Comments of BentSpoke Brewing Co.
S. W.
When we first got to Canberra we didn't see that many people around, that's because they were all in here! Great choice of award winning beers. The menu is maybe not what you would expect for a brewery, but was good. Air-conditioned seating inside, more seating outside on the street. Decent atmosphere. Friendly staff. Quick service. Takeout available.
J. S.
The BentSpoke is a must-do destination when in Canberra. Even though I am not a beer drinker, my colleagues highly rate the brews there, and the few local ciders they serve are excellent.
What gives this place five stars for me is the food. The hot chicken wings are divine, as other reviews claim. The chilli is also very good. But the newly added Pig's Ear Burger... Oh... Wow. It is an experience. One of the best HAM burgers I've ever eaten. Burger aficionados rejoice, you should add the BentSpoke to add to your bucket list.
S. V.
Really nice brewery! They always have very nice options of beers. We tried the Farrer's wheat and the Silverback, both are really nice, good quality beers. Nice menu with vegan options, eggplant parmigiana was really nice. Nice atmosphere, great service and friendly staff. Highly recommended.
M. B.
Cool venue in downtown Canberra for craft beer. Great range of core beers and seasonal limited releases. Staff super knowledgeable and friendly. Great IPA’ the stratus beer was the best of the night
S. L.
Honestly amazing beer, service and atmosphere.
We just came back from a great night out, and a big part of it was the staff. They even came out from behind the bar to talk to us about their beer options (including accommodating one of us who is a coeliac), and generally just making sure our night was a winner.
I regret not asking for names so that I could say thank you properly for such a great night, but I hope this review goes some of the way towards that.
BentSpoke - thanks.
Steve.

Forget what you think a brewery is as Bentspoke breaks all the rules. A simply marvellous selection of Canberra's finest craft beers from a delicious chocolate porter through to their award winning Crankshaft IPA all served with a smile from the friendly staff who are always keen to let you sample some of their newer brews - try the truffle infused beer !
However the surprise for me was the food. An excellent variety of dishes from pulled pork through to an awesome vegetable curry. Place Bentspoke Brewery on you must-visit list for lunch or dinner. A rewarding experience.
M. B.
Very friendly bar staff - happy to let you taste before making a selection-I enjoyed a very fine dark beer. If only our nations parliament was as good as the beer!
A. D.
Excellent beers. We got 2 tasting paddles and must say that we were very impressed with the quality of each beer. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Huge space with plenty of seating.
W. G.
Lots of beers for ale aficionados to try but very little for dabblers in the way of other options eg cider. Great menu including some innovative veggie options. Def had full tums by the time we left. Relaxed vibe and friendly staff.
R. W.
A local brewery with decent beers! Red nut is my fav - boss approved!
F. G.
This place is great! Plenty of beers on tap, great beer and food recommendations from the staff. The atmosphere is amazing. The restaurant up top serves some great food too. Bit on the pricey side but it is definitely worth it. You just can't go passed the burger. Just look at it! Delicious.
K. S.
Canberra is lucky to have this establishment. Amazing beer as good as any nationally, great location, good food, friendly service.
Don't ever stop brewing company the Cluster 12 guys!
R. D.
My family and I had a great time last night at Bentspoke! Great food and the beers are awesome! The c8 and c12 are way too sweet for my pallet but worth trying just for the experience.
K. A.
My family took me to the Braddon pub to celebrate my birthday. I must say this was the cherry on the top for a wonderful day. The staff were friendly and a special shout out to Louie, who was absolutely fantastic. Now for the fun part, the beer was exceptional... and why won’t it be...It’s a brewery. I went for the four sampler beer which was a great choice. The chicken wings were awesome and an absolute go to. The other two dishes were fried cauliflower and big nut braised Texas chili. Both these dishes were less exciting, but filled the tummy. Would I go back...you bet I would.
G. K.
Highly recommend BentSpoke. They have added more plant based options on their menu, which is awesome!
Pros: awesome range of beer, nice atmosphere, great outdoor area, good menu, and lovely staff.
Cons: no XPA on the menu (as of just before Christmas 2021). I don't know much about beer making (just the drinking) so it could be a technical thing, but I feel that the menu needs an XPA.
I really miss the Skywhale beer. That beer was such a wonderful surprise! It was a special, but I was hoping that they would keep it on permanently (and sell it as part of their retail range).
P. D.
Quality beer and lots of variety on the tap. Nice place to chill and hang out. Popular brews have canned options as well for take aways.
J. T.
Amazing food! I mean, we came here for the beer and they did not disappoint, but the food exceeded expectations!
If you like spicy food, do yourself a favour and get the spicy chilli with flatbread. The hot stuff comes in a little side dish so you can adjust the heat to your liking. The whole thing is just flavour deluxe.
We also had the mac n cheese balls, which were perfectly deep fried, crunchy on the outside and deliciously gooey inside.
Z. R.
I've visited the Braddon Brew Pub several times and have always had a great time. Nice food and awesome brews.....highly recommend popping in there if your visiting Canberra.
C. K.
The beer is great, with a wide selection, and brewed on site. The food portions are very large and generous, but are simply too spicey. I ordered nachos without the meat, only to discover later that it had beef indeed. The plates were not cleared in a timely fashion and attracted a lot of flies quickly. The venue is clean and modern, lots of staff and no issues with them. Would return but wouldn’t eat there again, it simply wasn’t that enjoyable; the beers however are highly recommended.
T. H.
Craft beer hotspot for a respected local Canberra brewery.
The place gave off the vibe that the makers really loved their beer. There was a long dazzling list of cheeky named beer on the board with various sizes and IBU. Their beer menu included detailed taste notes, hop type and alcohol % to get you studying for at least 20 minutes. Their food menu appeared to be designed around the beer. Overall they present themselves as a very convincing beer fanatics.
I have managed to try 6 different beer that night, thanks to tasting available at the counter, as well as tasting board which gets you 4 beers, conveniently labelled for you. It was worth it because they all had distinct aromas and characters which kept it interesting til the end.
Having said that I could not find my favourite. Overall their beer tended to have high IBU and high alcohol % making them a bit harsh for my liking. Even the variety which stated relatively low IBU turned out pretty bitter. My personal thought was it somewhat hides all the lovely flavours. It also meant we got drunk much quicker than we would from drinking same amount of beer.
Looking forward to the next visit to try the rest of their varieties. Stratus is one I would have again.
M. O.
Was very happy to have visited bent spoke last time I was in Canberra. Great brewery in the downtown area with some excellent beers. Always enjoy trying local breweries when away on vacation. I will definitely be back next time I'm around their way!
