F.Beds are really comfy and clean, cleaners do a good job, they read any notes that you may have left for them and follow what you need.. no bad smells or stains, everything in my room was clean and sanitary, there was a bit of dust in my room but can't expect much more from an old building. Close to town and easy to get in and out, was able to wash and dry clothes effectively, no real noise or any bad characters hanging around.., anything that needed to be dealt with staff was onto it and very corporative / helpful.. I really enjoyed my stay and I want to personally thank the staff from Hobart travel Lodge hotel for being so kind and helpful very appreciative, especially of the overnight staff he was on top of everything that needed to be done and served my drinks as needed be or whatever else I needed to be done.. I will be staying again in future. Prices are pretty good :)
C. B.Cons: The room has a musky smell that we couldn’t get rid of. Smelt like an awful perfume has been sprayed around. Rooms are small and a bit overpriced. They provide coffee and milk but cups are kept at reception which is a hassle. We paid an extra $10 for wifi and it was extremely slow and spotty.
Pros: Good Location in the city. Lots of natural lighting in room and we had a nice view of the water. Staff were polite and friendly.

C. D.Nice and simple hotel located in convenient location in Hobart. Rooms were well kept and clean. Only a short walk to the CBD and pier areas, and just a block away from one of the SkyBus stops allowing for easy travel to and from the airport. Only downside was that the room I was in was not overly soundproofed against outside noise, so did hear some traffic noise; but for a short overnight stay, it's not a massive issue.
N. M.This was a great little hotel is an awesome location close to all the action. The rooms were a perfect size, bathroom was clean and the staff very friendly. Our room had a lovely lookout over the dock. As it was higher up it was super quiet. I’m sure there are more upmarket places but I’m not sure what more you really want than what’s offered here. It’s in the middle of the city so parking is a bit awkward but parking further away and walking meant we could go to that awesome bakery daily!
D. L.Small but clean room. Bathroom is very small and not well thought out. Shower has no screen so water just ends up everywhere. Staff are friendly and helpful. Onsite parking gets full quickly so have to park around the corner off site or find something in the street. Good location to the markets and city area.
M. H. V.There is smell in the room. I dont know bc of covid everything was changed but in my room there are no cups for coffee or tea. No phone to call reception if you have any question. Everything you need or want, you have to come down to reception in person. I feel it is inconvinience.
Location is a plus for this hotel as it is in city center. Lots of restaurant around.

M. D.The room was comfortable & seems like it was recently renovated. However, the bathroom was extremely small & uncomfortable to use. There was no shower screen or curtain, so water went everywhere after every shower. There was also no exhaust, so airflow was poor and I had to keep and do my hair & make up outside. The room was cleaned well & made up every day. Secure, under cover parking was available. The location of the hotel was quite good - less than a 10 minute walk to Salamanca & Battery Point.
C.The rooms were decent - I always appreciate a hotel that comes with a sink, microwave and mini-fridge. They were a bit tight and the beds were alright. The location is great - very close many things - including Salamanca Place. What gets this hotel the higher rating though is the customer service. Tavishi is fantastic and so knowledgeable about the area. She gave us some great tips for coffee, brekkie and ice cream. On our last day, we found out that our flight got cancelled and had to hang out in the lobby area until the wee hours - then gentlemen working that night was so kind and tried to make us as comfortable as he could. It was so nice to know that we could stay. Would definitely recommend Travelodge for the excellent service!

We arrived about 8pm, started driving at 5am the next day. We just parked our car in front of the hotel because it's free parking after 6:30pm.
They charge $12 parking per night so there's no point parking inside but if you want your car to be in a secured place, you can do so.
Rooms are good, had a mini kitchen, queen sized bed and a single bed.
S.Room was comfortable and clean. Bathroom was a little scratched up and well used, but clean nonetheless. Highly recommend booking in for the breakfast, this was the best breakfast we had at a hotel while we were away! Very good value for money!

C.Clean, tidy and COVID aware. Convenient to town with no catering provided. Confusion over taxi fares to airport... confirm the fare with the hotel voucher or pay more to driver.
P. H.Great location . Easy walking distance to the Salamanca market and Sullivans Cove. Lots of various restaurants near by. The room was good but the bathroom was very tiny. Buffet breakfast is good for the price. If you book a day ahead you only pay $14, normal price is $19. There is a basement car park but it's not free $12 per day, not bad.
J. M.Twin single room... UGH. I could not swing a cat in the shower. Overall, the hotel staff were friendly and the food was nice, but the room was just too small. Only one person could sit at the table to eat, the other had to sit on the bed. (Room service. Not our best plan of action in retrospect.)
Still, it was okay. Parking was a nightmare. (Unless you drive a bubble car.) Overall it was okay, but really, I just wasn't happy. I am sure the larger rooms are probably nicer?
P. S.It was a good stay we had water views looking over the gardens so it was a plus .... we also were fortunat to get a free breakfast one morning as there was a fire drill hence everybody had to exit the building. Upon entry selective guests were given the free breakfast option.
T. M.Liked the proximity to places of interest and the accommodation was well presented. All the staff we found more than willing to help or give advice. We had breakfast included with our deal which was excellent. Breakfast was adequate in the dinning room. Food is among the best you can expect.

Book parking as it fills up, but the alternate parking is just as easy. I would stay again.

