A nice cozy bar with indoor and outdoor dining. Our party of 15 were seated for dinner in an outdoor tent and we were rather cool for awhile but once the gas cylinder was replaced in the outdoor heater it was toasty warm. Didn’t like the no contact outdoor menu app - especially when each new order came with a further tip request. The food was pub style and good apart from the pork belly which was a little tough. The fish was excellent and really yummy chips. The schnitzel was also delicious! It was nice to be invited into the bar once other patrons left. Quite a pleasant evening really and I’d like to return for lunch sometime.

Highly recommend The Terrace for great seafood and BBQ. The melt-in-mouth tuna tartare was the highlight for me. We sat at the bar to watch the cooking action. Very engaging team but be warned you'll get very hot! I would have liked a hook under the bar for my handbag but a small complaint for an otherwise incredible 'pub' meal!

My second time here in as many days for drinks. The first time, I had a non alcoholic drink. The second time, we were just "fuelling up" on some Sangria as we couldn't afford the matched wines at Pilot. It's just beautiful at night. I still haven't been able to get in to see what Wakefield's upstairs looks like. The first time it was full, and today (Tuesday) it was closed.

If you haven't yet done so, try the inn upstairs. The food is excellent, wine list great & staff are very friendly & accommodating (in particular Adam). Love the tartare, scallops, lamb & the fish - well, everything is amazing but these dishes stood out in particular. Highly recommend!

Over 22 years Edgar's Bar 🍸 in Ainslie became very popular in the owned rights, established in the year 2000. On the 20th Anniversary hard times come as the virus closed most restaurants and pubs, somehow Edgar's Bar come through and opened the restaurant again. Became more popular as people are happy back to the restaurant 😀 for their famous meals in Edgar's Bar. Before Edgar's, an Grocery Shop was at this spot owned by the Jock family 👪, Jock's 4 Supermarket, that later closed in 1990s. The Staff so Wonderful and Helpful, polite, friendly. Edgar's has nice tables serving. Edgar's Bar 🍸 are open at 7am to 10pm. They make amazing coffee ☕ for you, or a cappuccino with a cupcakes 🧁 or cake 🎂 in the morning, to Takeaway. Edgar's morning 🌄 I have a big Breakfast, serving, eggs 🥚, black pudding, baked beans, Hash brown 😋 with Bacon 🥓, toasted Sourdough bread 🍞, coffee ☕. Also they serving Toasted Sourdough bread with Bacon 🥓 and hashbrown with coffee ☕ or cappuccino. Lunch served Barramundi Beans Oliver's tomatoes 🍅 with potatoes 🥔. Special amazing Edgar's Meat Burger 🍔 and Chips 🍟, more special Burgers 🍔 to get. Dinner time they serving, Steak and Chips 🍟, Gravy and Salad 🥗. Or Chicken Schnitzel 🐔 with Mushroom 🍄 sauce and chips 🍟 and salad 🥗. Many more wonderful amazing meals they make on the day. In the middle of ISO craziness - the young women and men working here are awesome. The food is good - even though it's take away. They just cooked me a medium rare steak and chips - excellent. They are friendly and are happy if you pay some forward to the folk in the area that need some help during these tough times.

Great atmosphere with heating making the cold Canberra evenings bearable. The food was good, however it took 90 minutes for our food to come out after we asked where it was as the rest of our table had finished. The staff appeared to be helpful, however there manager Wayne apologized profusely and managed to sort the situation out. Extremely happy with the outcome and the customer service. Definitely recommend coming here for the food, atmosphere and hospitality!

Good range of pub food. Good range of interesting beer on tap too. Plenty of space if you aren't scared of sitting outside... Which is fine in the warmer months, and not bad during winter as the gas heaters are surprisingly effective. Can get a little noisy inside when busy.

I ordered the veggie burger (zucchini and cauliflower pattie deep fried, tomato, mixed green lettuce, grilled halloumi and herb mayonnaise). The burger ingredients were thrown together with little thought and as a result, I found my burger very dry and salty. The shoe string fries were average.

Edgar’s Inn has a relaxed atmosphere and gastropub style lunches are great. I’ve found that breakfast can be hit and miss but generally good. Coffee is pretty consistent and I’ve found staff are always friendly and helpful. Great outdoor beer garden when the weather is good.

Probably the most reliable and pleasant local of Canberra's Inner North suburbs with an excellent mix of seating for different weathers. Too busy when major football matches are in progress, it is mostly just a comfortable hum. Bookings are recommended for groups. Always has reasonably quality pub grub but recently tending towards pricey and for steaks outrageous. Strong but time limited wifi.

It's always fun to eat at Edgar's. This morning our dog was particularly interested in the large joyous dog on the other side of the pull down protection from the elements. Put that together with the generous serving of bacon accompanying the poached eggs, and her treat from this, an excellent visit. Now to the secondary customers. Our coffee was great, the eggs cooked as they should be with soft yolks, the toast was crisp and my avocado generous. For a warm pleasant venue to eat, that is dog friendly, Edgar's is hard to beat.

Their system for ordering and paying for your food at the table makes sharing the costs of a joint meal really easy. 10/10 would recommend to anyone looking for a relaxed atmosphere.

Lovely ambience upstairs in the Inn, with the sun setting through the windows and candles everywhere. Lauren and the team were nothing short of awesome!! We held an outdoor function recently. The Edgars team were able to accommodate our requests, including a guest-list of ~60 (with various dietary requirements too!). Lauren was great in the lead up, helping to make sure everything had been thought of and covered. On the day, the staff were amazing! Very friendly, couldn't go out of their way enough to help us with anything we needed. I had so many comments from people that attended about how great the venue and the staff were, so not only would I strongly recommend, now another ~60 people would too!

I recently had a party at the Wakefield room, it was a great cosy venue. Lauren from the venue was excellent to deal with leading up to the event. I brought music and cake and balloons and the Inn provided the rest. Really nice facilities - private space with bar, bathrooms and lot of areas to hang out.

A very prestigious restaurant to say the least, however the waiting times can be unbearable. It is understandable that waiting times are going to be longer considering it is usually packed, however waiting half and hour for a bowl of chips can be really annoying. The food is excellent, selection of beers is also superb. The choice of musicians never fails either. A very good destination to visit!

My partner and i took advantage of the $15 steak and drink deal. Honestly, i was disapointed, the steak was cooked perfectly but the quality is terrible. It took so long to cut, extrememly chewy,stringy and flavourless and the chips were mcdonalds chips 😂 . I would of rathered parted with a few extra dollars and got a tasty meal.

Edgar's inn. What can I say it's everthing you would expect from a cosy little pub around the corner.