J. W.
Great selection of craft beer and very tasty food to go with. Enjoyed the spicy wings and fish tacos. Modern venue with casual bar space, indoors and outdoors downstairs with sit down dining upstairs. 2 full service bars surrounded by the brewery itself. Staffed well, no waiting in a line to grab a drink.
V. J.
What a great place to visit and experience different types of beer . We pre Booked the slot for night with food and drinks and turn out to be great experience . The beers are great s with good side and main food dishes . Definitely recommend place to visit if you are in Canberra .
O. Y.
We went there for an afternoon drink before our bus back to Sydney. The variety and taste of beers were just great. The fries we ordered had an amazing spicy sauce that could even make me, who normally hates anything spicy, love it.
It was busy on a Saturday afternoon with the regulars and people like me. We could hardly find a seat for 3 but the wait was definitely worth it. Bentspoke is definitely a keeper and a must visit for anyone who goes to Canberra!
M. S. (.
Good
-Fantastic beers. Very yummy and tasty.
- Many different range of beers.
-Crankshaft is the 3rd winner of Aussie craft beers 2018 and it is my favourite. I can tell you that crankshaft tap beer is much better than can beer. That's why we should come here...lol
-Crankshaft, Red Nut and sproket are the best!
-Special edition Skywhale Ale is so good.
Bad
-Always full....
K. C.
Friendly staff, with a beer selection to please everyone. Accomodating wine list, including local wines. Food is consistently good and even if they sell out (because this place is popular!) there’ll have something else on the menu to cater.
A. S.
Really nice staff, good beers and good food. I appreciated that when we ordered a sample paddle with one that was a bit more expensive, our bartender let us know that upfront so there wasn't a surprise when everything was rung up. Definitely appreciate being told in advance rather than figuring it out afterwards. Outdoor seating has good heaters. Only thing to note on the food is that the roasted cauliflower bites is served cold. It tasted good, but just was unexpected. All in all, a good experience.
B. H.
Oh my, after waiting for 20 minutes to be seated I could see why this place was so busy. Came here after reading reviews and I can say I was impressed. I didn't have any food, but the beer selection was plentiful and the east coast IPA I had was stunning. My friend had some other fruity beer/sour and in the bar at the tap you could see fruit floating in the mixture.
Despite being smashed, the wait/bar staff were very accommodating and friendly. I had a quick chat to the bartended and through his in-depth knowledge of the product I was able to decide what I wanted very promptly. For those who don't know, like my friend, they also offered tastings to help you decide based on your preference.
Truly stunning and well decorated place, a little pricey but you get what you pay for here. Although I didn't have any food, what other customers received, and their comments would indicate that is good.
Next time I'm in Canberra I'll be making a stop at the BentSpoke brewing Co.
R. B.
I so much want to say all good things about this restaurant where we had dinner tonight. Unfortunately my main course was comprised of superb, local baby mussels that were destroyed by a watery, tasteless sauce. However , the smoky mac and cheese balls as an appetizer were great. And Karla's barramundi was a fine presentation of that local fish.
So what to say? Very good beer brewed on premises and some good dishes, but stay away from the mussels.
D. T.
Love the food and beer here. Travelled here from Melbourne and stayed nearby. Came here with our toddler and not expecting to be able to visit this place but I was surprised. It is actually very family friendly. Had the pork belly and hot wings and fried cauliflower. It was all very yummy.
J. B.
Well set out despite some wheels on display having no obviously bent spokes.
The staff are good and the beer is great.
HIGHLIGHTS = Their growlers are well priced, first one filled free :)
LOWLIGHT = Jalapeno's are rated 2,500 to 5,000 on the Scoville heat rating chart. The ones you served with the cob loaf dip seemed to hit low 5100's.........just saying.
Wish this was my local.

Stay for the beer avoid the steak, I’ve had quite a few of the snacks, Burgers and another bits and pieces at Bent Spoke but paid $41 for a very disappointing steak.
There was an overarching incorrect taste almost like it had been cooked over fresh charcoal briquettes not over charcoal, it was a little on the rare side but also very rubbery, very chewy which gave it an element of being tough and difficult to chew and swallow.
Their beer is still great and they also offer a few options that aren’t quite as heavy on the hops as normal.
Still highly recommend this place but boys you gotta up your steak game.
S. C.
We love this lively, modern, industrial pub and always pay a visit when we're in Canberra. It has a great vibe and is the perfect place to kick back with a drink and the food is good too (especially the hop potatoes!) With over 20 beers on tap, it can be hard to choose although the ginger beer gets my vote!
E. M.
Great craft beers and a liquor selection for the non beer drinkers. Had the Fish tacos twice and they tasted great both times. Service was always fast and never had a problem finding a seat. If you have a larger group you may have to wait for seating to open up during peak hours. Having had most of the popular US IPAs, there offering is on par, if not better.
M. b.
awsome beer n had the wings n probally the best wings i have had flavour wise try the skywhale ale to me it tasted like coloured popcorn foggy hazy was also awsome
P. F.
Brilliant Canberra brew beers, love the dark beers but full range is great...good bars snacks
G. C.
We organised to have our wedding photos here, and the staff were amazing! We were reserved a table and offered some drinks while the photos were taken. Completely blown away by the welcoming atmosphere and lovely staff! The drinks were amazing! And we got some incredible shots!
S. F.
Bentspoke has a really chilled out casual vibe. The lady behind the counter was super nice and gave us a run down of the brewing history. We ordered four beers and a ginger beer. All were really solid choices. Food is a available but we didn’t order any. Plenty of parking close by.
C. H.
Plenty of splendid brews on offer. Try a tasting paddle. Delicious menus for a bite to eat. Well worth a visit.
C. M.
Great tasting beer and lots of options. I had a great time at Bentspoke. It's nice and relaxed and they have a fantastic range of beer. The raspberry was my favourite and the pedal pale ale is really good as a low alcohol option. The tasting paddles are a great size letting you really get to sample each one. We didn't have food but looking around it looked good.
G. M.
Spent the afternoon of new years eve here and the atmosphere was great.
They brew there own beer so i had a couple of pale ales which had a nice kick to start off the night.
Once the beers were polished off we ordered the beef fajitas and mild chicken wings ( should of ordered the hot ones as the mild werent mild for my standards) and both dishes went very well with the beers.
They have many own brewed beers on tap with a good vibe about the place so would recommend this one.

While traveling back and forth to Canberra for work I had managed to always book a hotel right near Bentspoke. It’s the best brewery (imo) in Canberra and has the best mix of location, decor / comfort, food quality, service and beer offerings. My staple meal was the chili, as it’s just so hearty and filling. Pair that with a bunch of hefty beers and you’ve got a good night out!