G. B.Staff were very courteous and were always willing to try to help. The bed was very comfortable. Our executive room with a 'kitchenette', actually had a tiny sink, virtually no bench, a very small bar fridge and a microwave - no toaster or utensils. Not really a kitchenette. I am not sure what the standard room would be like if what we had was 'executive' but there was no table and chairs or small lounge as I expected. The room had 2 beds (queen and single) right next to each other, a small desk and chair and that was it. No real room for two people to move around at once. The shower room is the tiniest I have ever seen. You will not believe a toilet, shower and basin can fit in the space provided. I kept tripping over the corner of the shower when I wanted to use the toilet. We had trouble with some communication issues around our booking, but staff were always friendly albeit the issue did not really get resolved. The wi-fi speed and quality was unpredictable but free. Breakfast is the most basic buffet I have had in a hotel, but there was plenty and it was all fresh and edible. Location is good, but I think for what we were charged I expected better.
L. J.Holding the Travelodge name we thought this hotel would be on par with other Travelodge hotels. Unfortunately we found it somewhat lacking. On the plus side, our room was spotless and the staff were friendly, and the location was fantastic - you can easily walk to Battery Point and the Salamanca markets. However, the beds were so uncomfortable that none of us got a good night's sleep, and the walls were so thin we could hear the people in the hallways and even the lift, even though we were a few doors down from it. Also the triple room had very little space for three people's worth of luggage. Overall it wasn't the worst place I've stayed at, but we won't be staying here again.
S. R.Friendly, helpful, well presented staff. Tavishi was an absolute stand out. She was friendly, professional and extremely knowledgeable. She went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable, providing exceptional customer service with a smile at all times.
Building is outdated in many ways, some of the bathrooms have horrible showerheads that can't be adjusted and are impossible to turn on without soaking the bathroom. Showers are so small that a larger person would struggle to get into them.
Overall though, a pleasant stay at a reasonable price.

Small but decent rooms with good reliable daily cleaning, an environmental option available. Breakfast included, not an extensive menu but nice. Staff were solicitous as to my coeliac gluten free requirements, though it would be nice to see a dedicated gluten free area on future visits, reassuring indeed for the traveling coeliac. Postscript: dining room management have now implemented a dedicated gf table. Thank you so much for your consideration and professionalism.

T. M.The lady on the front desk was new and learning the ropes but did a fantastic job. Perfect location, just a few minutes walk from the docks and Sala***ca market. Unfortunately was in a room right next to ongoing lift works which meant my room was much louder than I assume is usual.
A. F.A Great location, only a block away from the CBD retail malls and the waterfront. Car park is $12 a day, but parking on the street in Hobart is a nightmare. Access to main roads (particularly to/from Sandy Bay/Huonville/Mt Wellington/anywhere south of Hobart) is really great. My only concern was that the room smelled of smoke, but this was rectified by opening the window. Great for those looking for a budget stay in the Tasmanian capital.
T. B. A.I liked the place. The rooms are big enough but some facilities weren't clean enough. The staff is a little bit rude, my parents in law tried to communicate with some people there (they don't speak English) and some of them don't put any attention about an specific concerned. That was absolutely disappointed
D. M.Clean rooms of a reasonable size. Minor issue with a light and the aircon was a bit noisy but otherwise an enjoyable stay. Staff were very polite and was a short walk to city centre, markets and the port.

Only the rooms in the upper floor have safes. Considering that anyone can take the lift to any floor that's not very secure if you stay in a room without a safe. We stayed in a room on the upper floor upon arrival in Hobart. When we returned after one week we were given a room on the second floor. Another design. Very small. Not enough space for two pax and suitcases. Tiny bathroom. Toilet and shower next to each other with an opaque sliding door. You will get wet feet if you need to go to the toilet after your partner had a shower.
We asked for another room and "voilá"... got a similar room as on our first stay but on the 7th floor.
Reasonably clean. The linen had a big stain. Even though one knew the linen had been washed and the stain was just not removable it felt a little disgusting. We would have asked housekeeping to change the linen but it was already very late and we just wanted to sleep.
Staff very helpful and friendly. Breakfast boring but cheap. Very close to the city center and to Salamanca Square.

We have had the buffet breakfast here before and it was great. We will definitely stay at the Travelodge again when we visit Hobart.

S.For the price it is very well positioned in Hobart CBD. Not much on-site parking but free Street parking over night. Very close to Salamanca. Breakfast was very good and a welcome inclusion.

The rooms are well cleaned and the staff was always helpful .. especially the young lady who greeted us at the reception. We arrived five hours early and he gave us the room anyway, as it was ready. Great for those who want to visit the main attractions and places of the city. The hotel is approximately twenty minutes to half an hour drive from Hobart Airport.
In this hotel we found an excellent quality / price ratio. Recommended!

Le camere sono bene pulite ed il personale è stato sempre disponibile.. specialmente la signorina che ci accolti alla reception. Siamo arrivati con cinque ore di anticipo e ci ha dato comunque la camera, in quanto era già pronta. Ottimo per chi vuole visitare le principali attrazioni e luoghi della città. L'hotel si trova a circa venti minuti/ mezz'ora di auto dall'aeroporto di Hobart.
In questo hotel abbiamo trovato un ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo. Consigliato!
