joint but it was actually quite nice. Extremely busy but nice. Made a reservation online. My booking was there as expected. $10 jugs of beer...great! Ordered the grilled barra which was beautiful. Even the chips and salad was lovely. Small place in the city good to grab a beer after work. I went there with a few work mates recently to cheke it out. There was live music and a bistro as well as a area for smokers. Spent a few hours there buying jugs and ate a steak sandwich the food was good and the beer was cheap. Would likely go there again for a quick beer after work

It is usually crowded site, especially while life music is on. Good thing is here you'll never be bored. The orders are quite big, i recomend you two order one dish on two people. The gigs are usually divided in 10-15 mins sets in order to keep good mood. The garden is especially comfy for midday meals.

Visited the Vic on a busy Friday night. As we walked through there was live music and a vibrant crowd of people. Both bars were easily accessible to order drinks and the girls that took our orders we entertaining as we had asked them to creatively come up with a few different shots of their choices for us each time we ordered. The lowlight was the food. If it wasn’t for the shots which naturally lowers expectation we probably wouldn’t have eaten it our meals.

Lovely and busy venue. A bit too loud for me. Good food. In saying that, I did find the blonde behind the counter to be a little rude when I initially came in. Not everyone has been to the venue before, and it's not clear if there would be a separate dining and drinking area. Hanging out at pubs/clubs is not my thing. I was meeting up with a group for a get-together and just wanted to know whether I had entered the correct place. So, I approached the counter near the entrance and this chick/lady did not even let me ask a question, and just immediately started with have you 'signed' in. I said no, so she directed me back to the table that was tucked to the side and easily overlooked when you first come in. And that's fine. My issue was that she followed me across to the sign-in desk behind the counter, and proceeded to tell the person responsible for signing people in, over the top of my head, that I was 'sneaking' in as though I was not present. That's quite rude, and there are better ways to handle things 'when you think people are sneaking' in. Use your brain-cells, why would I approach the counter first and not just wander in further?

Lunch specials are always good and I enjoy the steak and chips. My steaks are usually cooked to my liking and the wait time for meals isn't too bad considering how busy they usually are (especially on Friday afternoons). Outdoor seating area is good with options under cover or in the sun, but it can feel quite cramped and stuffy when it's very busy. Bar staff are friendly and quick. Overall a good atmosphere to wind down on your lunch break or after work.

I enjoy having a beer and wine here with the misses. The staff are really friendly and efficient. Always great to have a chat while being served. The beer prices here are great and I guess why it’s a popular place to visit. The back bar is more trendy and has a younger crowd on Friday and Saturday nights. The front bar is more the older crowd scene but both intermix readily. I recommend this a great place for a beverage.

Great inner city pub, live music, cheap drinks with happy hour $5 basics all night, and $3 vodka + mixers on Sundays. Upstairs dance room, good DJs, Sunday’s are student nights so it gets wild. You’ll be able to catch UFC fights and other events in the downstairs rooms too when they’re on.

I love this place but it's a pretty weird venue, it's got a nightclub upstairs, pokies and an RSL-like barwith karaoke, a fancy hotel bar, and an outdoor bar with beer garden. It's pretty much 5 different things at once with 5 different crowds. Great place to meet some friends for a beer or ten.

Once upon a time this place was epic. Now it's just another hotel. Upstairs is a dance club for hormonal teenagers trying to get laid which just attracts that exact attitude. If you want a decent classy place where you sit down comfortably enjoy a drink surrounded by adults maybe go somehow else.

Can get some really cheap drinks if you go at the right time and day, such as $4 vodka or $5 Movo's. The the type of crowd and atmosphere can really change on the days you go, so be careful to go at the right time for you. There is often events held by the venue (like Karaoke), so keep an eye out for what is happening!

Great location, great food. This place gets packed during ufc fights/games etc. Thursday nights are great with multiple djs over different areas of the pub. The upstairs nightclub of my favourite! Sunday afternoons/night it is also a good spot. The front bar has been converted to cocktail bar, which is a nice spot for a few drinks and has some good cocktail options. Would recommend.

It's a pub. It has beer. I think it is a great option as a cheeper alternative in the city. The staff were pleasant. I would head to the Victory for a cheap beer for a casual afternoon but there are much better option in the city if you are willing to pay more.

This is the best place to party if you come with friends, had predrinks and dont want to spent a fortune in the vally. I am an international student (girl) and we went there at least 10 times. They have a karaoke bar, a dance area and mostly always a live act. I spent many drunk hours there but its really good fun. The beer is cheep if you buy it in jugs and they are opwn until 4 am.

It is serves drinks so it has that on its side. The victory is a fairly old place and I am not sure the carpet has had a clean in a very long time. If you must go, best sit outside in the beer garden where the smell escape.

If you want to spend a quiet night, with live music and a good atmosphere, I recommend you drop by here. Drinks, like beer, are the cheapest in Brisbane. To get there is better to go by bus because there is no area to park. In the evenings on the weekend it is very crowded.

The Victory Hotel situated at the corner of Edward and Charlotte streets in the city is a great place to catch up with friends for a drink, a quick good quality lunch or full on dining in the evening, with great staff and reasonable prices.