W. T.
Had dinner and a few drinks here for my birthday while in Canberra. Could not speak highly enough of the food and the quality of the beer! The staff were very helpful and recommended some different styles of beer. Would highly recommend!
K. T.
I have been to this brewery a few times and was always impressed with the service. Recently, BentSpoke had their 7th birthday and I went there to celebrate. The food was incredible - especially the dessert! Whilst I personally do not drink beer, my partner also loved trying their new beers. I would definitely recommend going here.
N. (.
Great brewery with an awesome selection of beers and gourmet grub that's quite filling. The fit out of the place is modern. Got the nachos with beef but literally only had 7 small pieces (yes counted them lol) so not worth the 5$ extra.
D. H.
The online menu does not accurately reflect what is available on tap but the beer is good
A. v. d. S.
With an extensive and creative craft beer menu (most of it brewed by the brand) , including a hops wine, complimented by delicious food, this is a great place to spend time with friends and craft connoisseurs
M. O.
My must visit when I’m in Canberra. Consistently good beer and a wide selection. Always something new to try on the ‘hopinator’. The staff are friendly and enjoy a chat about the beer. Fully working brewery with that undeniable hops smell. 2 levels of restaurant and seating. Outdoor area which is always packed in summer. Food is nice and portions are good. I don’t go to eat however, the beer is what brings me back. A good place to relax and enjoy a few beers and read a book while wasting a few hours. It can get noisy during peak periods when it’s packed. Still worth the visit every time I’m in Canberra
C.
Great selection of interesting beer but the Porter was a bit watery. Excellent food but limited menu. Loved the warm nuts and olives.
W. H.
Top notch. Could be a reason to move to Canberra. Great beer selection, fantastic food, good staff and great atmosphere.
EDIT: Think my first review was posted 6 years ago and here I am 6 years later and still think this is the best brew pub in Australia. Great beers, good food and a welcoming, unintimidating environment - not just for beer nerds!
A. S.
Stunning range of beers. Especially IPAs. The best pub in Canberra for me hands down
C. M.
Fantastic beers, always a favourite in Canberra. Excellent food too.
N.
Delicious hot wings and a very generous portion! The pulled pork salad was okay but not really to my taste and a little heavy on the yoghurt. The others in my group really enjoyed their meals and I’m looking forward to going back and trying something different next time.
B. B.
A good exhibition. Took around 2 hours if you study near enough each portrait...
Alot to absorb but enjoyable
A. D.
A good brewery in the heart of the city.
Great food and a great selection of handcrafted beers.
d. h.
With all the scooters about the bike rack might need expanding.
A.
Just had the Roast bone marrow with Caramelised onion with Smoked Sea-salt on Char-grilled soy and linseed Bread... To die for! Best beer spot in Canberra!
c.
Used to be very good, but these days it is nearly impossible to get a table even for one or two people on a Wednesday or Friday night. Staff don't seem to try very hard and I even got in trouble for just popping upstairs to check! Turns out there was room up there for me so not sure why I wasn't supposed to look if the staff weren't checking for me.
Beer is tasty, though. If you can actually try it.
A. A.
We purposefully choose accommodation close to the Bent Spoke when we come to Canberra so we can walk home from one of the best craft breweries in Canberra. The food is exceptional and the variety of beers has something for everyone, I particularly like their ginger beer.
L. C.
15 beers on tap (full range from malty to hoppy), two hand-pulled, 1 cider, 1 ginger beer; four of the beers were more than 7% ABV. Unique sample servers. There’s an upstairs section and outdoor patio. Can view the brewery facilities behind two-storey-high glass walls. Too bad no WiFi.
J. G.
They make beer and bring out water for your dog. What more do you and your best friend need?
O. G.
My fav beer, my favourite place. You should try those wings. The best beer ever!
M. R.
Great pub with excellent tap selections including two hand pulled selections. Menu has good options reasonable prices and a lair back atmosphere.
T. M.
Great local craft beer and a decent menu. One of my favourite places for a drink in the whole city.
E. V.
Best craft beer in Australia. Decent grub. Enough said.
E. B.
Great selection of interesting and tasty beers, decent food, and good atmosphere.
T. S.
Great beers and good food. Good idea to make a booking beforehand.
B. S.
We went with the family for a late lunch (4 adults and 2 children). We were sat upstairs. Food and service were great. I missed the ginger ale, which is not on offer currently. My husband certainly liked the beer. The only negative was that the restaurant felt very loud, which made it difficult to include every one in the conversation.
J. H.
It’s a must if you like to explore beer. Although I found the staff weren’t very educated on their product.
H.
Really like their beer. If you come to Canberra, try it.
M. M.
Always great beer with new things on tap and all your Bentspoke favorites. Currently fixated on the Fixie.
N. S.
We went here for the beer. It’s the best, I tried the Whale Ale and Braddon Bitter. Decided to have lunch and we really enjoyed it, super tasty! The kids loved their meals too. Friendly service, we’ll definitely be back.
C.
A massive selection of beers, and a tasting tray will help you find a favourite pretty fast. The food was great and staff lovely, I'd definitely go back again.
B. S.
BentSpoke was already almost full when we arrived just after 4pm on Friday. Great place. Wide selection of their own beers, many of which we hadn’t had before. Crankshaft is always a favourite.
C. S.
The booking was easy and our table was ready on arrival. We were upstairs and the staff were friendly and attentive. The menu was expansive and reasonably priced. We got a bunch of starters to share and the two standouts were the cauliflower and the pork belly. I had the beef Chili which was a hearty portion. I asked for the really hot chili which loved up to its reputation. There is a wide selection of beers but also other drinks including wines and spirits.
K. W.
Popular themed micro brewery and bar. Each of the beers are themed on the name of the venue, good facilities inside and out with views of their brewery. Extensive range of beer and friendly knowledgeable staff.
S. W.
An ever changing selection of weird and wonderful beers. With social distancing, it was good to not be cheek-to-jowl. My only complaint is the $40 deposit per person for a booking. While I understand the reasoning, a charge of $30 which would cover a meal and a pint of beer would be more reasonable.
J. P.
Great beer and food. Great place to catch up with mates.
J. W.
Friendly and relaxed atmosphere in the micropub with plenty of space. The Crankshaft is lovely and voted best beer in Australia this year. The small food menu is eclectic and very good.
J. x.
We only had a quick drink there, very good beer at reasonable price!
k. k.
Great Beers, Service and FOOD! not just a brewpub!!
A. W.
Nice bar with locally made beers on tap. Crankshaft being my favourite one.
M. B.
Fantastic brewery, great beer selection and food was delicious. Well set out and love the open vat viewing. Great service too, definitely be back
P. C.
Great atmosphere! Parking was a challenge and noise level not good for the hard of hearing. But the food is great and the beers on the list for my next visit when not driving.
