It is what it is, I stayed in a ground floor room and thought it would be noisy. It was not. The room was clean, except for the back of the bathroom door. Bed was a little hard, but sleep able. Not close to much, but scooters available to hire to take you to waterfront etc. I'd stay there again for the price, but I would probably pay the extra to stay closer to waterfront

we got a pretty good deal for a deluxe room, location is awesome, staff are really nice. Room is simple but it does the job, TV is huge, WIFI is not bad at all, we watched netflix every night (we’ve been here for 7 nights). Room is a bit out to date and despite of having some stains in the carpet, it looks clean. Bed is comfy and aircon works perfect! Would recommend and stay again.

I have no words for those two receptionist they were Indian they assist me. It was my first time here in Darwin they were so polite and helpful towards costumer. I just wanna thank them for every things mean alot ❤️

A mixed review.....booking 2 rooms several months in advance and requesting both be on the same floor, arrived to find 3 floors difference,one on 2 and the other on the 3rd. Room's clean, with good quality linen, hot shower with great pressure. I requested some drinking glasses, l was told due to Covid they could not supply any. When checking my bank account, l was charged twice for my 6 night stay. I am awaiting the out come, but feel it will be rectified. Just very hard if travelling on a budget. Happy to report a full refund was issued, with apologies. View out the room window

The rooms need some renovation work to modernize them. There is no hairdryer, no extra blankets,no extra toilet paper These things have to be asked for at reception. The bed is a bit uncomfortable, mattress is hard. The rooftop restaurant is only opened for special occasions and not available for guests dining each night. On the other hand the food at the public bar is very nice and the staff there are very nice.

Delightful and affordable service, good facilities but the internet speed is shocking. Don't expect to run any streaming service. Very close to pretty much everything that you can visit in the territory, has complimentary laundry and kitchen facilities. Plenty parking and pub with pool and gaming facilities. Use the front entrance.

Tiny and very noisy. The cleaning ladies sound like they're having a party in the corridor at 0630!! The room was very clean and there was internet TV with Netflix, that was good. It was the night of the Insurrection at Capitol Hill, Washington D.C. Which is why I included the pic of Stephen Colbert looking super serious. I watched the entire thing unfold, so for that I'm grateful for the internet TV. If you feel like having a glass of wine and takeaway in your room, make sure you take your own cutlery and wine glass. There are odd comings and goings there, and TBH, I felt afraid at times. Yes, there was a security guard sitting in the foyer overnight, but it didn't alleviate my fears. As a single woman who does a thousand things by myself, I never feel scared. No undercover parking, and a very strange car park to boot. Just not what I'm used to. The view from my room was quite pleasant.

Comfortable beds. Good food at the bar. Efficient reception. Great Price. I'm convinced. Sure, you don't get all the bells & trimmings of a more expensive hotel, but you don't get the massive bill either. Room was quiet & comfortable. Basic breakfast was included. Happy!

Staff were very accommodating given that we were flying in at around 1am, arriving at 2am. Check in took a little long and parking was a nightmare but the room was clean, the beds were comfy, the shower was warm. We chose the place because we would only be using it to sleep for a few hours before checking into our holiday accommodation but would have been very happy staying here for the week we were in Darwin. Would definitely stay again.

The hotel is good. Nice cleaning staff that went above and beyond to help us. The location is okay. Not too far from the city centre. I would avoid the pool though. It looks nice but I got real sick after swimming there, So that is a real negative! CLEAN your pool properly!

Staff were well presented and passably pleasant but usually invisible behind a frosted glass screen. Its well located within walking distance to the main CBD. The bed was attractively presented and we found everything to be clean. Prices given for this hotel varied considerably from site to site so shop around.

We were offered to check in our room in the morning already (even if it was the wrong one a nice offer). Our room was good, nice sunrise view, close to the city and the shops, pool was refreshing, bathrooms clean. One thing we didn't like: breakfast from 5-7?!

Room was big and clean although some obvious maintenance work was required in the bathroom, informed the front desk but got the impression they didn't want to know, "I'll put it on the list" was the response. I loved the free laundry facilities, disappointed about the limited parking, if out late in the evening you would park quite a distance from the hotel. I think 91 rooms and maybe 20 carparks?

After reading a few negative reviews was pleasantly surprised. The room was clean and tidy and had all you needed, bar fridge, good ac, huge TV and enormous water pressure on the shower/bath. Only negative is a couldn't get a refund as we had to cut our stay short but booked on wotif pretty cheap so can't really complain too much...

A little disappointed with the service provided, stay for 3 nights and was told housekeeping are done alternate days but during my 4 day stay not 1 day I had room service came over to clean my room. But I guess that what you get for decent looking cheap hotel. If you don’t mind not getting any housekeeping but with similar facilities as what you get from The Mercure this hotel is a bargain for you.

I stayed from the 21st to the 30th of September 2018, this hotel was in my opinion is value for money and more. The cleanness of my room was perfect and the housekeeping staff could put some 5 star hotels to shame. When I arrived, I was greeted with a smile and check-in was quick. It was only a short walk to bus-stops, no.10 into the CBD and a no. 4 will take you to Casuarina shopping centre. Having a free laundrette to use was a bonus.

The location is great! You can walk to Mindil beach or the Amphiteatre as well as to the city center, spending much less than if you were to stay downtown. The staff is not particularly helpful, one big exception being the Dubliner girl, kudos to her. There were small ants in the rooms, the sink leaked, the toilets are not provided with a fan, which means that after a shower everything is foggy. The wifi was weak at the fifth floor.

Location and price can't beat it. Remember this is not to Ritz, but friendly service, comfy bed and clean sheets. Great hot water, free laundry facilities and a clean pool, couple this with a cheap breaky option and a pud with music and happy hour.....unbelievable value. A little dated and a little maintenance required but remember all the above.

My stay here was great. Location is a fair walk from the city but not that bad. We did hesitate at eating in the restaurant but being too lazy to walk in search of fodder elsewhere we found the food was good/sufficient, given the buffet style from the trusty Bain Marie.

I think I got it a bit cheaper than normal so it was good value for money. Would only recommend this type of room if you were a smoker wanting to take advantage of being able to go and sit outside you room. Dollars per night for an unbelievably terrible service.

We found the staff pleasant and the location very accessable. The hotel is around a 15 minute walk from the main town centre and has a rooftop restaurant and a basement bar area, where pool can be played. The restaurant although having nice views was like something out of the 70's.

Love it! I'm usually there during the day and it isn't too busy. The staff are very good. It is primarily a sports bar, but it is not too intrusive - if you don't want it to be. The food is always very good.

I had organised my daughter's weaning ceremony function at Frontier Hotel, Darwin on 7th August, 2019 and it went very good. The food was very very delicious, all our guest liked the food a lot. Thanks to the chef Prem Dhakal for serving such delicious Nepalese food to our guest on such a reasonable price. The staffs were also very polite and responsive. Me, my family and all our guests liked the food a lot and are grateful for making our daughter's weaning ceremony wonderful.

The night clerk was very disinterested in the fact that we hadn't eaten dinner and it is midnight. The staff were hopeless and were very rude and obnoxious towards us: they made it sound like it was our fault. Like most of the Quality inn group we have been to needs some reinvestment.

The Hotel staff were not interested in helping us out. I then went to the lobby bathroom which is full of spiders and spiderwebs. I was so upset I checked out before my planned stay and had such a bad experience I doubt if I will ever return to Darwin in my leisure travels.
