The place is in a good location. Plenty of places to park. I was there for a wedding function and I have to say it really was a lovely time and it was helped by the safe and the chief and their talents. The staff spent the night tending bar for us but also were the ones service the food. They were always very focused on their task but friendly too. The vent was clean and well maintained.

Fantastic meals enjoyed by all. Staff were brilliant ,attentive and natural just being themselves instead of some stereotype of presumed expectation. Highly recommend Black Buffalo to any lover of Quality Tasmanian food.

Great Staff, Great Rooms and the food it was great. This is the place I stay at when I am conducting any Training in Hobart, they have a great training room which I have use twice now and wil use more if required in the future.

I stayed here while my husband had surgery, from the first contact over the phone to book until check out, the staff/ service was wonderful and most helpful. Everyone including the cleaning and food service staff were always smiling a sign of a good morale within the workplace. Rooms were clean, comfortable and food servings large and affordable, recommend the scallops. Certainly will return but for a holiday not to have husband in hospital lol

Had lunch today. Terrific food (scallops, beef schnitzel & chicken salad) and service was great. Young Jacob looked after us, one of the best waiters I’ve seen. Cracked us up a few times without even trying. The Managerv was attentive too. Made to feel welcome.

Went for lunch today, was welcomed by a fantastic wait person (should of got his name) as he was very attentive and friendly our whole time there. Table service for ordering and drinks. The meal was one of the nicest ones we have had lately. Very happy we stopped here.

Low budget option in North Hobart. Walking distance to shops and restaurants on Elisabeth St and also close to the Domain. Rooms are located on the top floor above the pub. King Suite was spacious and clean. Bathroom was clean and had lots of space. The shower has the best water pressure I had in a very long time! Rooms not serviced daily which doesn't bother me but some might wanrt that. Check in and out was very easy. Parking is free on site. They also have free wifi and offer a breakfast for additional cost but it's as easy to go up the road.

The premises was good with friendly obliging staff and the meals were reasonably priced. I will definitely revisit the Black Buffalo again soon.

we had are christmas dinner there saturday 19 december ,the food and service was outstanding , beautiful girl behind the bar made me a coffee, did not charge me for it ?every body happy ,will be back ?just wish they would have a few more beers on tap not a big fan of casscade , they used to have guinness on tap ?, think they should have that beer on tap to match there beautiful t shirts , if you have a spare one ?, thanks