V. S.
Always love the beer here and the food is great.
N. B.
Lots of good vibe here, great place to meet up and try their range of brews.
Didn’t try the food, but the person who recommended we visit, did eat here, and said it was excellent—-will try their food next time for sure
T. E.
Great spot for a cold award winning beer on a hot day in Canberra. Good central location. Food was delicious and good size servings. Great spot to visit during a visit to Canberra.
H. D.
This is the third time I've eaten at bent spoke and each time the menu has been different and each time delicious. All of their staff were super friendly and knowledgeable. I can't recommend this place more highly.
If you are venturing to Canberra Bent Spoke is a must
S. C.
I asked for the hottest wings and they provided some really hot wings that were tasty as well. Cannot ask for more. 5 star service great beer and food. Thank you for a great time
D. B.
Great craft beers. Staff are friendly and welcoming.. great environment, will definitely go back again
S. B.
Excellent beer and food, friendly staff, relaxed community vibe. But it really is all about the beer... One of Australia's best, here in Canberra!
C. H.
Loved Bentspoke and would recommend to anyone visiting Canberra who likes great beer as a must visit. Beer is phenomenal and gluten free enough for me (a coeliac) to drink. Fish tacos were excellent. Staff were, knowledgeable, attentive and super friendly. We’ll be eating and drinking here every time we’re in the Canberra area.
M. C.
Yummy beer. Yummy fish tacos. Was the easiest, quickest and coolest place ;-) to book online "post lockdown", now that we can't just 'turn up' anywhere and expect a table. ...both of us hadn't lived in Canberra for over 20yrs so we had no idea where to go! Friendly service. Impressed and relieved.
N.
Unbelievable amount of beers on tap. The staff are so friendly and welcoming.
L. G. (.
Worth visiting a local Canberra brewery if you get the chance 👍
R. V. b.
Awesome range of beers available to accompany good choice of small and large plates to suit any occasion! Knowledge and service was exceptional, and $40pp minimum spend for bookings was easy to reach with couple of share plates and a 4 pack to take home..! 🤩
Can't go wrong!
C. R.
Tasty food, tasty beers
S. M.
Always a good time here. Good food, good vibes, great beer.
D. S.
Every time we travel to Canberra from Sydney, we stay within walking distance of Bentspoke and it isn't a coincidence. I love the beer but the food is amazing, which keeps the rest of my family coming back in with no complaint. The fit out is pretty special as well - love both the green wall and the overall bicycling theme.
C. C. S. A.
Such an epic beer the crankshaft and the sprocket are epic. Being a full beer snob and taster I would rate these guys as one of the best pretty sure I should have shares in the company
M. B.
Great pub/ small brewer. Great beer, quick service, pub food... great place to go for arvo sess
H. R.
Great selection of beer with great meals to match. I’ll be back.
A. L.
Lovely relaxing atmosphere in the nation’s capital. Great choice of beer with delicious food on the side.
B. G.
Came here for a function and wasn't disappointed. Great food and selection of beer and cider.
P. F.
It’s always a pleasure to visit Bentspoke when in Canberra. Their beers are fantastic and the staff are friendly and knowledgeable. The food is delicious and the portions are generous. I haven’t been for a few months but I was remembered and the styles of beer I like - big and dark - were recommended with food pairings. I was even tempted into the ginger beer. Thanks team, it was a fantastic evening.
C. G.
Great atmosphere accompanied with great options of Beer. Will need a to visit again to try out more of the variations. Enjoyed the Wings, Nuts and Olives with the Beer. Great combination - You won't be disappointed.
G. G.
As a beer reviewer on Instagram, Big_G_Beer, it is always nice to see staff go out of their way to ensure that you have a great time, it is always better though when you notice them doing that with all of the patrons. The lovely manager Rahne down at Bentspoke was amazing, not only was she attentive and entertaining, she was like that with all of the clients. I also noticed all of the other staff were the same. The food was delicious and the beer was amazing!! My wife, kids and I had an awesome time and will most definitely be back in next time we pass through Canberra.
M. B.
One of the best bars and brewpubs in Canberra. Great service from the staff even taking care of our little man (1 y o). Great beers and great hospitality. What more could you ask for.
A. V.
Took my wife for lunch on advice from a mate a couple of Fridays ago. The lady serving would rather have been anywhere else but there. No smile, no greeting, no run down on the beers or the tasting options, dump food at your table and go, just absolute poor customer service. Quickly moved our attention to the guy serving who was more than accommodating. Food and beers were great, just a bit pricey. Will go there again.
E.
Delicious special edition Oktoberfest beers and eats coupled with great service and a relaxed vibe.
M. S.
Multiple vegan options. Eggplant schnitzel was crisp and fresh. Tried a delicious fruity beer. Friendly staff. Can't ask for much more!
L. S.
Great beer and atmosphere but far out they need to review their portion sizes. If I didn’t laugh when I received my cob loaf that I paid $16 for I would’ve cried. The entire cob loaf could fit in the palm of my hand and I definitely wasn’t the only person who was absolutely shocked by the size of the dish when receiving it.
Awesome watering hole but would recommend getting a feed from neighbouring businesses.
c. _.
Great beer. Excellent food and service. Book a table in advance to ensure you get one!
J. L.
Fantastic in all aspects. Highly recommend the salmon, generous proportions, well balanced flavours for a very reasonable price. Service was prompt and considerate. An excellent way to treat yourself either individually or as part of group.
The wine (Shiraz for me) was delicious especially for a venue known for their beers. I will definitely be back each time I'm in Canberra.
J. S.
Food was great, beer was good. The waiting staff seemed to pass us by too much when we wanted to order. Would have been 5 stars if we weren't ignored, but otherwise good experience.
K. M.
Absolutely phenomenal. My partner and I were made to feel so welcome. Rowan the duty manager was very accommodating. The sirloin steak was cooked to perfection (kudos to the chef) and the beers are to die for. If you haven't tried BentSpoke's Crankshaft before, then now is your time!
J. E.
Popped in whilst visiting Canberra. Great beer 🍺
R. B.
I struggle to rate this page fairly because for me it was one of a vanguard of hospitality venues that raised the bar in Canberra. This place makes good beer. And it's in a great spot, and it's easy. Probably underrated.
D. A.
Good food! Great service! Good selection of tasty beers!
I. D.
Regular visitor when in Canberra. The nachos are to die for! The beer is pretty bloody good as well. Highly recommend Crankshaft and How's it Gosen? I love the idea of the detailed beer menu. Friendly staff, excellent pricing and a nice vibe.
p. a.
Lunch yesterday was excellent, food, drinks and very attentive service. The guys were working hard to accommodate the COVID requirements and did a fantastic job. Best lunch in a long time. Booking system is a great idea.
