Pub style food & atmosphere with a touch of class. Good quality, tasty food, massive serving sizes and super friendly staff. Not much more you can ask for. Ordered Angus sirloin steak (could've been for 2 ppl), pesto pasta, cauliflower popcorn and a caramel milkshake. Was so much food for 2ppl, so we had a whole meal & half to take home 😅 at just over $70, was well worth it 💖 Would definitely be coming back!

Fun times on ‘Sing for your supper’ Tuesday! I took the family to Casey Jone’s for Burger Night and was pleasantly surprised by the home grown entertainment. A really, great community initiative of engaging locals with musical talents to get up on stage and entertain the crowd. Now I’m sure there are other places who do something similar yet I was feeling the good positive vibes last night and it was wonderful. The burgers were delicious 🤤 Philly cheesesteak was da-vine and the gravy fries so tasty. My only comment is in relation to the kids burgers and their sizes. I bought one for my 3 year old and she had more fun poking it with the toothpick than eating it. It would be great to have smaller sized burgers or even burger sliders for the little’un’s. Loved eating there and it’s great to see the crowds back.

Christmas party on deck area. Big buck hunter game was a nice touch to the area. Bar was fast service, never stood in line for more then 5 minutes. Happy to accommodate us and move furniture around to suit the amount of people. Music was good all night, good mix between old and new with some classic bangers and sing alongs.

This place is the best when it comes to pub meals. Their steaks are always so wonderfully cooked to your preference and the side salads you get are always, fresh and crispy. With the new change, the menu is very similar but the food is still just as delicious. The mains now come with an option of chips & salad, or mash & veg. I can still highly recommend this place.

The beer selection is great as is the atmosphere. So if you are just going for a chill session then this is a great place. But the reason for the 3 stars is that the $36 Angus steak which was supposed to be medium rare came out completely grey and tough. The other peoples burgers were good as were the parmas. I would go back for a beer and or a burger, but not for a steak.

The mid week deals are great. I got a burger, chicken wings, Fries and a beer for $22. The burger was huge and the only complaint I could make was I couldn't fit it into my mouth. The atmosphere was great with half the seating area being pub like with TVs showing sports and the other half being more like a restaurant. Dropped one star as the fries were not hot and the wings were not so great. Everything else was awesome.

I love Casey Jones! I'm a semi regular customer and they know what my favourites are and are always accommodating, especially in the COVID-19 era. The atmosphere is great and they are always nice enough to let me spend a few minutes at one of the tables if I dine in even when I'm naughty and don't book ahead (remember, with COVID-19 the seating space is limited so it's not always easy to find a spot as a walk in). I also understand when they kick me out as I didn't book, lol! Now on to the food. The shantung pork bites are to die for and the schnitty is excellent! So are some of the pizzas - my favourite it the tribbiani (I think that's how it's seplled?). I'd rank the steak with mushroom sauce next. And the portions are very big. I don't think I've ever been able to finish a full meal!! Beer on tap is also good, it changes every so often so it's never boring. The Batch sour (I think it's called Pash the Magic Dragon?) is my favourite!

Ok so I used to love this place. We used to go every Monday - Wednesday but when our meals started getting smaller and smaller we thought why come to a place as a regular to not be treated like one. The steaks eventually were half the size of the mega one we had. The service ended taking 30-40mins to be served. We used to take friends there but not anymore. Initial Review: Omg Monday nights are insane value if you like Schnitzel but even better for steaks. $5 dollar beers and wines Tuesday if you like burgers and wings and beers. Wednesday bring me my wings Been here so many times great for families

Got a kids cheese pizza which was a flat bread base, passata sauce and a slight sprinkle of cheese, I only think it saw the outside of an oven as it was warm and no browning on the (minimal) topping. One of the best pubs in Canberra easily. Staff are very friendly, however a recent experience saw them take one hour the clear our dishes from the table. Food comes out quite quickly and is always consistent. However for $25 for a schnitzel, its not a pub you want to usually go to if you're looking to save money. The live music is quite nice, however some of the individuals looking to share their sound can be quite annoying and loud... Overall quite nice and worth a visit.

Have it on good authority their vegan options aren't bad, which makes life easier for some. Also, recommend booking for Friday and Saturday nights, it gets busy.

Nice looking pub with friendly staff. We stopped by for lunch and were a little disappointed. The pizza was good but the roast veg salad was pretty much an onion salad with a side of onion... adding a little pumpkin or sweet potato wouldn't go astray, especially when you're charging $19 for salad.

