A must stop if traveling on the Arnhem Highway. Call in to have a beer at the iconic NT pub. Friendly service funny locals and you have to buy the merchandise we got a singlet and stubby holders …. every bogan tourist needs them. Interesting place

Love this place,very rustic.Foods great ,the girls are friendly and beer is cold.There is a shop you can buy t-shirts,singlets,stubby holders etc.You can sit out in the verandah with your children and dogs, but they are not allowed near the bar.

OK so it's rough, it's daggy, the outer dining benches are not so clean, the patrons look look like they're throwbacks to 80s Aus, and not mention the flies, but you gotta go there. The food was some of the nicest pub food around. Well worth a visit.

Great place to stop for lunch after the Adelaide Jumping Croc Adventure. Beers are ice cold and the food was amazing - sooo big. Try the trio burgers you won't be disappointed. Only downside, the pub has no memorabilia. No history on the walls. Pubs make small towns and it's good to see the history.

My local what can I say, great place, like every place has it's good times and it's bad, staff great then sometimes not so great, but ya live local you love local and got to support ya local through it's up's and down's. Xx Been a year since I put this post up, a lot has happened around the place, town is spreading out and seems closer than ever, but one thing still good to visit after all this time is the Local Pub Humpty Doo Hotel. We came here for a good meal for my Birthday. Boy, were we surprised by the huge servings. Hubby & I could only eat half the Chicken Parma's due to the size of them so the staff gave us a styrene pack for us to take home the rest. The staff were all very polite & friendly, drinks were lovely & cold, the food was excellent & the atmosphere was very relaxing. No wonder this Pub is famous! Next time I might ask for half a serving.👍

Busy but efficient service. Fish of the day in a burger tasted like crab and was awful. Bulloch burger was similarly ordinary but the crocodile burger was great as was the chicken Parmy. Beer was very cold and welcome.

This place is a Territory legend. No air-conditioning, but plenty of ceiling fans inside and on the verandah. They have a large pub menu, with weekly and daily specials. A roast and live music on Sundays. American Express cards are accepted

Fun little bar in humpty doo. It has a nice gift shop, with tons of hotel branded clothes and accessories. It also has lots of tv's and gambling stations if that's your thing. People from all walks of life show up here, so it's great for people watching too. There is not a great selection of beers, but the food is good. The wedges are the best I've had in a long time. Definitely worth a trip if you're in the area.

Very much a pub. Eating outside in the dry season is great, with a cool breeze blowing under the verandah. Certainly plenty of food with the usual pub selection. I missed the outdoor band but my friends tell me it was the highlight of their visit.

What can I say about this place that has not already been said. This place is an icon in the Northern Territory. The staff in the place are awesome. A happy smile while having a chat with every customer. As a tourist and a person who likes a cold palate cleansing ale, I loved the place.

You have got to stop and have a beer here at the very least. Very iconic Australian Pub. I was here 27 years ago. There was a local band then and the atmosphere was wild. Perhaps a little more tame now but worth a visit.

It had ice cold beer! Some staff were excellent, but others were very poor. Menu options are very limited and food took ages. It’s very popular, but I think mostly because of the reputation. Worth a visit if you’re not looking for anything special.

Lots of fun! This is a proper country pub with little in the way of frills to impress people who need impressing. The beer is cold and the food is very good for the price. If you’re a visitor you’ll feel like you’ve visited a piece of the NT without any of the usual effort people make for tourists. I like that about the joint. If you’re looking to be pampered and made to feel important, stay away. If you’re looking for a window into rural life in the NT, this is a good place to start.

Very popular, has great food, ambience, friendly staff. I believe ir has fantastic live music on weekends. Has a huge veranda filled with all types of people from locals who seem to be characters, travellers, backpackers. Great for people watching too. World Famous Humpty Doo Hotel. It is a must when visiting Northern Territory. Food is delicious very reasonably priced and sized meals. And for those wanting a little more comfort they have a restuarnt as well. Sunday afternoon they gave live music.

Was there for Blues Festival, great that it was free admission, buffet food was not good, entertainment until 8 pm was good, after that was not, couldn't stand it any longer & left. Hoping tomorrow night will be better. Made enquiries about the shuttle bus, hope that runs locally around Humpty Doo, not just to Palmerston. Otherwise might not be able to attend?

Good place to stop off on your way back to Darwin from linchfield National Park. The coffin bay oysters killpatrick are the best I have had in my time in Darwin, the wedges also a crowd pleaser. Good range of ice cold beers/ ciders on tap. Aswell as good variety in the fridge. Did purchase a stubble cooler as you do which was abit over priced at $12. Beers and food was priced a little high but to be expected given remote location.