G. B.
Great selection of beers, brewed on the premises and these change seasonally so always interesting. Food options have become increasingly gourmet rather than normal pub food, but that’s not a bad thing although some of the prices can be. Did I mention the tasty beer though? Definitely worth a drink or 20.
J. B.
Spent a week in Canberra and came to this spot 3 times! Place is buzzing even on a week night. Great selection of craft beers and food (even for a vegetarian), mac and cheese balls are a must. Only downside is they don't provide takeaway boxes if you don't finish your meal, would have been nice to take my leftovers home.
C. R.
Fantastic atmosphere - upstairs staff know customer service, they're brilliant - on the other hand - have never sat downstairs - downstairs has a greater range of beers - LOVE THIS PLACE!!!
#FatDad #Canberra #Australia 🦘🇦🇺🦘
S.
Great beers and service is okay. Food is good but very over priced in terms of the serving sizes. $27 for nachos with beef. Ouch! Upstairs area is so loud, you can barely hear anyone talk unless you yell at each other. Would stay downstairs for a drink but skip the food and go somewhere else.
P. C.
Great beers in a nice setting, friendly and attentive staff too. I loved the small beer tastes before we bought a round. Respectful Covid hygiene too. I will return
G. R.
Probably the best craft beer in Canberra and one of the best in all Australia. A lot of different kinds for every taste.
K. A.
Been looking forward to visiting bentspoke for 3 years since I had my first sip of the crankshaft. The beers and Dalton's team were absolutely brilliant... I'm gonna have to make the drive upto Canberra more often
L. B.
Wide range of beers on tap, and a very good selection of dishes. Recommend everyone to try every single beer - you can cheat a little bit by ordering a tasting paddle (4 beers in one go) - until you find your favourite one. The place is pretty cool, but mind your wallet as things are on the pricey side.
W. P.
Massive range of brewed in house beers (no s%^& it's a brewing company) and the food is a solid effort as well. I had the beef chilli and the wings well worth your time!
A. N.
One of the top brewery places in Australia for Craft Beer. Get on it. The food is just as good as the liquids. This place is a great little spot, central to Canberras lively Braddon district. Easy 5 stars.
J.
Great beer as we all know. But the food is also excellent. Do yourself a favour and have yourself a pint of Mort Gold and try it with the fish tacos and pork belly. Just superb!
G. T.
The beers are great, with a wide selection of craft beer on tap. Good is really nice, although not the broadest selection. It's all about the beer here. Staff are friendly and are more than happy to help you find a beer to suit your tastes. You'll have a great time here!
K. W.
One of my favorite places to visit, and a must to visit whenever I’m in Canberra! The beers are sensational with regular limited releases on offer. They have great food and the staff are awesome. Could not recommend Bentspoke more highly!! Just thinking about it is making me thirsty!
E. P.
Awesome beers and soo many to choose from! Love the tasting paddle, lets you taste multiple different beers without getting too.....happy! 🤪
P. O.
Venue is great, beer on offer is sensational and food was enjoyable. My only complaint and where they lose a star is the cost of beers. They do not serve pints or schooners but sizes called large and small. A large is definitely a lot smaller than the size of a pint but they still charge $13-$15 for a large.
J. G.
One of the world’s finest breweries. If you like top shelf beers and knowledgeable staff it’s well worth checking out!
R. T.
Canberra brewer, just earnt 8th place on GABS hottest 100 for their Crankshaft Orange IPA. Enjoy in moderation :-)
L. V.
Do to Covid-19 had to pre-book and pay but it was worth it. $40 gets you a meal and 3 beers. Also due to restrictions it was table service only. The service was excellent, friendly and did very well to remember beers we ordered (8 of us). Food was delicious and beers were fantastic!
B. K.
A fantastic brewery in the heart of Canberra. They have a variety of beers, including a Ginger Beer and Cider, and they serve delicious food. The smoked Mac and Cheese balls were absolutely amazing! A great place to go for any occasion.
S. S.
During our week in Canberra, we went here twice. The beer is great and the bar itself is really cool. The food is more appetizers/things to share but everything we had was delicious.
K. H.
Delish beers, Likeable inside design
E. K.
Great atmosphere. Had the mulled apple ginger which was great for a cold winter evening. The food was good too as the lamb burger was delicious. We dined upstairs and I enjoyed reading the posters there. One of them read "Beer! Because no great conversation ever started with salad.".
A. F.
We were pleased to find we were staying within walking distance of this brew bar and chose it for dinner and were so happy we did! I'm not wild on beer, but tried the raspberry and mint beer which was excellent, my husband loved the cider. Food is delicious and generous portions. Go early if you want a seat outside, it was very busy on a Tuesday night, we sat upstairs which was good, great vibe and awesome staff.
O. L.
Had a work lunch here today. Staff were accommodating and service was pretty good for a largish group. Folks ordered at the bar and food arrived as it was ready. I had the ricotta stuffed mushrooms which were very nice. All the other meals looked equally nice. Many different beers were tried and it was all dealt with in around an hour.
S. A.
Amazing service, food and beer! I have never felt more welcomed at a venue like this before, also a special thank you to Dalton for his help! Will be back next visit to Canberra 100%
H. o. P.
This place is seriously good. Ive done brew pubs in Seattle, Philly, San Fran, NZ, London and all round the country. These guys are outstanding with taste mix. Hops to die for. Best IPA I have had for 2 decades and know their stuff.
J. M.
Incredible beer we tried a few different ones in the time we were there and they were all brilliant. The food selection that we ordered was incredible. We had 6 dishes to share between 3 and the food was incredible far too much. Squid was cooked perfectly, the Texas chilli was to die for and the smoked Mac and cheese balls were incredible. I highly recommend this place to any one in the area.
E. D.
Good beer, cool staff, menu felt a bit overpriced, was a pleasant experience but probably wouldn't go again
C. T.
First of all, food and beer were great. Like everywhere I think COVID is creating a bit of havoc and uncertainty and Benty was no exception. Pre-booked paying the $40 per head and you only got 80mins. We had to wait almost 10 mins as there was some confusion and staff were still clearing out the previous sitting. The food (which was great) did take some time to come out to our table loosing us more of our precious 70 minutes. With food still on the table and pints half full we were asked to vacate for the next sitting. I understand COVID is having a huge affect on businesses like this and I hope that maybe they have been able to fine tune things a little since our visit. Our experience just felt very rushed and we walked away feeling like we did not get our $40 dollars worth (food un-eaten and drinks un-finished). I also note they have increased their booking time to 110mins which I think will definitely have improved things.