Great atmosphere and feed. The fries have really tasty seasoning and the 'slaw' is delicious, I don't usually like coleslaw. Fair pricing for the meals but drinks are a bit steep. If you're after your go to beer, this probably isn't the place for you. Mostly lesser known brews on tap with two or three of the big names. I've been here a few times and will go back again.

Fantastic place. Love the atmosphere, great for a relaxed afternoon or a nice little night out. Majority of the food we have tried has been fantastic and we definitely have our favourites. I dream about their chicken burger and cola wings!! Cocktails are also amazing, sooo yummy, and the bar staff are happy to make things off menu too. While it’s not cheap it’s also not over priced either. This isn’t a local club or tavern, it’s a nice gastro pub. So if delicious food, great drinks and relaxed atmosphere is what you’re after then this is the place.

On live mic night our booked table was right next to the stage. So we ended up moving outside, but was too cold so moved back inside once a booth was free. Was hoping for a pub styled steak but they gave me red wine jus for the sauce (was not what I expected so a bit disappointed). I love Casey Jones. The Gungahlin area is so lucky to have such a wicked restaurant and pub. It’s something I would expect to find in the city. The food is fantastic, they serve Nick O’Leary Riesling, there are lots of zones depending on how you like to be seated and served. Can’t fault it.

Be prepared to get booted off your table for people who make a late booking ("don't worry you have half an hour before you have to move" too bad if you are intending on staying longer and thought you had table). Can be disappointing when you show up for a meal and a drink and it's closed for private function. Another pub/club in the area would be good.

Great atmosphere, delicious food! The pub feels open and welcoming, and the tables are well placed. You can feel the vibe when you walk in and sit down, and yet it's possible to hear each other at your own table in the casual dining area - bonus! The starters and meals are yum; we had the sticky chicken wings to start off and then had the pork belly and seafood ceviche (I think it was called) between us. Service was prompt, staff were friendly. Will definitely be going back!

Labelled vegan "options" which is nice, but it's just leaving a main ingredient out with no price reduction (pasta) or added fees to replace an ingredient (burgers and pizza). Prices are already high for small-ish portions of food that's fine enough, so having to pay so much extra for a listed "option" is a bit much. Pros: fast and friendly service, both ordering and food arriving, and the jugs of cocktails were yum and chockers with fruit and garnishes. The kids meal was also huge: more pasta than the adult serve. This is a pro imo: value for kids! But some people might think it's weird to charge $18 for adults to eat the same dish as a $10 kid's meal I will def go back: not the best but certainly adequate 👍

Having been open for a short while now, this place still hasn't sorted themselves out. The staff are always confused and overwhelmed but the place is always packed! The beers are great, but they should be displayed on a board behind the taps, you can't know what's there until you get to the front of the bar to read the small bits of paper with the tap list. The beer garden should be open to anyone that wants to grab a table, not all reserved and being told you have to wait to be seated, even though there are no signs indicating this. I want to love this place as there's not much around on the North side, but after being there a few times now it's still disappointing.

Casey Jones reinvented itself as a winner. Opening a good bar in the Casey area is stiff competition, coming up against long-term Canberra favourite George Harcourt Inn. However, Casey Jones’ unique decor, consistently friendly staff and wide variety of beer on tap makes it a great place to be. Casey Jones’ frequent events cater to many different crowds, but all are welcoming. With the rotating specials and deals for standard pub fare, there’s enough for multiple nights out with a high standard of quality each and every time. Sure, it’s not fine dining, but if you want to hit up the pub, listen to some music, drink a few and get tasty pub-fare, you’re guaranteed a good time here.

There isn't much to choose from on the menu if you're health conscious and the meals are very salty. I had the vege burger and the mushroom and capsicum were quite burnt. My husband had a meat based burger and parts of it were also burnt and we weren't overly impressed with the service that we received at the bar. It's a great location and venue, the drinks are nice (especially the alcoholic ginger beer) but we won't be returning.

After listening to all the hype, this was an average, at best, pub. Good atmosphere and decor, but the food was on par with going to gungahlin lakes. Popcorn chicken was cooked until it was hard as a rock, gumbo had two tiny little langoustines, fair enough though as the menu only said seafood, and the pizza was a fair bit of crust with toppings dumped in the middle.. The place should have been pumping on a Sunday afternoon, but alas it was empty.. what a shame.

We went here for lunch and i ordered the American cheeseburger forgot exact name but had thin sliced beef and cheese and cheese sauces and whole bunch other stuff OMG was the best burger ive had in a long time but be prepared for messy hands LOL so much sauce dripping but loved it. The chips are awesome, they have some sort of taco seasoning or something, very different and finger licking : ) Compliments to the chef and staff at Casey Jones. Ill definitely be back.
