C. R.In my humble opinion, this humble appearing joint is the #1 pub in Canberra for those seeking the non-generic, non-bogan, non-posh, down to earth neurodiverse and old school atmosphere that is what real community venues should be.
Make sure you don't miss trying one of their famous pizzas or burgers while you are there, you won't regret it. With a spacious rear outdoor area in addition to the classic wooden booths inside, there is plenty of room for those of either preference. The wood fire free-standing hearth out back in Winter is the kind of old-school charm you just rarely find anymore.
Friendly staff, good food, good drinks, the best vibe in Canberra.
M. G.Authentic pub experience in a commercial setting you wouldn't expect to find. Barman was very attentive and engaging, and the music at 7pm was retro and added to our pub experience. We tried the Hemmingway Daquari which was a Pot Belly special, and very yummy. Thanks :)

I. G.A great tap list but sadly that's about it for this place. The pizzas are the only food available, however they were prepared so incredibly slowly with the most basic ingredients and were pretty average. The place itself could use a bit of a revamp.

It's only a small place but it has a good feel and nice design. The staff were friendly and happy to let you try a few of the more unique beers and the atmosphere was also welcoming.

S. H.My favourite bar in town hands down! Super cozy atmosphere, a good mix of live bands, very tasty drinks with some beers brewed on site and the staff are an absolute delight. The wood and iron look / decor is awesome and suits the bar. Highly reccomend.

M. M.Pot Belly has a nice old pub atmosphere, friendly barman, and good craft beer. On my last visit they only served pizza, and it wasn't good. But they are happy for you to bring your take-away from somewhere else. They are planning to add more food eventually but are currently focused on putting in a brewery. The best feature of Pot Belly? It's never too loud.