T. A. J. S.
Great range of craft beer with bold authentic flavors, (I've had a couple knock me about lol.) Mostly friendly and attentive staff. Speaking of range they have some very easy going drinks as well (Cider and ginger beer!) They can be packed to the rafters sometimes so pick your times well!
R. C.
Awesome place, great variety of beer and their flights are really unique. Great vibe and highly recommend.
E. L.
Staff ok but mac and cheese are good.
l. d.
Wide range of good beers, I enjoyed the barley griffin and the crankshaft. Food is good as well, could have got 5 stars if the nacho's came with beef and didn't cost extra. Can't find the current menu online but it was about $30 for nacho's which is a bit pricey, however it is a large serve and it was tasty.
M. T. C.
Great local venues like BentSpoke may eventually make Canberra a tolerable place to live. Not in my lifetime, but there's hope for the rest of you.
Excellent craft beer that wins national attention.
Friendly, knowledgeable, helpful staff.
A shiny new building that's fit for purpose.***
Although the bandits in government keep beer prices artificially high, the prices are no higher than what we've all come to expect.
Takeaway cans are available, too.
So, full marks to Richard and the BentSpoke crew.
Long may you run.
*** (I admit that I'm no fan of the Pompidou Centre style -- buildings with "the guts on the outside", which can get so frustratingly loud -- but this place was designed for a different sort of cat than me.)
A. B.
Great service, beer and food (yummy squid 🐙)
R. d. Z.
Cool place with heaps of beers on tap to try. The Sample Platter of 4 beers I good value at $18 but individual beers are pretty pricey.
M.
Great beer selection. Would recommend the fish tacos but the nachos were not that good.
D. W.
Loved the beers here. Full bodied. Great range. Wasn't expecting a lot in my visit to Canberra, but was pleasantly surprised with beers on tap. Disappointed my weak legs won't let me sample the Citra 16 - Belgian Style Quadruple IPA.
T. M.
Great variety of beers with friendly service. Interesting variety of food which is awesome!
A. D.
The place to go in Canberra for a great selection of beers. And some history lessons through the beer names. Also some well thought our decor. The food is gourmet pub fare at a reasonable price. I miss the brains from the sharing menu though 😀
S. M.
Brilliant food and service. The beers are top notch. The squid tacos are brilliant. The friendly atmosphere and great service is on point.
J. S.
These guys know how to brew a beer. Exceptionally tasty blends with great variety; there's definitely something for everyone here. Although it can be a tad expensive, the professional staff and pleasant ambience make this a fantastic place to sit down for a pint or two.
M.
Dalton did his best work today, what a top bloke.
I wish I had three of him working at my business.
Cheers BentSpoke!
D. L.
It's been over 2 months since our family holiday to Canberra and still the greatest memory my kids have of that trip is your chips. Yum! Beers pretty good too.
P. J.
The place to go in Canberra as far as I can tell. Excellent venue, great beers, food is excellent , staff exceptional ... on future visits to Canberra this will be the place I return to ... noticed a few other venues on our wander around the city centre area , though nothing for me came close to Bentspoke ... my only question mark was why I wasn't able to order a small bowl of Texas chili after 3pm if I can order a large size ? ... must be a reason though seems odd ... ordered tacos instead which were excellent ... well done guys ... well done
k. d.
Very good place. Some of these craft breweries are for hipster males only but Bentspoke is female friendly, innovative, and help women enjoy what they sell. This is very clearly the countries best brew pub.
O. S.
Oh my! Their wings are the best! Get the wings, extra bent if you like the spice ;) whoooa they are hot and so delicious!
Apart from the wings they have awesome staff who will personally help you pick a beer based on your taste. They have specials through the week. They have a great atmosphere and a large space for you and your friends / work mates with outdoor and indoor seating.
Nothing bad or even mild about this place. It's great.
L. L.
Great venue! Very busy on weekends. There is an upstairs which has seating and unique decor. The Bentspoke beer comes in a variety of flavours and they are quite delicious. They serve food here which is also delicious!
s. e.
Amazing beer and service, you don't have to be an expert and they will help you find the right beer to try.
The food is alright, but the beer is the star attraction
G. M.
A brewery that needs no introduction. Their selection of beers is the best in Canberra hands down. The staff are extremely knowledgeable, if you don't fancy yourself a beer expert ask the bar staff what you should have. They will give you a recommendation based on the beers you like. And trust me, it will blow you a way. If you haven't been, you are missing out.
K. D.
Amazing selection of beers, knowledgeable staff and huge food portions - what else do you need on a cold rainy day 😊 Thanks for having us!
T. v. L.
Great selection of craft beer on tap with nicely matched food. Wonderful atmosphere with attentive and knowledgeable staff.
I'm an out-of-towner and came here with a friend. Thoroughly enjoyed our decision!
L. C.
Wonderful food and drink options. I personally love the fish tacos and ginger beer. Like the industrial feel of the brewery and I think that the styling of the place is spot on. The best for casual Sunday drinks :)
K. V.
Mick was especially helpful. He helped us find the perfect beers for us. For me it was the award winning “Red Nut” and for my husband the “crankshaft” we also enjoyed a glass each of the Silverback. The food was amazing too. Nachos were $24 for a single portion. We shared but I would have eaten the whole bowl to myself. The homemade tortillas made it. And the beef was delicious. (Shame all the love was on show on top and there was just bland tortillas at the bottom. Although I devoured them too with some leftover wing sauce and aioli from the very original wings we also shared and I thought was a generous portion-large)
I wished I lived closer so this could be my local.
D. R.
Cracking good beers! Great range. Barman was very friendly and knowledgeable on the beers. Even the Mrs. Could find a beer she enjoyed! You guys just need to get an outlet in Geelong!
B. C.
Best beer in Canberra. Big range, many styles, all their own brews. Good atmosphere and super friendly staff. Excellent value for money too.
C. S.
If you can't find a beer here you like you should probably come to terms with the fact you're a Carlton Draft drinker.
As a bonus the food is great, and the bar staff have personalities you would expect iof the "hospitality" industry.
The only downside is it's in Canberra and I dont live there! Maybe I'll move
C. D.
This is amazing food, and amazing beers brewed in house at their micro brewery. Best cider I've ever had, dry hopped blend of delicious apples! A chili twist on Buffalo wings and the cold meats plate is to die for! Worth it!
J. M.
The beer is 5 stars for sure. But they've changed the menu slightly (and chef?). Result is their former black bun chicken burgers, which were thick and juicy, are now a plain white roll with thin poor quality overcooked chicken. Chips no where near as good either. The mussles dish has also lost its zing. Oh well, only go there for beers now.
W. H.
One of the best beers in the land. Not only is the canned beer beautiful, you get to the pub and there are even more brews on tap. Very hard to control yourself in place. Love it!!
