Really nice bar with great nibbles and drinks. Really have to those buffalo chicken wings with blue cheese sauce. They are great. Ideal place for social events on a Friday night. Yours truly @fooderarri

I have been to The Duxton on several occasions. They are able to cater for large groups quite easily and their split check system makes paying a lot easier. Slightly higher pricing of food and drinks compared to typical pubs, but the quality of the food is reflected by this. Staff are generally quite friendly, but can be hard to get a hold of during rushes. The only issue I have found with this place is the sticky tables which I have managed to get every time.

Upscale pub. Good beer, good food, prices follow but nothing that would push you away. The char grilled rib eye, medium rare, was the star of the night. The other dishes were all good. The bbq ribs, not so much (it wasn't bad, just not up to the other options) In these cold covid days you gotta book or bring a heavy jacket to sit outside, heaters were of little help. The staff were mostly friendly and helpful, even though we couldn't get all we wanted (understandably), like move from the restaurant area to the bar area, but handled the situation very well.

Came in because Edgars was full and we didnt have a booking. Typical pub food. Music is a bit loud. Each ordered a main with a beverage on a quiet Sunday. The fact that menu clearly advertised fish&chips is $24. Funny thing I realised looking at the recipt after that I was charged for $26.4 for the fish and chips. Not sure why the costs charged doesn't reflect what's on their menu, could be service charges on Sunday? But the invoice doesn't quite have a breakdown so it's very hard to tell. Also there's card surcharge applies unless paying by cash.

Had a really good experience at the Duxton. Mostly because of our server, Aisha. I'm celiac and she made it her mission to ensure that I got a celiac friendly meal and she followed it through until it got to my table to make sure I felt confident in what I was eating. Really refreshing experience compared to usually feeling like a burden for my illness. Thanks Aisha. You're fab!!!

I had my 21st here last night and it was absolutely wonderful. Our event managers, Syed and Alex, were the most organised, lovely people and really made my night run so smoothly. It was all put together very last minute and commend The Duxton for their hard work. The food was delicious and the decorations were perfect. The bartenders on the night did a great job. Would highly recommend for any special event, the venue and people are one-of-a-kind!

Wow, public holiday, still have the special on, and no surcharge! Special was chicken schnitzel and it was huge. I’m so full and happy with the flavour of it. Beer options are so plentiful, the rest of the menu looks great too (I’ve been here a few times but must’ve forgotten to rate, sorry). Love the vibe here it’s nice and relaxed, staff are friendly and know what’s happening.

Attended a friend's 40th in the loft upstairs. Bar service was pretty prompt to get served despite the solid and thirsty crowd. Finger food served here is average, in stark contrast to dining at the downstairs pub (where the grub is actually pretty good). Empty glass cleanup is severely lacking. Several times throughout the evening a large buildup of glasses on the corner of the bar resulted in revelers inadvertently knocking a glass into the floor. Fortunately the wooden floor in the loft meant the ground was never too slippery. Staff were there to sweep up the broken glass quickly enough, but I can't help but think it shouldn't have been a problem in the first place (and wouldn't have been, had staff collected the glasses on the earlier, rather than letting the empties build up so much).

Went for Father's Day lunch today & had a good enough time. 3/5 adults enjoyed their meal, but it took them over an hour to get it to us, when they weren't even quite close to full. Wait staff were fabulous & I felt bad for them having to try & cover what appears to be a fault in the kitchen? They offered complimentary drinks & dessert, but only 2 for the whole table, which is still nicer than nothing.

Went last Saturday for lunch. Spent about 10 mins waiting for the head waitress to stop ignoring me at the entrance, by approaching another staff member, who asked me to keep waiting. Even the head chef noticed my frustration. I had a booking and she finally took me to the table where we continued to be served by the same rude head waitress with an attitude. She served us wines that tasted off (I had a Moscato that takes like a very dry white). The food was great, but the atmosphere is lacking and it relates to the head waitress and her attitude problem. Not keen to go back. Get rid of her.

Been 5 times - one of my favourite restaurants. Great food, friendly and helpful service, cook has come out to talk to us a few times and bought us out a new dish they were testing for feedback. Try the 5 course specials - superb. And great atmosphere - cosy and intimate but without enough space that you don't feel crowded in, and relaxed - stay all night if you want. Long, old fashioned windows that frame back lit tree tops. Try it.

Chicken burger was OK. "McDonald's Fries" for some reason served on a plate suitable for a kids meal. Most of the staff were pleasant except for the " main waitress" in the restaurant area who was rude... And she spent most of my time there complaining to another staff member about the other staff... A bit bizarre to be honest. Pity though.. Apart from her it was OK.

A great venue to catch up socially or for work. There are large outdoor and indoor tables that will suit groups of up to 6 without any rearranging required. There is a large drinks selection and the food has been of high quality each time I've eaten.

Nice location, good fit out, can't say my experience was good though. At the Christmas party I was attending it took an hour and a half to get a few pizzas out and I had to leave before I even got a slice. Being busy is no excuse to under cater for a pre paid event.

Funky venue to sit and have a few drinks in the summer or winter. Up to date furniture makes this precinct a busy hub on a Thursday or Friday for some after work drinks and a bite to eat. Food is good, in particular the pizza. Staff are friendly and professional. They have week night specials with a drink for about $20 so good if you're on a budget. Would recommend a visit.

Pretty disappointing. A pity. Nice looking space and the bar seems to run properly. But. The food. Was ordinary at the very best. One out of 5 mains meet an acceptable standard (parmigiana). Two spaghetti dishes were overloaded with cheese and very salty. Southern fried chicken burger was notably bland. And the caprese pizza made a Domino's pizza look like a fine alternative. Distinctly undercooked and doughy. Sad.

Went for a work function, so comments apply accordingly. Food was ordinary at best - no flavour to it. I think the kitchen had trouble keeping up with a large group, as there were long waits for each dish to arrive, and tables didn't even come close to being served at the same time. Staff had no idea about the arrangements for those who had special dietary requirements, which had supposedly been prearranged. Bit of a shambles really. Wouldn't recommend this as a function host to others.

I had to wait for ages but it was worth it (the waiter said the first batch had been slightly overcooked, so they'd done a fresh batch). The fillet tasted amazing! The second time I ordered a haloumi burger. It was great, and went well with the ginger beer that I bought on-tap.
