Walked in and it was all quiet like the pub in Ripping Yarns... But boy the food was great. The Pork Steak was fantastic and really juicy. The wife had the Irish Parmy and it was very nice too. Topped it off with a Malted Lagoon Red Ale. Very nice. Staff were very pleasant too. We taught each other about Shandy's.

If you like old vintage pubs this Is a great little Irish pub. Typical pub grub but with some class. It was yummy, huge servings but does not skimp on quality. Staff friendly and professional, definitely not a tacky establishment. Loved it and worth a visit.

Food was fantastic quality. Even the kid's menu pasta was good. The Guinness pie was really good and I had a special twice baked pork belly that was moist and delicious. Definitely try the Hellyers road whiskey from Tasmania! And they had lots of cocktail specials and a large selection of beer.

First time I’ve been to an Irish pub and not been happy with a Guinness. It just seemed thin and a bit watery. Never mind, the other beers they had on tap were sensational. In particular a milk stout that was absolutely delicious - smooth, creamy and chocolate flavoured. Food was pretty good - much better than I expected. Live music later in the evening made for a fun Friday night.

In Hobart for 2 nights and drawn here each one of them. Cosy, well heated pub with minimal pokies and screens distracting you so you can have a good chat. Very clean, had some great beer, steak, seafood pie. Today i had some tasty lunch and a cup of tea. Keep it up guys and i’ll see you next time i’m back in Hobart.

Unbelievable food. We stayed in Hobart 4 nights and ate in Irish Murphys 3 of those nights, I think that says it all! Food was delicious and well presented, staff were extremely friendly.

I've come in here for a drink a couple of times and have never had a bad experience. I don't know enough to make a detailed review, but I can say that I can recommend you stop by if you're drinking down in Salamanca. I see these place as more of a pub than a club, it's more relaxed, especially in the room on the left side of the venue where you can get a booth and sink a few drinks with friends.

A great regular pub with a good beer selection and good meals. $15 lunch 12 to 3pm. Gets very busy (and loud) on Friday and Saturday nights with live bands. Usually plenty of seating other times, so good for a quiet (or energetic) catch-up.

What a gorgeous building! The decor was lovely. We use to have a similar Irish pub in Bendigo - until they modernised it (took out the gorgeous old wooden bar and replaced with marble). Meals were delicious, the side salad was quite nice too.

Nice place. Friendly atmosphere. Staff were nice, but for some reason they had the right side of the bar blocked off, and even though we stumbled around inside clearly looking for a table, we had to go up and ask if we could sit in the off limits section instead of having somebody approach us. Food is tasty. The Irish stew is really hearty and nourishing, and the fish and chips is again very fresh and tasty with their homemade tartar sauce. They've got a decent selection of beers and cocktails, although I do remember them having some Moo Brew last year which is no longer there. Just something to note, they're definitely not open as late as 2am. Myself and my friends were kicked out around 11pm if I recall.

I was in Tasmania on a holiday January 2017, and I STILL remember this place as one of the best burgers I have ever had. I think it might've been a special that day; the beef and bacon burger. It was AMAZING and that is from someone who typically doesn't enjoy burgers. Everytime someone asks me my favourite burger, this is always my answer. It was a really good price and amazing quality! The atmosphere was really chill, and the employees were friendly and attentive. Always recommend this place if anyone says they are going down to Hobart.

We came to this hotel over the Easter weekend on 04/04/15, we went there to have a refreshment after visiting the Salamanca Market. My mother-in-law had a fall at the market and all 8 of us in the Pub had to quickly leave to go to her aid. We came back as it was a private place to speak to the ambulance officers and complete accident/incident information in one of the booths. The staff were brilliant they gave us a free jug of beer (replacing what we didn't finish), put my glass of wine aside and brought it back out when I returned and gave my little nephew who was in tears from his grandmother's fall a free bowl of chips and the chips were the best I've had. We stayed on for a while and the staff gave us ice packs and were attentive in every way and sympathetic to the incident. The service and food was flawless and they really are a caring friendly team of people that work there, I will go back whenever I go to Hobart and wish this Pub and the staff the very best success as they embrace the true Aussie spirit when a person is in need of a little help and have the best pub meals

(Translated) Classic Irish style pub located in the center of Hobart, near the harbor and Salamanca Market. Very nice atmosphere .... soft light, live music in the background and wooden furniture. There are also umbrellas and tables outside, at the entrance, so you can eat outside. The food was good and the staff very nice. (Original) Classico pub stile irlandese situato nel centro di Hobart, nei pressi del porto e del Salamanca Market. Molto bella l'atmosfera che si respira....luce soffusa, musica dal vivo in sottofondo e arredamento in legno. Vi sono anche degli ombrelloni e dei tavolini all'aperto, all'ingresso, così da poter mangiare fuori. Il cibo è stato buono e il personale molto gentile.

(Translated) I was lucky that the kitchen was open all the time because of the weekly market (art). With the veal cheeks (or cow?) I enjoyed a couple of half-pint from a local brewery from Tasmania (Cascade). The condition was brisk, nice and very accommodating. Overall, I was very happy with the visit. However, because of the weather, there wasn't much going on. Prices are in the upper midfield. Pint of beer 9 to 12 AUD. Strong beer 16 AUD. The pub is very cozy in itself, but has few seats. (Original) Ich hatte Glück, dass wegen des Wochenmarktes (Kunst) die Küche durchgehend geöffnet war. Zu den Kalbsbäckchen (oder Kuh?) Habe ich die ein paar Halfpint einer lokalen Brauerei aus Tasmanien (Cascade) genossen. Die Bedingung war flott, nett uns sehr zuvorkommend. Insgesamt war ich mit dem Besuch sehr zufrieden. Es war allerdings wegen des Wetters nicht viel los. Preise sind oberes Mittelfeld. Pint Bier 9 bis 12 AUD. Starkbier 16 AUD. Der Pub ist an sich sehr gemütlich, hat aber wenige Sitzplätze.