H.
The service was great, polite staff, prompt for service and even waived the bill on a meal that was pre-ordered by a staff member that couldn't make it.
The Brindabella cider was awesome but seems pricy at $8.50 for a small glass. Or it may be that I've not gone out for a while...
But where the fifth star was taken away was the chicken burger. It was pretty soggy and I don't think they nailed the coleslaw.
Other than that it was a great afternoon and definitely worth coming back to.
P. G.
Better than average pub-style food. Nice seating inside and out. Stupendous range of beers brewed onsite.
A.
Your beers are amazing, very big fan. Your food is so average though. I suppose after 4 or 5 Sprockets you wouldn't notice though.
Eat somewhere else.
J. S.
Best craft beer and brewery experience in Canberra. An edgy bar split across two storeys and spilling onto the street with the tanks in plain sight. A bar on each floor means you won’t be delayed in sinking your teeth into Bentspoke’s fantastic range - ensure you leave knowing the Crankshaft, Barley Griffin, and Sprocket.
The beer range is epic and partly seasonal so there’s always something new. Try the Big Nut and use your local knowledge to ask if the Red Nut is in season. For those hoppy-beer lovers, you’re well covered, same goes for the pale ale and lager lovers. Sours are a little light owing to their seasonal nature, but the one gose, Hows it Gosen, is ideally balanced for multiple rounds.
The food also matches the high brow beers. The nachos are architectural and brilliantly avocado-covered; the steak will satisfy, but may need a side; for the spicy lovers the wings come in a very spicy variant that is magnificent!
Go here to feel at home among your people - the beer-lovers of the World, and enjoy the tasting tray to ensure you aren’t missing out on any of the great drops!
D. M.
beautiful experience during my short trip to canberra. pleasant conversation with the bartender, who offered me multiple samples. some rly great crafts on offer here. the slow cooked pork w/ salad was great. definitely check this place out if u can. i live in sydney but ill definitely be back.
J. Y.
Great beer and you can take away and KEEP the bottle 🍻😎
M. P.
Always a treat to visit Bentspoke. Staff are always friendly helpful and courteous. Always feel looked after. Food is amazing and of course the Beer is awesome.
A. E. M.
After a while far from the Belgian beer vibe, I finally came across a great place comparable to those back in Brussels. Great beer menu with plenty of options that would definitely suit any requirements and a excellent customer service. This place exceeds by far my expectations!
A. D.
This place is like all your other rustic looking breweries with the tanks everywhere but their beers on tap are pretty good.
I'm here by myself trying their tasting paddle that showcases all their strongest beers which had gotten me significantly drunk. I did try their mushroom stuffed with ricotta which sufficiently stuffed me.
The only downside is I came by myself and went to get another beer and left one mushroom to signify that I hadn't finished. The waiter had other ideas however and tried to clear my plate. So I hunted that guy down and got my mushroom back!
So come down here now and try the beers.
P. L.
Loved the hand pump
FUGG 'N CHINO
A Robust Porter with a rich chocolate maltiness named after Rich and Tracy’s puppies, Fuggles and Chinook
Food very nice
B. H.
One of my favorite breweries. I last visited in 2015 during the release of Descent 15. Epic beer, world-class mates, great venue celebrating how hip Canberra is (despite all their politician parents).
L. C.
Excellent range of beer including the rare existence of two hand pumps dispensing two very fine ales. The food is quite good but they need to work on their chips to impress a Brit as much add their beer does.
K. S.
Great Craft Beers 🍻
P. A.
Good food. Quick. Chilli was real nice
P. H.
Great beers.
Great place to catch-up with friends.
If you don't know what beer to try, the knowledgeable boutique barstaff can match you up with your palate (& even get a taste before you dive into a pint or seven).
C. C.
One of the biggest beer menus I have seen! A great vibe inside with quick service! I highly recommend the smoked Mac and cheese balls!!
S. M.
Great food and beer. Knowledgeable staff and a lovely setting. Definitely recommend.
M. S.
'm a huge fan of beer.
I'm a huge fan of cycling.
I'm a massive fan of Bentspoke, every trip to the nation's capital I return with a case of tinnies safely tucked away in the boot & more often than not I'll drop into their pub to sample some of their beers that aren't available in cans or elsewhere.
The food is perfectly matched for beer drinking. Mac n cheese balls have become a bit of a Canberra thing but Bentspoke's are the business.
Only warning is it regularly gets very crowded & noisy but hey it's a pub what do you expect.
M. H.
On a recent visit to the capital I went to see where one of my favourite "beers in a can" comes from - the wide mouth beer can is a great idea BTW. Wasn't disappointed, great atmosphere, a touch exy on some of the food but recommend a visit!
C. J.
Great beer, great food, great service!!! Lovely atmosphere and a+ location
A. G.
Fun venue! Pretty busy, but good atmosphere and service. Food was tasty. The lager was nice, however not a fan of the mulled apple cider... Would come back nonetheless!!!
J. E.
Great food and excellent service, Nellie our server was amazing and made it a great afternoon - beer and cider was great to.
S. K.
I would give 5 stars for their beer, but the new canned ginger beer tastes, well, strange.
We bought some the other night, and everyone agreed and said they wouldnt buy it again.
Its a shame because their other beers are AMAZING!
L. R.
Delicious food, great staff, amazing beers and they help you to choose which one you will like. Good location, very close to city centre and close to bus and tram stations
C. M.
Awesome Beer, Awesome Food, Awesome Company, and the fact that BentSpoke host the start/finish of the Cloud Ride 1000 is awesomeness at its best. :) (PS: bring back the wide mouth cans !!).
B. C.
Love the big nut beer. It is one of the best dark ales I have had in a long time. The food and atmosphere are great. My GI to place in Canberra.
D. M.
Excellent beers- especially the ones that you can’t buy in cans. good food too. It’s a shame they don’t do glass growlers though, their branded metal one can’t go in a fridge.
J. M.
I must admit I have a soft spot for Bentspoke. Being a huge fan of Craft beers, especially local craft beers, BentSpoke is a fantastic location to meet friends for a snack and beers after work or make your way into the city from wherever you are for a night out.
Wings and Chips are great and the beer is even better.
R. C.
Nice spot for a beer, there is a lot more on tap than you can get in can's elsewhere which is fantastic, their sour beers on tap are pretty top notch and worth going just for those (if you are into that)
Staff are nice, outside tables are the place to be.
N. S.
There's no question that this could be the best brewery in Canberra; they have not only a collection of 20+ beers for you to try, but they also have excellent food.
P. A.
This place is great, really enjoy the atmosphere, the staff are always friendly and the beer is great. I think its a little expensive and would enjoy a few more mid strength beers on the menu, so pipping a star for those ones.
