The place has a very nice style, music is good, but I think it feels more like a pub or nightclub than a wine place. My expectations were to find something more usual to a winery 😥. Yes, their range of wines is extensive and their staff are very friendly, however they didn't show much knowledge about the wine, they just poured it and done. Also, I ordered a cheese board and it was the most ordinary cheese🧀.

This is a great place to sample local wines, but our favorite thing was their fantastic little pizzas. We got the mushroom which was fabulous. It's also a very attractive place to sit and enjoy and drink and a meal. Highly recommended, and a must-do for pizza lovers, but beware that it gets crowded at peak hours.

Great wine bar located right in the heart of Salamanca Markets. The atmosphere and staff were very friendly and welcoming, the place was buzzing from so many people having fun. The food itself came in very generous servings and was all quite good. We got the sharing plates and the standout dish was the smoky ribs. Cooked a tad crisp with plenty of flavour. What we also liked was the basics were also done well, very impressed with the fresh bread, really pulled the whole plate together. Overall recommend this place to anyone in the Hobart area.

The bar area is very unique and comfortable. The Bar Manager provided a small sample of a local organic Apple Cider for the Bride. That's a Brilliant idea and a great cider. Lunch was Spaghetti Bolognaise I have eaten a lot of Bolognaise the best other than home made is here. Brilliant Bolognaise.

I love this set up. Outdoor seatings. It was a sunny day so the weather was great.Atmosphere was casual and it was very cosy.If I tell you the Gospel truth this was the ever best Pizza I have eaten in whole of Australia. A very nice indoor setting with multiple seating options including very spacious booths. We had the fat chips w/ aioli and the Grazing Board with spicy capsicum dip instead of hommus. The missus also got the Tasmanian White Wine Flight. The chips were indeed thick and quite crunchy, seasoned well and generous in portion size. The aioli tasted like a slightly garlic mayonnaise though, which was a disappointment because the spicy capsicum dip was quite nice. Moving onto the pictured Grazing Board, the lamb (barely pictured on the right) was literally falling off the bone as we picked it up and was covered in a delicious saucey marinade. I was a fan of the karaage chicken, although my better half let me have the third and largest piece. I didn't really care for the pumpkin and feta arancini balls, but my partner liked them despite the unnecessarily spicy bolognese sauce beneath them, and the salad was a standard Greek, though I don't remember there being any feta in it. The bread was perfect, with the perfect balance of crunch and softness that tied very well with the capsicum dip. The calamari, however, was a bit of a disappointment when compared to all of the other local calamari offerings we had tried during our stay in Hobart. My partner seemed to enjoy the wines, but I'm not much of a drinker, so I can't really comment on that. All in all a decent experience, despite being given the old "not to rush you guys" at 9:40 when the website said closing time was 11. I would give a 4.5 if I had the option.

Good food and great service!! Stumbled upon this bar and stopped for dnner. It was busy with a nice atmosphere, live music and delicious pizza. We had a slight mix up with the order and this was resolved quickly by the staff in a very professional manner.

For any vegan or vegeterian folks out there, especially the travellers this is a veggie friendly place for you! We stumbled at Grape Food by chance, and I was ready to do the usual cull out the food menu routine not realising that there were vegan options as it wasn't advertised. Definitely try their pumpkin, artichoke and vegan cheese pizza. The pizza was done so well even my non-vegan companion had agreed and people were stopping by asking what I had ordered and they too decided to order the same thing! We also had pumpkin salad & the gnocchi which is hands down one of the best gnocchi's I have had thus far. The restaraunt is in an excellent location where they have fantastic markets on Saturdays and close to the pier.

Great lunch! Gluten free and vegan pizza was amazing. They have vegan cheese and put so much on the pizza! Don't charge much extra for vegan cheese and gluten free base is free to swap!

On Wednesdays they have half price pizzas, in particular they have nice, woodfired bases that are not too heavy, and working in Salamanca my friends and I took advantage of this a lot. Sadly my lunch hours got changed (which I was already annoyed about) so I double checked when they opened, and on here it says 11.30, so despite being bothered by my earlier lunch break I took solace in that I could at least still take advantage of this premium pizza deal. However, when went I was told they open at 12, not 11.30, so am unable to take advantage of the Wednesday pizza deal, which is very sad, as I really like the pizzas. I reccomend the chicken one and the mushroom one.

