i. m.I hired the function room for my 50th birthday and would highly recommend it to anyone. The area was huge, clean, came with its own bar and outdoor area. Scott and the rest of the staff were really helpful and made sure that we all had a great night. The food was great and there was plenty of it as well. Highly recommended
S. P.We arrived at 1350 when lunch finishes at 1400. We were not made to feel ill at ease at all for being sooo late (as has happened elsewhere) and the food was Excellent
We ordered from the $10 lunch menu.
We had the Mini Mixed grill and Chicken Leek pot pie.... both with chips. 👍
Service at the bar was quick and friendly and at Keno also. I was very happy with our first, not last, experience at the Queens Head Hotel.

Had many team meetings and functions with the Hobart Gridiron knights at the pub.
Went back with a big group on Fathers Day to try more off the menu! Despite the number of people being served the service didn't falter.
The Queens Head Hotel is the definition of THE Perfect Pub. Can't wait to visit again, love it! done

P. W.We were in there recently for a meal and I ordered wedges. I consider myself a bit of a connoisseur when it comes to chips and wedges and I have to say yours are the best I’ve had.

R. B.Our lunch experience was with out fault. All five of us were very impressed with our meals. Our one negative point was the meals were too big. Great choice on menu and ours were all very well cooked and presented. We would all highly recommend for a great lunch.
K. S.I flew in on a Friday for an evening wedding, but was delayed three hours by the airline. As a result I was forced to head directly to the ceremony on arrival, which meant I didn't have time to check in beforehand. This was a concern, because I knew I wouldn't make it to the hotel until 2am, well past closing. I need not have worried. Scott went out of his way to help. He made a special arrangement for me to collect the key from a secure location, and then followed up to ensure all went smoothly. You can't beat service like that! And the room was perfect. Comfy beds, well away from the bar so very quiet, with easy access to nearby restaurants, cafes and downtown Hobart. I'll be back!
J. M.Really enjoyed the meals here, the pub has a great atmosphere and the staff are excellent. The rooms are basic but very clean and tidy and have everything you should need. Highly recommend if looking for accommodation, a meal or a drink in Hobart.
C. G.Not a bad place to stop off for a drink or two. Spacious with plenty of seating. Clean, not too loud, fair selection of draught beers, with two ciders on tap. No air-conditioning makes it a little stale during summer.

J.Went on the 14th of Dec for a Christmas work dinner, was hard to get parking close by, had to park at least 3 blocks away, the bar staff taking our orders all seemed flustered and stressed and due to this one person missed out on their meal because they got "missed" when the meals arrived they were okay, my partners meat was a mixture of well done and medium rare, and speaking to others they had the same issue. My salmon was good though, but others said theirs was oily. This was a work function, I'm not sure what they are like outside of a busy setting like this but if they crack like this with a dinner seating of 25 then I don't hold much hope for a sit down meal for 4.

J. B.An underrated venue in North Hobart. Holds gigs on a regular basis and the tables are well spaced apart so you don't feel crammed in. Menu is on a big blackboard and has a good range of meals on offer for a pub. Pop in if you get a chance!
C.Probably the best pub roast I have had! Staff were very friendly and made every effort to ensure the dietary requirements of those at my table were met. Will return!!!

S. H.Me and a mate go here for lunch weekly. Always amazing meals. The $10 lunch specials are such great value. The team are always very nice and friendly. Such a great spot for lunch anytime.
