An excellent venue to be in Canberra with out doubt. Very good ambiance in the Zoo Bar that really justify the name. Excellent selection of cocktails, drinks and good food too. Got a lot of verity over different floors, the Pool Bar on level 2, The cocktail lounge on level 3 and the Night Club on level 4. What a great place to be, and each staff members are very friendly and accommodating. Must try

Wow. That's all I can say. The food was phenomenal! I was expecting bar food, they were sending out fancy restaurant-level food! I've been here before and I love the decor. Its all so classy and interesting. But back to the food, we had the Pork belly and Grilled praws for entree.. both were spectacularly beautiful! I would go back just to have it. For mains, we had the Angus beef and Grilled chicken. The beef was cooked to perfection. The chicken dish was huge! Finally, the person who served us was friendly and so generous in letting my partner test the various whiskeys to find the one he likes. All in all, 5 star experience! One little downside, the music was a bit clubbish for a mid-week night.

Should have been 5 stars for $90 for 2 steaks. Arrived at 6:30pm, finished eating one course at 7:40pm. Cold fries and warm steak, soggy veges, but yet still tasty. Would have sent back but worried about the time to get it fixed. Atmosphere great, staff were lovely and service great! Maybe just an off night in the kitchen?

Went for lunch there. It had great value for money lunch specials and delicious food. For $15 we got a good sized meal and a drink that included spirits as an option. The chips were cooked perfectly. They tasted great and had a really nice crunch to them. Would definitely recommend going there for lunch with colleagues 🙂

A friend and I held our joint 30th at Level 3 - No Vacancy Lounge in January, 2021. The venue is classy and has so much on offer - whether its a semi-formal dinner downstairs or a cocktail on Level 3; you've got plenty of options. A huge shout out to Carol who is Zoo Bar's Events guru. The function packages are extremely flexible and with Carol's support, you'll be able to plan an event with no hassles and something that suits your vibe/audience/goals. Highly, highly recommend. We had lots of positive feedback on our function from those who came along... and was a night to remember!

The Zoo bar lives up to its name featuring decor such as birds, monkeys, horses and crocodiles all located in a random spot, some how still feels sophisticated when your there. Walk up many stairs to level three and you'll find a pool hall called Hustlers. More range of drinks on level 1 than level 3.. much fun.

It’s not bad. Weird crowds. Weird decor. But pretty fun. The DJ basically spins up iTunes songs snd not much else. There is a big mix of 18 year olds who want somewhere chill to drink right through to a fair aged crowd who might have been there for whatever came before uni pub. Drinks are pretty good. Lights probably a bit too bright and in your face. Otherwise fun place to be.

This was by far the best Bar Restaurant we've been to in years. On arrival we were greeted by Cam who was fantastic, friendly and knowledgeable. We had salt and pepper squid sticky chicken wings and the magnificent steak. We honestly couldn't fault it, steak was one of the best ever. You would think you were in an upmarket 5 star restaurant. The restaurant is in a popular location in the CBD and is close to busy stations. The food is of good quality. Staff are diligent and polite. The atmosphere is very pleasant and interior design is exciting with statues of animals. A bigger range of food and drinks on offer will attract more customers. The view is quite meaningful, with the nearby offices and institutes.

After attending the launch, which I was pleasantly suprised at how it changed the whole atmosphere and experience. Entertainment was awesome!! The food coming from the kitchen is fun, well sized and beautifully presented... I love the salt and pepper squid!! I have attended a 21st function and thoroughly enjoyed the yummy food platters, music and dancefloor is huge on top floor!! Staff have always served us with a smile and they have a choice in earth friendly straws at the bar!! I will definately be returning. 5 stars!!

Magnífico! Excelente! After spending our Anzac day at the Australian War Memorial, we had our dinner here at Zoo Bar and Grill - and we had such a great experience. Customer service, cleanliness, decor, ambiance, food and value for money; all deserving a 5/5. You get a warm welcome from people working here as soon as you step in. The interior is just the right dose of classy modern with bits of quirks. All balanced and just gives a good vibe. Food was divine! Their menu's mouth watering, had a variety, reasonably priced and they delivered beyond expectations. We love fine and tasty food and we were happy to find them here. "Hidden Gem". They have generous servings and were presented well. Love nachos? satisfaction guaranteed! Their Tomahawk steak is one of the best in town. Succulent- juicy and sooo tender, and the jus! WoW! Credit to the chef for the delectable, simply yummy food... Oh and the bar have an array of drinks and concoctions. We are coming back for more. We're highly recommending Zoo Bar and Grill. I rarely give a review, this was an exception as we were impressed, worthy of my time. Gracias beautiful people.

I recently celebrated my 50th birthday at Zoo Bar & Grill. It was wonderful. Tonna was so helpful, responsive and accommodating. At short notice we moved our group of 30 inside and this was no problem for the stsff. All meals were delicious and a variety of drinks available with reasonable prices for all. After a couple of hours we moved on to a pre booked venue for cocktails. Next function we will continue on at Zoo Bar!

Held my daughters 18th in the “Function Room” in July 2019. Upon first contact Tonna was extremely helpful and provided exceptional customer service, advice and just made us feel welcomed. Living in Uluru and organising the event within 1 month of my daughters birthday, I was anxious about a couple things: Venue hire, value for money, and short notice. Tonna provided detailed information and went above and beyond to ensure the evening was a success. I have been informed by all that attended - that my daughters party “was a great party”. If I lived in Canberra - this spot would be my new hang out joint! Brilliant customer service by all employees I interacted with, delicious food, detailed information, ability to decorate venue to taste, and definite value for money.