J. E.
Amazing local beers brewed in Canberra. Very highly recommended for beer enthusiasts. Delicious food, great staff, great atmosphere, perfect location, amazing beer.
C. W.
Great atmosphere, but the beer lacked flavour. I asked for the hoppiest option and it was, in my opinion, pretty weak. It does have a large variety of beers on tap and I didn’t try the food but it looked good.
B. L.
They have amazing share plates (the cauliflower small and Mac n cheese bites are delicious) and the staff make great recommendations - we can’t wait to come back :)
I. G.
Our favourite place in Canberra. Fresh beer, good food and a great owner. A couple of the staff can be rude sometimes, but not that's not going to stop us from coming back!
S. K.
Great brewery in the ACT. Must've had about 30 things on tap. Really impressed overall. Get amongst it!
M. H.
Very good variety of excellent beer and food. I really liked the good service
F. M.
Arguably the best pub in town. Great craft beer. Food is good too. Great environment, very relaxed. Go there very often. Especially good in the summer, when you can sit outside .
L. L.
The best craft beer in town, and some very good food to be washed down by it. Of course, this means it is extremely popular, so it can be a bit difficult to find a table; and parking is almost non-existent.
A. B.
Great service, awesome food and the best beer in Australia. This is a must visit if you are in Canberra!
G. B.
18 taps is a lot for any pub, but it's extravagant for a pub that brews all their own. No favorites so far but the beer is generally very good. Good relaxed vibe, even when it's crowded on a Friday night.
S. D.
Best beer in Canberra, sample drinks where great. frenzy is just one of the many beer's you can get, nice and fruity. great food.
G. R.
A Canberra institution with a great range of creative and tasty beers - will not disappoint.
A. R.
Excellent beers, and fairly central in Braddon (where all the good bars are). They brew on-site. Try the chill beer for something different! Their ginger beer is superb too!
R. R.
Great atmosphere and the staff are super friendly and accommodating. Always great for a catch up with friends and the beer is some of the best in Aus.
D. A.
Delicious beer range and great atmosphere
N. H.
Lovely beer. The mac n cheese balls were a big hit with the kids. Watch out for the hot wings though! We went the normal level heat and they were damn hot!
S. W.
Good atmosphere, great beer!
S. M.
The service was fantastic and the staff are more than happy to recommend what you are after, be it either food or the beer.
Great atmosphere as well. Highly recommended
P. S.
Mmmm, beer was good but they stuffed up our order for food and beverage, overcharged us and then the food order came out in dribs and drabs, had to ask where the rest of our order was, they were incompetent and pathetic, what a shame as I love their beer !
D. M.
Cracker of a joint.
There on a Friday night when it was full and (reasonably) loud which made for a great atmosphere.
Fabulous selection of beers with great staff. Food menu could be a little broader but what we had was pretty good.
M. H.
I love this place! Every time I visit Canberra I try to come here. Great food, great beer and a cool setup being able to see the working brewery. Friendly staff too.
A. H.
Really great place, fun idea of mixing beers and bikes. Great atmosphere, the actual craft beers we tried were fairly average but being so new I reckon once they fine tune their be vies this place will be great!
C. D. S.
🍔 Herbed chicken burger was delicious
🥗 Pulled pork salad was definitely an interesting experience: pork was tasty, but not sure if it all worked together with the yoghurt and rocket
🍻 Crankshaft IPA was veeeeery tasty 🤪
D. G.
The kitchen got the order wrong. They refired the meal, gave us a free beer! The beer is amazing as we all know, but the service is beyond reproach. Fixing a mistake like they did proves that. Go here, drink, love it!
J. G.
Having deliberated over the unremarkable menu for some time.. we went for the cheese platters and the hot and sour salmon. The platter was ordinary and the hot and sour salmon wasn't.. hot and sour..
Beers were good though, and staff friendly and efficient.
T. H. E.
Not a bad place for also taking the kids for a meal if on a trip to the capital. The beer is also for ladies as well, and the ladies their tell all the ladies what is the special brew I was very impressed.
P. B.
I visited a couple of times in 2015, great food and spectacular beers! My favourite craft brewery in the country, congrats on making the top 100 craft beers list for 2015!
5. Y.
Great beers and ciders!! Friendly staff! We shared meat & cheese platter that completed our Sunday afternoon relaxer!!
M. W.
Excellent beers, excellent food, nice chilled out atmosphere. If you're in Canberra looking for dinner and a beer I cannot recommend a better spot.
Z.
Sprawling brewery with a wide range of beers on top. Alfreso and indoor seating available.
L. G.
Amazing! The Service, food and beers were all top quality. Can not fault this Venue. I will recommend to anyone with an ear. 👌🏼
A. L.
Fantastic selection of in-house beers, tasty well cooked marinated chicken wings and splendid nachos. Highly recommended.
J. W.
The cheese platter was great, the variety of cheeses and crackers made great snacks for a glass of home brewed beer. A nice place to hang out with friends over the weekends.
k. m.
Great beers , great little spot. Friendly helpful staff. Will keep coming back.
R. S.
Very nice cold homebrew beer , the food tasted good .. I ordered the chicken burger but the chicken was not crispy and looked like it could cook a bit longer
All and all great place for dinning
A. R.
Amazing food ... chilli con carne, bbq corn, crispy chicken burgers and so much more. Relaxed vibe with great outdoor patio area ... perfect for a tasty lunch/dinner and ice cold tap beer. Highly recommend !
D. P.
100% worth the visit. Very nice atmosphere, tasty unique brews as well as reasonably priced food. The chicken wings are sensational!
S. D.
Great selection and quality of beer. Appreciated the offers to sample the beers. Food was also good quality, but a tad expensive.
J. E.
The beers are SENSATIONAL and the food was fab. Seriously worth a trip to Canberra...
L. T.
Amazing beers, friendly staff, and great pub food. They have really interesting brews on top of a cool space and a laid-back atmosphere.
R.
Enjoyed my beer and food.
E. D.
Ploughman's was really good, lots of different little foods. Service good and of course the beer
R. P. M.
I LOVE LOVE LOOOOOVE the beer, my favourite always, BUT the food has always been very average.
A. E.
Great beer, great food! Wish they had more options available in Sydney
G. R.
Great Beer for sure. The food is good for a brewery including a range of options for vegetarian and vegans. It just a bit noisy.
P. B.
Such a great brew pub. Some of the best beer in Australia. Always love it.
J. N.
I’d heard a lot about Bent Spoke and was not disappointed. The food was delicious (especially the chicken burger), and the beers top notch. I can’t wait to get back there.
J. H.
Excellent beer selection