Fantastic friendly atmosphere!! Bands up the back at the Brick Factory and a dj down the front on the weekends. I like this place because you get everybody from the age of 15 up to 60. Has some great Sunday afternoon sessions. Pizza's and all the food is awesome as well!

One of the many bars along the iconic Salamanca strip. For a wine bar, they do have a decent wine list and wine flights, however, as a sommelier myself, I was horrified to see how they handle the wines. The bar staff is fairly unprofessional and slam the glasses when pouring, wines are kept on slabs of ice and poured like an amateur. We went on a Wednesday so they had 50% off pizzas but wouldn’t really go again, based on service and hygiene within the restaurant. Do yourself a favor and go to The Den or the whisky bar behind this place and Cargo makes better wood fired pizzas.

We had sangria, mulled wine, the antipasto platter (to die for) the oysters (natural and the best Kirkpatrick in Tassie) and I had pork belly for mains - so good, and the steak, also delicious. Would recommend to anyone coming to Hobart. The atmosphere is warm and inviting and the live music adds to the ambience. 10/10 :)

Upscale pub in the heart of the Salamanca tourist strip. Decent menu, straight up service, nice spaces - heated al fresco out front, cosy wine bar inside, pub style out back - good ambiance. We had a good Old Fashioned and a cool taster of four premuim reds, very reasonably priced.

Great place to go out on a weekend night. There are booths where people can sit and chill, a dancefloor area to get loose on and a pretty extensive selection of drinks Beth pre-packaged and freshly made/poured. Haven't been to Grape during non-club hours but I've heard from others that the food is pretty good. Part of the name comes from having an extensive range of wines racked against the side walls for people to choose from. Based in Salamanca, it's close to a lot of other venues and utilities. Reason why I'm not giving it 5 stars is the place gets too crowded at nighttime (like a moshpit but not everyone thinks that's a bad thing) and the men's toilets are quite filthy (but that's common across most of Hobart's clubs). Overall, I recommend Grape!

The experience overall can be summarised as a standard tourist wine bar, with a touch of intended class in Salamanca. I can’t help but feel as though this venue isn’t as passionate about their fromage and vino as first promised. We ordered the cheese board and some wine, the fromage. As someone who regularly dines at licensed fromageries I must say the cheese board was introductory, with blue that was underwhelming subtle on the palate and a interesting pairing taste profile of crackers (for my GF pals out there you will be greeted with loaf bread).

The 'G' is silent. Super crowded on a fri/sat night. The amount of times I've been wedged away from friends on those nights is silly. Drinks are kind of expensive and crowd thinks a lot of themselves wearing designer clothes and judging my favorite warm jumper (single wolf design, I'm a man of classic tastes). The men's room is definitely most entertaining on a weekend, without going into detail I'm usually finding myself ordering a shot of Jaeger after. Surpisingly chill and enjoyable mid week though. Live music is always a plus and plenty of room to breathe.

We ate Tapas style. With Tasmanian Wines, all very enjoyable. A Chartley Estate, Black Crow Pinot Noir, 10 Rowella Tas. Kleglinger Brut De Blances, 03 Piper Brook. Acompaning, Braised prawns with cafe de Paris butter 14 month aged Jamon w slow cooked peaches. Oyster asst, red wine & shallot vinaigrette, minced onion & smoked fish dressing. Rye bread, pancetta, whiskey, & Worcestershire. Cauliflower kofta w cumin, mint & yoghurt BBQ lamb w zhug & Lanka Chopped quail, almond, fennel & artichoke, accompanied by a beautiful chardonnay, Apsley Gorge, 08 Bicheno Tas. The finale, Roast pear filled w amoretti & icecream. Spanish donuts with chocolate sauce & icecream. With Frogmore Iced Riesling 08 Coal River Valley. All excellently prepared and presented, totally delicious. The service on arrival through to departure was faultless. This is a world class Tapas, Wine Bar, dining experience. Highly recommended.
