Went there to celebrate with my girlfriend for her birthday and we ended up staying most of the afternoon. Absolutely perfect seafood and apparently the cocktails were pretty tasty. Great relaxing atmosphere and attentive staff and a seat with a view.

Service was good. Food came out in a timely manner although the place was only half busy. Rosé sangria was delicious. Not a fan of the seating inside though. Seemed very crammed and budget. Acoustics aren't favourable when you have high pitched women cackling and you can't have you own conversation with the person next to you.

Oyster Bar wasn't what I expected. Its more like a tavern experience, you have to go up to the counter to order your food and drinks and was such a busy place that after waitimg at the bar for over 15 mins to be served due they had three staff members drying dishes and one person serving, you get back to your table which was taken and staff had to get them to move due to we had a reservation. The food was nice, but sadly i wont return after this experience.

If you are a lover of oysters then The Oyster Bar in Darwin will not disappoint. Nice outdoor table with cold beer and friendly staff. And the oysters are amazing. You must try the Bloody Mary oyster shots.

Very creative flavours for oysters, and that’s probably the only thing on the menu worth getting. The other finger foods were very average, despite it looking very appealing on the menu. Wonderful spot and great dishes. We ordered individual dishes not share type. The food looked great and tasty. It's a pity the staff could not have been as nice. 2 females serving, one loves her job the other should have stayed in bed. When serving individual dishes they should served onto the table to the person who ordered it. Just placing it or coffee on the table and walking off is just not good enough. Erin great service. Beautiful location, very varied menu and a lot more than just oysters, in saying that some of the best oysters I have had both here and internationally. Staff also get a mention, very friendly and helpful. I have one complaint. The use of PLASTIC STRAWS served with every drink is absolutely shameful in this day and age particularly on the waterfront. Please consider the alternatives available Oyster Bar. Have a glass of paper straws on the counter and let people take them if they need them but just popping plastic straws in every drink served is just inexcusable now. I know for a fact we were not the only people commenting on this practice that evening. Many places around Darwin have now made the swap to paper straws. Please lead by example. Despite this blatantly irresponsible practice, highly recommended. P.S I would of given 5 stars if it wasn't for that disappointment.

We got take away from here and I was a little disappointed to be honest from what I have heard about this place. The natural oysters were spot on. Thai oysters just had to much going on for myself. We also had the grazing board, and for the price this was very very disappointing.

A selection of their oysters were sampled and while they were delicious my partner and I personally felt they were over dressed with ingredients. I would prefer it if the intensity of the flavours were toned down as to not completely overwrite the flavour of fresh oyster. Delicious none the less.

Do you have a new crew in your kitchen?? I always love this place even though it accidentally served me oyster with worm on the shell twice or thrice but i always come back because the food always fresh and nice. One of the best places to eat in Darwin. But tonight i was shocked how mushy and slimy the prawns were. I thought it was off but it didn’t smell bad so i guess must be overcooked or was it frozen then serve? My caviar oysters were missing the sour cream and the panko missing the mayo. The atlantic ones have cream on it, but the cream was put on the top at the end of the shell, why tho?! If it meant to be eaten with the oyster just put it on top of the oyster the way it always has. You already served the oysters/ food at it best, please don’t change it. If you want to improve you can start by standardizing the platting and train your staff to always have the same quality when they produce their food or drinks. So customers can have that same quality every time, no matter if you have new staff or not.

You order food and drinks at the bar, collect your drinks and the food is delivered to your table. They offer a good range of beer and wine by the glass or bottle.
